Looks nice.  I'm not familiar with the Good Smile Cyclone.  Can you, someone, speak to their quality?  From your pix alone, it sorta gives me the "budget toy" vibe.

It’s a prototype in the picture, but I’d assume that it’s a two part assembly, just not stick together so great here. Moderoid usually has pretty good fit in the final product, so it will look a lot better in hand

I realized that it is likely due to the prototype nature of the model, but when I noticed it my mind immediately jumped to this concept art.

Unlikely as it is to be the reason.

Yes, I remember the earlier post now.  Thanks for jogging my memory.  I'm just not a big fan of models/kits.  Has something to do with their heft and tolerances.  My very first VF-1 was a model kit and it turned out to be a floppy mess.  Instead of addressing its inadequacies, I tossed it.

Model kits have come a long way, even compared to the Bandai VF-1. But I still prefer non transforming kits. Most of my Gundam just seem to have lasted longer than most of my toys, probably due to lighter weight and simpler construction

I ordered from Hobby Genki.  I have not received any shipping notifications yet.  So far, I haven't has any issues with them yet.

I remember having to do this many years ago, when I signed up for a Tenso account - an ID with utility bill in my name.

I guess it's fair for companies to ask for this during registration or during the point of putting in the order - so one can refuse if uncomfortable with it at that point & look elsewhere. Doesn't look that good when they only ask for this when stuff just about to ship on an order placed months ago, which I am assuming it's the case here.

Same re: prepayment.  I *think* I ordered treads from Amazon Japan and fighters from Amazon US.  I’ve honestly lost track of all of my preorders.  Stuff just shows up on my doorstep unexpectedly.

I just tracked down some of my Mospeada  preorders and it looks like I somehow preordered 4 Treads.  Jack Daniels must have inspired those purchases because sober 26662 def doesn’t need 4:  i don’t have room enough to display even 1, but here we are.  :-) Maybe I was protecting myself from unexpected cancellations from one or more distributors?  Anyway, more to the point, one of the Treads was ordered from Nin Nin.  They didn’t require any ID this time.

Ok I might have to pick this up. It looks to be around 1/24 scale with an articulated pilot. Although the internal avionic layout looks like a circuit board the scale is really selling point.

Just saw a local preorder open up for this... a little over $525.  proly the sheer size and heft plus all the gimmicks and light up stuff.

Yeesh, that's huge.  Like, I can't say it's not tempting, even at that price, but I still think it feels too busy overall, both in all the extra markings and little details that look like they would just add excessive complexity and break easily.

It's still really impressive though.  I think the overall look is better on the robot, since it seems like they managed to make the tails even smaller than the Riobot version.

I don't know if I could justify something that big for a series I really never cared about though.  It's definitely a collection centerpiece, but we'll see who sells it, and whether the exchange rate helps any.

OK, you know what???.......I'm really kinda starting to like that Pose+ Legioss....someone PLEASE help me!  Don't have ANY room for it (not to mention wife would prob hit me over the head with it for that kinda $$$!).....and judging from that picture of it in fighter mode, it might actually hurt or worse! 😂
