Kinda sucks for everyone who already bought the recent revival with Super packs, or still have the previous renewal but no Tornado pack?  I'd probably buy a separate Tornado pack--but no way I'm buying a whole 'nother -25F just to get the Tornado parts...

2 "combo packs" in a row seems ridiculous for the same exact base valk.

As much as I want Bandai to actually release something I want to buy, my wallet is appreciating the long breather.  

I wouldn't be surprised to see another new VF-1 release announced around Christmas though, or at least some new DX of some kind.

Hope they fixed the sagging when the wing attachments are on. Anyone who has the renewal tornado packs knows.

I get the impression that the original Tornado packs weren’t very popular..

I wonder if this is Bandai’s new strategy for WWM DXs? Release everything as a set.

In this case, there’s quite a few sets left:

VF-25F Armored set.
VF-25S Super set.
VF-25G Tornado set.
RVF-25 Super + Ghost set.
VF-171 Nightmare Plus Armored set.

I have the original Renewal Tornado parts but, aside from a test fitting/swooshing, I don't think I've ever displayed them.

I wouldn't mind having a backup Revival 25F but the price is making me hesitate.

That's going to be very unfortunate.  I have been waiting/hoping that they release the 25F armored parts, but as a separate package or at least offer both individually and as a set. 

I really don't need another 25F. If they force a set only purchase, then it's a skip for me.

When I saw this I faceopalmed because they went straight to VF-25 Tornado instead of Luca or hell, even the VF-25F Armored.

They could've made a brand new set in a new color scheme to get some completionist sales but noooo, another Alto 😕

Same. I still have my Renewal Tornado pack, but I think I put them on all of once. The sag was bad. I'd need to see reviews for the Revival to see what reinforcements were made and if they were enough.

Except the YF-19. That had to come barebones as can be so that it can be mismatched with the YF-21 that followed right after. 🙃

Anyway, once again, out of the kindness of their hearts, Bandai really did toss in another main body with this accessory pack lol.

It doesn't seem like they made any improvements at all. That means some of these parts are older than the renewals, since the Tornado parts only got partial updates for that release. I guess I can wait for reviews to see how it fares, since it's Michael's unit that I want. Hopefully they eventually do that. They can do Luca's first while my wallet rests. The 27 on the other hand... gonna have to think on that.

If the supers haven't been fixed they're going to be saggy, which sucks.  On the other hand the matte looks so much better.  My old Alto ended up in "in atmosphere" mode.  Normal Gerwalk with the cannons still attached to the back because the wing parts were droopy and it felt like the wings were going to snap off.

Will be getting one, as no longer have my old Tornado Parts. 

Will keep it on atmospheric fighter mode, which is the mode I think looks best.

The supers needed to be jettison off the 25 for atmosphere flight in episode 1 like the VT-1 did in DYRL. I liked that they kept the physics from DYRL and SDF-1 series.

 Then they let Alto fly around with these crazy tornado parts that are more massive than the supers. (droopy wings) MacrossF just threw away common sense and never looked back.

The tornados have a distinct atmospheric form with exposed intakes, come with larger wings, and can vtol, not to mention they were intended to be a massive tech advancement over the starter equipment, so idk how there is a problem there.

The supers being jettisoned on a space colony was the real head scratcher IMO. Other than being done for the sake of homage, there's no reason the plane can't fly with those on, especially if they can provide their own thrust. The only explanation is that they were empty and useless anyway.

The matte does wonders in making those bulbous shapes not look like kiddie toys. I'm tempted, but the 27 is coming up and I prefer 25G's tornado. And wallet is die. Must resist. 😭

It actually just occured to me tonight that it might have the tighter joints that people say the 25S Heavy has, which would make it worth getting another 25F to me....

From what I read the hip joints on the new 25S are quite stiff, and support the weight of the full armor set well. I wonder if they would do the same on this to support the full weight of the Tornado sets, which are almost all on the back

The tornado parts come with a tripod for battroid mode. For me, fighter is the only way to go with those parts.
