  1. They are not connections, but parallels. A connection would be if the lightsaber were forged from Excalibur, a parallel is saying that the lightsaber fills the same role as Excalibur. In that way Duke is right now up until the end of Empire. At that point Lucas took a left turn away from the Arthurian legend towards toy marketing and recycling his own stories. The prequels were a huge example of that. I am just curious to see where the storyline goes from here. Good analysis Duke.
  2. So why are you having a woman portray Hikaru? Could you not find a male model to fill the role?
  3. I have no problem with that, maybe someone in hollywierd will find a certain in progress Space Opera book series and option it. Look down.
  4. Nice scale reference, that thing is coming together nicely.
  5. When I first started watching it i saw parallels with, of all things, firefly, and that got me interested. I watch this show still on occasion, but am curious how they plan to actually work all these things into canon. I am excited about the Thrawn news for the hope that it brings my own theory to life regarding certain Ep VII+ characters. The thing is, i want to see more of what happened post Jedi, but then I guess that will have too much impact on the coming films. Still, I want a freaking Rogue Squadron show.
  6. Nice, so you are doing this all by hand, no 3D modeling at all?
  7. http://tggeeks.com/blog/2016/02/01/tg-geeks-webcast-episode-58/ So the interview posted. According to McKeever, "Sony has the rights to make a live action film based on all 85 episodes of robotech, and can approach it from any direction they want." He repeats that at least three times. Still listening to it now, LOL, a lot of BS coming out of his mouth.
  8. A couple of old podacsting buddies just did an interview with Kevin McKeever regarding this movie. Unfortunately they were not able to bring me in on it, but they are going to send me it first along with notes of what happened before and after to get my analysis. Apparently he was quite squirrelly during the interview, especially regarding the rights issue. THis should be an interesting listen. Once it goes live I will post the link with my reactions.
  9. It just surprises me that the Air Force would allow the A-10 to have them. Some one high up must love the A-10, finally.
  10. Was he wearing a Helmet Mounted Curing System? In an A-10?
  11. I agree brother, the nominations this year have some serious WTF?
  12. Wow, that looks great, do you have an online portfolio anywhere?
  13. He will be missed, but is it wrong for me to wonder, who will number 3 be? They always come in threes, so what 69 year old entertainer will succumb to cancer next?
  14. Pretty cool, one minor nit, in zero-G environ/exo-atm smoke just forms a cloud, it doesn't rise. Smoke rises due to temperature differential with the air. In 0G is just expands out in all directions.
  15. Am I the only one who gets a 7 samuri vibe from the picture? Not that I have an issue with that, a mashup of the 7S with Star Wars with them capturing the DS plans could be pretty cool.
  16. OMG I want!! You're planning to make this an airsoft gun right? That will be beyond epic. Also what 3-D printer are you using?
  17. It's a strange world when the trailer for the ID4 sequel feels more like a Star Trek movie then the actual Star Trek Trailer.

  19. Memento was a fantastic movie that went over the heads of your more idiotic moviegoers. I got it on the first viewing and thought it was one of the smartest movies I'd ever seen with a clever way of telling its story that still left the audience guessing as to what the truth really was. To remake it is a horrible idea.
  20. Giving Battlefront a pass for the same reason I gave Titanfall a pass, no single player campaign. I don't care how pretty it is, if it doesn't have a storyline to go with it, I'm out.
  21. The Prometheus script, pre-Lindelof was a great read and a solid story. You can still see aspect of it try and claw their way through his botched doctoring of it. So long as they keep Lindelof and his croanies away, this sounds like it could shape up to be pretty good. Still, too bad it kills the Blomkamp Alien 5 that erases 3 and 4.
