Scream Man
He also only uses them in Gerwalk, never in fighter whilst in atmosphere.
Scyla
Based on the Macross Mecha Manual the Armor Parts are designed to work in atmosphere while the Super Parts aren't. *looking at my Armored VF-25S in awe* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Is there any explanation why that is? Because the Armored Messiah has the same intake armor than the Super Messiah has. So it would rely entirely on the internal "fuel" storage. Which are much larger than on the Super Parts I assume. Other then that the Armor Parts look even more non-aerodynamic then the Super Parts. He also only uses them in Gerwalk, never in fighter whilst in atmosphere. So he is really slow because it is so bulky right? Never noticed that while watching the show. barurutor
Sorry, the Macross Mecha Manual doesn't explicitly state that the Armored Pack works in atmosphere. But I recall reading it somewhere...
Falcon18
I think both work in atmosphere. Just not in fighter mode. Ozma, while he uses his armored in atmosphere only used it in Battroid and Gerwalk. So the supers should work the same way too.

This is correct, Luca & Alto are seen taking off with Super packs from inside Island 3 before it gets blown up. They stayed in gerwalk until they were outside. Reïvaj
My pleasure! So, what do you think guys? Apparently everything fits right, only a few pieces to be revised. And while not actually canon, I think I kind of prefer this colour.
enphily
Good pictures. But i really want blue canopy Q_Q
skullmilitia
Honestly I don't give a crap about the color, but yeah, the blue canopy I kinda like over the clear.
Falcon18
Isn't this just a prototype piece? Meaning all the colours, etc are not final? Yes, I want that blue canopy too. It looks really good as compared to this clear one. Thanks for the pics too Reivaj! Everything looks nice and tight.
Chronocidal
Looks like their tweaks have been reducing the intake lip too, looks the same as the one on the VF-19s now. I can't wait!
UN Spacy
I still think that black is too black. Preordered canceled.

Frogze
It looks amazing. One question though : what are we looking at in that close-up picture of the shoulder/arm mechanism in fighter mode?
Dobber
Kurisama, that gif is the thing of nightmares. Chris
Scream Man
It looks amazing. One question though : what are we looking at in that close-up picture of the shoulder/arm mechanism in fighter mode? It's some sort of cross section on the shoulder I think. The top part looks like the connection point for the shoulder fast pack. Cool lookin pics, Can't wait for the final color ones.
Ignacio Ocamica
Thanks for the pics!!! The YF-19 can't come soon enough.
Valkyrie addict
The shoulder picture shows new locking tabs for the FP addons in fighter mode, a problem with the old YF-19 where that part of the shoulder was left in the air making it extremely floppy. Prototype looks real good. April can't come soon enough.
Falcon18
Colour test comes next. So no, those aren't the actual colours, including the canopy. Awesome. Can't wait for pics of the final product!

wm cheng
Looks good... especially from the top, it lessens the thick intake lip (not sure if they actually did anything, I think its just the angle of view). I sure hope this is at the level of execution of the VF-4G - its the best one in my collection from Yamato.
Kanedas Bike
Agreed, thanks for keeping everyone updated with the progress pics that Arcadia/Mr. K put out. Certainly helps to keep the enthusiasm high for the release. -b.

YF-29 Durandal
How will you guys manhandle your YF-19's without breaking off the canards? I think that it would be best to break them off once you open the box just to have it done.
Scyla
Quick question. Is it confirmed that the toy will come with an included stand? Has someone tested the stand that came with Roy's VF-1S with the VF-19 from Yamato?
ChaoticYeti
I tried it. The Arcadia stand is a brick. I would be happy if they packed it in with the YF-19, or at least sold it separately. It holds up my VF-19 in all modes. The arm locks in place at all joints, and you have a pivot on the top where you plug in the valk connector, and even that one needs to be removed and reattached as it does not rotate freely. It is more solid than my Yamato launch arm stand. I do hope they revise the storage covers, though. I have to use a tweezers to lift them up.
