  1. I bought 2 of the Revival Version. One is staying in fighter mode on my bedroom shelf and will never be transformed. The second one I transformed to battroid mode, which took me about 30 minutes. It will stay in my display cabinet and never be transformed again. 😅
  2. Here's a question.......... So, I've already had the Japan version of Macross Shooting Insight for PS4 pre-ordered for a long time. But, I also want to order the physical international PS4 version. Any links to where I can order it? Preferably somewhere that will ship here to Hong Kong where I live. I had assumed that Hong Kong physical game shops and also the Hong Kong Playstation online Store would be getting the international version, but seems like we are not getting it here due to some licensing related issues, at least according to some local game shop staff here that I've spoken to. So, I'm suddenly scrambling to find a way to order a physical copy of the international PS4 version. I've done a Google search and looked on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, but I'm not seeing it. Or at least it's not showing up when my address is set to Hong Kong.
  3. Every time I see there's a new post, it gets my hopes up that it's some actual news about the new series, but nope.😅🤣
  4. I've always thought calling the VB-6 a "Variable Bomber" is kinda silly as it doesn't carry any bombs, so can't drop any bombs. If you are going to keep the "VB" designation, it would make more sense to call it a "Variable Bombarder", as it's basically a highly mobile artillery piece that solves the problem of the extremely limited mobility and speed of the original Destroid Monster, by being able to rapidly fly to any point required in the battle space in a short period of time. Thus making the VB-6 much more tactically relevant and useful compared to the original Destroid Monster.
  5. I got rid of most of my Yamato V2s years ago, so I'm super excited about this Bandai 1/48 VT-1 DX. Got 2 on pre-order.
  6. Not really familiar with Crunchyroll. Obviously heard of them, but I thought they were some US only anime streaming service. Never realized they sold toys also,
  7. Picked up my 2 yesterday from my local Valk pusher. Only opened one so far and not yet transformed. I just put it on the display stand in fighter mode so far without the super parts attached. I only attached the missiles and the gunpod. Missiles attached very tightly to the wing hard points, which is a good thing in my opinion. No obvious issues, apart from the rubber head lasers are not straight. But that's normal and anyway it comes with a spare hard plastic set. But I've only spent about 10 minutes with it so far, so there may be hidden issues. Happy to report the wing pegs didn't pop off in the short time I handled it....LOL.
  8. Just picked up mine from my local addiction facilitator. 😅

    Hi-Metal R

Surprised they didn't show the HMR Q-Rau that was shown last time.

    Hi-Metal R

Yes, so far it does. Definitely looking forward to this one.
  11. If Bandai make the SDF-1 TV version toy, then the shoulder rail guns better be able to hinge downwards in Cruiser mode, so I can recreate the iconic Yoshiyuki Takani art. 😅 This is probably my all-time favorite piece of his artwork.
  12. While I'd love a Bandai DX VF-11B Super, VF-11C Super and VF-11C Full Armored, I think the chance is very small. Somewhat more realistically (maybe 😅), I'm hoping for at least a few of the following to be released by Bandai in 2024: DX 1/60 VF-31AX Arad. DX 1/60 VF-31AX Chuck DX 1/60 Tornado Pack Reissue for VF-25F Alto. DX 1/60 Tornado Pack Reissue for VF-25G Michael. DX 1/60 VF-25S Ozma Reissue with Armored pack. DX 1/60 SV-303 Vivasat (one can hope). ❤️ HMR Destroid Tomahawk. HMR Destroid Phalanx. HMR Nousjadeul-Ger (DYRL version). HMR VF-17S and VF-17D (my favorite VF from 1994 to 2008). DX 1/48 VT-1 Super Ostrich. DX 1/48 VE-1 Elint Seeker. DX 1/48 VF-1A Cannon Fodder, DX 1/48 VF-1A Hikaru (DYRL). DX 1/48 VF-1A or S Max (DYRL). DX 1/60 YF-30 Chronos Reissue (mine became so yellowed 😭). DX 1/60 VF-22S Max. DX 1/60 SV-262Hs Mirage or Bogue Red Knight.
  13. I've still got a couple of Yamato Tomahawks (the original release and the green one), which are still fine and not broken. So the Arcadia is an easy pass for me. But yeah, also hoping that Bandai eventually releases an HMR Tomahawk.
  14. As someone who studied the lineart extensively back in mid-90s when Plus and 7 came out (and also from my many discussions with Yamato, back when I was friends with the CEO), from what I remember, it's pretty much nearly every part of the VF-19Kai/F/S/P that is different from the YF-19. You cannot reuse the same molds/tooling. From what I remember, it's maybe only the hands, biceps and feet that are similar (and the gunpod for the F, S & P). Every other part requires completely different tooling. Basically, there is very little comonality between the YF-19 and VF-19Kai/F/S/P.
  15. Unboxed and transformed my Hi-Metal R VF-1A Kakizaki yesterday. Happy to report, none of the problems reported in the above post. Mine fits together fine.
  16. The incorrect shape of the front of the canopy on the Bandai DX really bugs me.
  17. That looks so nice. It's really a shame that we never got a Full Armoured VF-11C toy from Yamato or Arcadia. Hopefully, one of these days, Bandai will step up.
  18. Psycho Gundam always makes me chuckle. I call it the Lazy Boy Gundam. In my view, It's basically a robot that transforms into a robot sitting in a chair. 🤣
  19. As MKT already replied, the pic I posted looks like it has an optional belly plate for the delimeter (high maneuver mode).
  20. Minor fitment issues on the DX toy aside, which are mostly on the underside of the wings (which I personally can live with), I love the VF-31AX DX series and have 5 so far and will buy the Arad and Chuck versions if Bandai make them. The VF-31AX is probably my current favorite VF design and I'm a long time Macross fan and collector since 1982. There's just something about the VF-31AX design that really speaks to me. And it helps that I love the Zettai Live movie as well. For me it really helps redeem the Delta TV series,

    Hi-Metal R

I really don't get Bandai sometimes. I mean they already make the Hi-Metal R DYRL VF-1 pilots a decent, more realistic size, but still keep on making the TV VF-1 pilots tiny.
  22. New pics just seen on Facebook on Macross Fans United page, posted by Stone Cheung. In my opinion, both modes look pretty bad. 😓
  23. After seeing this post, I decided to check all my old Yamato VF-19/Kai/F/S/P toys. Some of which have been in their boxes since I got them and some of which I used to display but have been in storage in Ziploc bags inside plastic storage boxes for about 6 or 7 years. I found exactly the same break on one on my former display VF-19Kai and display VF-19S and also on one unboxed VF-19Kai.
  24. Hopefully Bandai have made some tweaks to the YF-21 sculpt, do do what they can to improve the look, as much as is possible. But realistically, a perfect transformation YF-21 toy that looks anime accurate in both Fighter and Battroid mode is an impossibility. It's really a design that only can be made to look good in either Fighter mode or Battroid mode, but not both. Just the limitations on having to base the toy on mid-90s hand drawn art. The pics of the upcoming YF-21 HG kit have really shown that the only way to get a good looking and anime accurate YF-21 in all 3 modes is through parts swapping. But I'll still buy 1 or 2 of the DX YF-21😅
  25. I actually, love the way the Super Ghosts look on the VF-31AX in fighter mode. To me it has quite an X-Wing vibe to it in Fighter mode. I just wish the DX Super Ghost kit had included the double beam cannon from the Armoured Pack, to recreate the look from the final fight in the Zettai Live movie. I don't really want to have to buy a second Armoured Pack just so I can have the beam cannon to attach to my VF-31AX with Super Ghosts.
