  1. 1. If you lived in Japan would you pre-order a VF-4?

    • I would pre-order but I'm not sure I can afford it.
    • Yes I would pre-order, but I would only buy it if it was under $300 (about 24000円).
    • I would pre-order it and buy it at any price.
    • I would pre-order it just to bump the numbers, but won't actually buy it.

Luv prototype's ,their art within themselves , a panelined/weathered prototype are masterpieces!

Please let me keep my job to be able to afford this!!!!!!!

I hope they are putting the test figure proactively on stand to avoid it from flipping over accidently during the show.

Maybe they'll reissue the much sought after yamato display stand at the same time the VF-4 comes out?

Nah, that'd be hoping for too much.

I'm pretty sure that in the last update/interview on Yamato's website they said they were proud how balanced the toy was. The stand seems to indicate otherwise but there could be other reasons why they've decided to go that direction.

I like to think like someone said to hold up during a convention/ press event where people may bump into the table and so on.

It's actually going to be more grey, which should be easier still. However I don't feel the white here really brings out any detail, which the VF-4 sorely lacks in many instances already.

Is it just me, or does that hinge that the legs connect to loks a bit thin?

I keep getting a web site error with this link...is it something new or the same as was posted a few pages ago?

Chris

Same display, better photo.

With only a hip joint and a knee joint, I dont think the legs will be as poseable as the other valks. Same thing with the arms, but that's no problem as I will most likely leave it in fighter mode.

I was just thinking the same thing about the knee joint , I guess it's yamato's-"no kneeling policy" like the 1/60 VF-1's

Yeah, but at least there was a joint at the intake area. But I guess they would be going away from the line art by adding joints.

poor chap is tired from a long day

thanks for the pic, antibiotictab!

Hrmm, are they making the final product in a glossy finish? I hope they use a matte finish.

I think the head would look cooler if it was more recessed into the hood, for example:

Still buying the crap out of it, though.

This is f#cking awesome... more info on this picture?

I agree. I don't see this plane being shiny. Is there anything that would indicate otherwise somewhere?
