Plus the hexagonal bolts, the horrible orange and teal colors, the ugly-ass head... The whole thing stinks to me. Of course, that's to be expected from "Skunk Works Toys." 🙄 Quote
Duymon Posted Friday at 07:18 AM Posted Friday at 07:18 AM (edited) I'm not entirely sure what direction they're trying to go with this new legioss design but it's just not for me. Adding the gundam head and all the janky gundam bulk underneath in fighter looks really ugly. Also who blocks off half their front intakes by slapping large guns on the lerxes. I'll pass on the overstylized design and wait for my riobot stuff to ship and hopefully there's not crazy tariffs in the US at that time XD Edited Friday at 01:09 PM by Duymon Quote
505thAirborne Posted Friday at 06:54 PM Posted Friday at 06:54 PM When you consider every single Legioss toy (excluding kits) ever made since the 1980's, just for once I would like to see a company, no matter who... just take the original 1980's Anime design and make that. By that I mean, no more, revamped or re-imagined designs. Take the lessons from Sentinel and make the originals, they clearly proved it's possible in 1/48 scale to make very detail, high quality and solid fitting toy with accurate, impressive landing gear. Gakken: Big, bulky, hefty and for its day, a true legend. (No leg or arm locking mechanism's.) CM's: Oof-magoof! (No leg or arm locking mechanism's plus other issues.) Toynami: Looks pretty good but a QC nightmare all around, terrible landing gear. (Then & now) Evolution Toy: The irony of the word "Evolution" in your company name. (Poor quality overall and the worst hands ever designed.) Sentinel: Overall, very high quality, sturdy, rock solid, fighter mode looks amazing, however it is a re-imagined design, not OG. (Unpainted pilot figures are the only real negative IMO.) BANDAI or ARCADIA: The ball is in your court, seriously, just imagine an ARCADIA or Bandai made Legioss. Quote
Mog Posted Friday at 07:08 PM Posted Friday at 07:08 PM I do love the tweaks Sentinel did to the design: compacted the fighter mode, redesigned the transformation process to shorten the nosecone on the armo-soldier mode. Part of me wishes there was an option to angle the wings parallel to the ground, instead of having that downward cant. But there’s enough there that it doesn’t look out of place with the original Legioss design. Quote

Shawn Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I believe this is one of the designers accounts https://x.com/sakichooboys https://www.instagram.com/sakichooboy/ The same team of Aramaki, Lil Golem, and Marcy from Sentinel will be commercializing this figure at 1/60 scale through T-spark Toyrise. We focused on making it easy to play with, transform, and expand. We plan to release many more in the future. https://x.com/sakichooboys/status/1922596757168374217 1/60 scale seems really really small for the Legioss doesn't it? Maybe if they don't make the transformation complicated like the Riobot 1/48 they could pull it off Quote
sh9000 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) 1/60 would probably be between the two sizes of the Gakken 1/55 Legioss toys and around the size of an HMR if Bandai ever made one. The 1/55s were nice for their time and I can see something that size updated in sculpt with full 3 mode transformation work. Edited 39 minutes ago by sh9000 Quote
