davidwhangchoi Posted August 3 Posted August 3 i hope the 1/28 is okay. good there's more interest in release Mospeada toys. For a while, it was dead. Now all these announcements at the same time. maybe the 1/60 will be good too. Quote
505thAirborne Posted August 3 Posted August 3 @davidwhangchoi It's definitely good to see more Mospeada toys & merch showing up. The question is will Sentinel take the plunge and make the Dark Legioss aka Shadow fighter, both variants. I'm tapped out currently moneywise, so I'm living vicariously through everyone here who got the Sentinel Tread, it looks really good. For now, I'm thankful I still have my Beta's. Quote
Mog Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) Yeah, it was a pain to paint: Would have been a bit easier if it wasn’t fixed pose. Had to keep looking back at the Sentinel Rey to make sure I got the colors at least somewhat right. Edited August 3 by Mog Quote

Shawn Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I might beg to differ a bit on the comment in that page regarding the weird detailing "Looking closely, the details are a bit crude and sloppy , but in a way, it's typical of 1980s robots. " Look at the Mospeada cutaways recently posted, or the strike valk poster in the gold book or the other Macross cutaways...the details are far from crude and sloppy in my opinion. Maybe wing flaps/spoilers/slats would be too fragile for handling something so large and bulky, since the wing edges are naturally something you'd granb onto, so they needed to add something interesting for the large wing areas, and came up with the split in half. Its definitely unique. And yes I will still buy one of these even if I find their choice of detailing odd. Quote

26662 Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Zero packing material via Amazon Japan. 😕 What you see is all there was. Inner box looks alright. 🙂 I’ll inspect later. Quote

And, yes, the muted blue looks great in your photos. But my OCD keeps seeing the bendy gunpod and the not perfectly aligned yellow array thingy. Quote
Sildani Posted August 6 Posted August 6 (edited) Arrived today with no fuss from Nin-Nin, decently packed with no wasted volume. I am very impressed with the engineering and build quality. The main landing gear alone are an amazing example of complexity and cleverness, and when they’re extended they’re rock solid. Thank goodness the Legioss is getting reissued this month. I NEED one for this beast. Edited August 6 by Sildani Quote
Shawn Posted August 6 Posted August 6 You are the first person I've seen who bought the Tread FIRST, then getting the Legioss. Nice LOL I want a poster of that box art, it is just too awesome. Quote
DewPoint Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Since we are comparing minimalist shipping... Hobby Genki by way of FedEx: Marginally better? There was a dent on the upper right corner of the shipping box, but it didn't transfer to the retail box. Amazon.jp has great prices, but their cardboard shipping boxes were thin the last 2 times I used them. Combined with DHL shipping, I received damaged retail boxes both times. Perhaps I was just unlucky. Quote
magicsp00n Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Got my TREAD yesterday. It really is fantastic, except for two bits which have already been mentioned: the missile bays doors don't open far enough, and the head articulation is just bizarre. The head is on a ball joint, it's just... pointing the wrong way. I don't really understand the reasoning there. But overall this TREAD easily takes the top spot. Quote
jenius Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Review spoiler: I was very let down by the knees and feet in soldier mode, and a little let down by the hips... But only because the hips don't allow a huge amount of leg flare in combined diver mode. Otherwise, I like it. Quote

Although this Tread is so nice I might get another of these if we get different versions. I love it though, very nice piece. Quote

Perxion Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Hi Everyone, Anyone know what kind of message is this? The delivery was scheduled for yesterday (08-06-2025), but it hasn't arrived yet and now it's showing me this yellow timeline. (Fedex courrier) Thanks! Quote

(Fedex courrier) From my experience, that's a generic message that's used for a variety of minor logistical issues on FedEx's side that result in the package being delayed in transit. I've seen this status get used for things like delays caused by severe weather or natural disasters that prevent a shipment from leaving a depot, delays due to mechanical breakdowns (e.g. unscheduled aircraft maintenance or in one memorable case a train derailing), handoff issues between local contract carriers and the backbone freight service, issues in customs paperwork in inbound/outbound customs processing, or just delays in customs processing. Same. It's happened to me a few times as well. I get along with all of my regular couriers so I asked them about this very scenario. I think in one case my package didn't make it onto the truck for a day or two. A second package made it onto the truck but wasn't delivered as scheduled because of convenience/logistics: my package was put on a truck that had a bazillion deliveries to places far from my address so mine got bumped to another day. It was actually listed on Toynami's website because there was a whole debacle about their shipment not clearing customs in time for SDCC. That' peeved many who attended SDCC in hopes of obtaining one. Quote

MKT Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Found another pic online, this one seems clearer of the face. 21 minutes ago, Masked Aviator said: Is it the same head scuplt but with a new skull visor? I was expecting to see dark, low-vis, gunmetal-type shades as per the single image put out by Toynami earlier, but now it’s just a light blue color. Quote
Big s Posted August 7 Posted August 7 I think the eyes should have been level with the person inside, but that probably would remove the lower jaw. But I still think it would look better that way Quote
Masked Aviator Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Now I am more curious about any difference in the motorcycle, as they only displayed it in armour mode at SDCC. Quote
vladykins Posted August 8 Posted August 8 The proportions on that just kill me everytime I see it. I will never understand how they bulked out the arms and legs like that when they could have gone more towards the original designs. Quote
