Roy Focker 207
These toys are like Macross the First. Both have taken a break. Came back under a new label and restarted production reintroducing the things that have already been release. Then both went on an indefinite leave.

HMR is dead and Bandai has no plans to resurrected it anymore... Anyone still need? HMR Regult for 11.5k yen (packaged resealed and damaged, copyright seal missing) https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1152266933&ref=list&keyword=マクロス&lang=en
Black Valkyrie 150
That's why the current ones, their price are very high.

sh9000 7,892
That looks cool! If the N-Ger was a little bit taller then it would be great. Come on Bandai release the HMR version.
borgified 234
I'm going to question you on that one @Convectuoso. Where did you get this image from? A version of this was shown at one of the Tamashii Nations Show at around last year, however it didn't make it into the HMR lineup yet.
Convectuoso 337
@borgified I took that picture. The N-Ger is the 1/100 model kit by Over Dard, which was built with custom articulation.
borgified 234
Thanks for clearing it up and good work @Convectuoso! Bandai still needs to release the Tomahawk. Phalanx, N-Ger, Q-Rau and the Regult Scout for the HMR lineup..

Yeah I meant if your N-Ger was a little bit taller. That’s why I’m hesitant to build any of the 1/100 kits that I have.
Convectuoso 337
@sh9000 I know, but model kits look like the only option to complete an interesting lineup in 1/100-ish scale. I can look past some scale inconsistencies if the figures and kits look good together. That's why I'm trying to have all my 1/100 kits built, and some of similar size (such as the Wave "Non-scale" VF-0 line)

sh9000 7,892
Yes still very good and close enough. Put on the Strike cannon and recreate some DYRL scenes.
Drad 17
I haven't kept up. Is Macross Hi-Metal R officially dead? I hope not. Where's my Max and Kakizaki TV VF-1A's? TV Roy VF-1S? Queadluun Rau? Wasn't the Tomahawk ready to go? I'm only buying one DX because of cost/space issues, but I was all in with Hi-Metal R.
Bolt 319
Scroll up to @Roy Focker comment. It's the closest statement I resonate with, personally.
borgified 234
Not to be snarky @Drad, do you read previous posts? I think that we're all guilty of that as we read only the updated news and not the old ones.

Still didn't see anything that officially said Macross Hi-Metal R was done. If it is, bummer.
easnoddy 64
I'm sure its not completely done, but any Macross HM-R releases will likely be few and far between at this point.

vladykins 88
I think folks are just speculating since nothing was shown in the HMR exhibit.

easnoddy 64
I expect them to milk the HM-R VF-1 mold a few more times. As for Q-Rau/N-Ger and Tomahawk/Phalanx...not holding out hope. Perhaps they regretted milking the VF-4 mold?

I don’t remember seeing any ‘official’ announcements made by Bandai when a toy line gets cancelled. They just stop and move to the next thing.
frankell05 18
Fwaaaaaaak yf-19 and yf-21 are never going to happen. It's still left up to studio half eye to have produced the only good ones at the 1/100 ish scale.

no3Ljm 1,382
It's a surely bet that when they [R]estart this line again, we're going to see another round of [R]efined VF-1's all over again to somehow [R]eintroduce the new line to the customers. Announce and show some prototypes of some obscure mechas that wasn't produced from the last line in events and whatnot, and during midway of the new line they will just set it aside the whole thing again. But hey, atleast new collectors get to buy some new batches of [R]efined VF-1's at MSRP. Win-win again for Bandai, right?
DewPoint 76
Are you sure that it won't be [R]enewed, [R]epaint, or [R]eissue?
