Bandai just needs to release the god damn Kaki TV 1A so I can be done, all these other releases are just absurd at this point, finish the damn squad off already.

I alway thought the TV versions of Max or Kaki's VF-1A where the most boring Valk's in the show, since the hardly had any detailing. I myself would be more interested in Max or Millia's VF-1J but more hoping the finish the movie skull squadron where only the Hayao Kakizaki VF-1A has been released.Has anyone figured out Bandai's pattern for their releases!?

There is no pattern, they just release what they please. I'd rather finish the TV squad, which is just as complete as Skull from DYRL, then they continue releasing more oddballs like the VE-1 and a clear pack Hikaru 1S.

But the Vermilion Platoon already has two releases with VF-1J Valkyrie (Hikaru Ichijo) and VF-1A Valkyrie (Maximilian Genus) there is still only really, one Skull Squadron release so far but Bandai has teased two others... Guess we will all have to wait and see 🙄

They've at least teased the rest of Skull, if anything this means they are closer to completing Vermillion and should just finish it off, this dancing around one more release is frakking absurd, it's such an easy release to get out of the way too.

It's just getting exhausting caring about this line anymore, I've contemplated selling off what I have several times because I just don't care anymore, Bandai keeps making idiotic releases that make me want to not bother. First I had most of Vermillion in Hi-Metal R, with no signs of life from that line for such a long time, then they come in hot with a new DX line, give us Hikaru and Max, then nothing. Then they poor salt in the wound and release Vermillion TV Hi-Metal R figures, frakk off Bandai.

Guess when you'r an Old Fart like me, patience pays off! When I first started collecting Takatoku & Bandai 1/55 VF-1 Toys, I always wanted the VF-1D. Even Yamato didn't fore-fill my dreams, and now more the 40 years later, I finally got my wish! Got to have patience young Padawan! 😇

Vermillion Squadron had been around for quite a bit in 1/60 from Yamato...now we have it in HMR in 1/100-ish...and if you can deal with the deficiencies, you can have it from KC in 1/72....we'll probably get the DX Kakizaki TV-1A eventually....if anyone is in it for the short run, you'll likely get frustrated....for everyone else....it's just a waiting game...the way things are being released now seems pretty fast compared to the lean years right before Yamato came onto the scene and right after they went BK...

I also had the same sentiment at one time - the TV valks look too plain so held off from getting one.. Eventually when I got the 1/60 v2 Kakizaki TV, it kinda changed my mind. Perhaps call it mental gymnastics lol, but it's just the way the lines flow from the nose to the fuselage relatively uninterrupted by other colours or design elements that I feel better shows off the VF-1's lines & curves. In Yamato's implementation at least, the tight & consistent panel gaps also helps quite a bit to sell this illusion.

That looks very nice. I had to skip it since I got a that Valk at the start of the year along with the packs and the missioe set. Just hope we can see that bundle again with Max, Milia super VF-1J or with Roy Strike Valk from DYRL.

Want the mechanic edition ... but so damned expensive ... :(

Just wait esp if you already have a pair of DX VF-1S Hikaru and Strike Parts. Bandai is surely going to re-release this. I mean, what's stopping them for not making it more down the line, right? Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky for the re-release and pay less than how much this one is going for nowadays. :spiteful:
