MjrMisaHayase Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 (edited) Yes!! Edited April 3, 2022 by MjrMisaHayase
Britai 7018 Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 Thats great news, thanks for sharing. Sign me up for both, and pretty much all future Macross theater experiences.
twich Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 I am very excited by this! Loved taking my sons to Macross Plus in Spokane, WA. Twich
Master Dex Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 (edited) I just rewatched these movies lol. Obviously I'm still gonna go see them in theaters. They're amazing. Gotta keep the support going! Maybe a US Blu-ray release might happen from this too! Edited April 3, 2022 by Master Dex
Chronocidal Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Fingers crossed they don't bork up the presentation like they did with Macross Plus. Hope you all enjoy it, I'm just too far out of reach of any theater showing them to make it actually practical.
Bolt Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 We will definitely be there! Thoroughly enjoyed M+ on the big screen!
Hikaru Ichijo SL Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 I will definitely try to see the 2nd movie in theatres.

Bolt Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Stay tuned ! The link will be forthcoming, I'm sure. Whereupon you will see which theaters. I'm assuming the same ones as M+. But that's pure speculation, as of now.
Chronocidal Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Yeah, it's just whatever selection of theaters has a particular partnership with this limited release group. The nearest one to me is a couple hundred miles away, which just isn't feasible for a one-night event.
kajnrig Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Can anyone summarize what happened Macross-wise at this event? There's this, the surprise Arcadia Destroid Tomahawk announcement, a notice of delay on the WWM VF-25 and Mirage VF-31AX... anything else? Or was the movie announcement actually all there was and the others just coincidentally happened around the same time?
Podtastic Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 (edited) I loved these movies, albeit there was less Klan but that was my only gripe. They really drive home Delta's suckiness. Edited April 7, 2022 by Podtastic
blackconvoy_D01 Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 The only thing that would make this better would be that its a double feature!

100mega Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I'll be there for both! Hopefully no issues this time.
Kelsain Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 I’m willing to give Cinemark another try to not screw it up.
sh9000 Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 For future reference. https://www.fathomevents.com/search?q=macross
Britai 7018 Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Just saw that AMC has this listing https://www.amctheatres.com/movies/macross-frontier-the-wings-of-farewell-69560 And looks like Regal has it so tickets can actually be purchased. https://www.regmovies.com/search?query=macross
Master Dex Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 They say June but Fathom still has nothing. That is either a mistake or concerning.

Master Dex Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 I actually kinda want it in July cause I don't have a car that can travel to the theater I'd see it at until then lol. I can find a way probably.
Bolt Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Hmm. Both those theaters are a little further than the last time. I'm hoping Other theaters pick it up as well.
Britai 7018 Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 I wonder if maybe these movies aren't through Fathom (I'd be surprised). Just spitballing since I don't remember it saying anywhere explicitly it was through them. Either way, going to start passively clearing out my calendar for those nights.
Bolt Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Yes. I do believe fathom events is organizing these US releases.
GGemini Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Tickets are available through ATOM: False Songstress: June 16th, The Wings of Farewell: June 30th https://www.atomtickets.com/movies/macross-frontier-the-false-songstress-gekijouban-makurosu-f-itsuwari-no-utahime/274147 https://www.atomtickets.com/movies/macross-frontier-the-wings-of-farewell-gekijouban-makurosu-f-sayonara-no-tsubasa/285992
Bolt Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Ok cool. Ya, it's now listed at the same theater we saw +. Looking forward to seeing this on the big screen !
Yertle Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 I’m hoping that the theatre availability expands since right now the single option for me is 32 miles aways, versus last time when there was multiple DC area screening.
Master Dex Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 I as I was before and always am for event movies, have to drive 70 miles to see it but will gladly do that trip for something important to me such as this.
Bolt Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 I'll be driving about 50 miles to see it. In which i will be flooding everyone's ears in the car with Macross History. Lol.
