Preordered my 6 at NY.  For reference, they listed earlier than the VE-1 and VF-1A Hikaru and later than the VT-1 and VF-2SS Nexx.

I pre-ordered from amazon japan....wasn't a very big discount.  They usually have a 30% discount off Masterpiece Transformers.  I'm new to the Macross thing...should I wait for a discount or just keep my pre-order which is around 11,000 yen?

Your call.. I believe NY still has orders open should change your mind.

I'm calling it a day as it been fun to ride the pre-order madness again. ;)

Good morning everyone, it's 10:00 AM here in Europe. Just woke up and grabbed one add NY. Did not plan to but I gave it a try and I seemed to work.

At least no preorder madness for me :D

I also got three by mistake at amiami.

The VE-1 and the VT-1 weren't this hard. You can still get them at MSRP on Ebay.

Apparently Amazon JP are not shipping the VF-4 to the US.

Yeah it seems pretty arbitrary what Amazon Japan is and isn't willing to ship to the US. So I don't consider them a reliable source on preorder days.

Missed on Nippon Yassan and the others (and anime-export is pay upfront only). I wasn't expecting such success with this guy! I'll wait for Mykombini, who is always a few days late to the game. I'll check around here for fellow members reporting on opening slots :)

If amazon JP doesnt ship to the US, use buyee to buy it for you and then ship it after its out.

Yeah, I had thought of that, but with Amazon’s price and Tenso’s fees, I think I could do better from AE or maybe Mykombini at this point.

This was a mess of a preorder, but at least it should show Bandai that fans love macross. I am a bit surprised at the popularity of this release and glad I was able to get one. My confirmation came in from hlj just a bit ago. I am hoping to get another to keep in box and will try here and there, but some of these sites need some serious work.

True, but with buyee you aren't limited to amazon. yahoo auctions is also a possibility tho i thk its better to use YA after the 4g is out. 

Has anyone pre-ordered via YA b4?

I have a just in case order of 1 and another order of 2 at Amiami.  If you want 1 I can have it shipped directly to you.  Just pay when they request the payment in March.
