  1. The soundtrack is distracting, but otherwise this is awesome. Two Nits: I want the dialogue That X-Wing pilot who gets blown away looks like he's giving himself an HJ the way he handles that stick. Flight sticks move back not up like that. No wonder he was hosed, his stick must have broken loose.
  2. And Northrup has revealed that they plan to use it as the basis of their 6th gen fighter.
  3. I'm actually ok with this one, the trailer looks solid and it has been long enough that hte story could use a refresh. for a modern audience that might not be familiar with the story. Wait what? With a drone? I can still see the basic storyline working, but then make it a whole new movie, or a some kind of indirect sequel.
  4. Those were just examples, I wouldn't expect them to go for 10 different airframes either.
  5. The thing about the F-35/JSF program is that it should have been handled in much the same way as the F-15/16 B-1 programs. All three share a common tech/engine base. While this wasn't completely intentional it did color USAF acquisition towards the end of the 70s. The JSF should have done something similar. Develop a prototype/demonstrator that would mature the engine. sensors, flight control, and weapons technology. Then take that information and design separate aircraft using that common architecture and supply chain. In that way each service could have their own specialized aircraft for the role but share the supply workload. For the Air Force: An actual F-35A to compliment the F-22. A twin engine F-22 follow. A twin engine CAS aircraft using the F-135 core and stealth tech (a true successor to the A-10, I have sketches in my notebook, lol) For the Navy: A twin engine F-14-F/A-18E-F follow on. A lighter, single engine A-7 successor (though the navy would probably prefer a twin engine, oh well) A CAS/S-3 replacement based on the F-135 core and APG-81 based larger scale AESA radar. For the Marines: The light/single engine A-7 successor A VTOL variant A navalized version of the AF CAS aircraft. For the Army: Give them the CAS aircraft, the air force doesn't want the role anyway. This would also have employed a great many more people by farming out the individual aircraft to different manufacturers instead of forcing them all to work together on different parts of the same aircraft.
  6. A book review of the new Heir to the Jedi novel, from what I understand this is supposed to fit in the new timeline for these movies. http://noblestorm.blogspot.com/2015/03/book-review-star-wars-heir-to-jedi-by.html
  7. I just want season two with more Atwell vs Regan fights, heck yeah...
  8. Better than most of the shows, with a nice twist at the end. Could make Power Rangers actually watchable.
  9. Leader1 looks great, the SR-71 bot has a halfway decent plane mode, and actually looks better then the RotF Jetfire, will have to how it looks painted up and from underneath though
  10. cool, now can we get some clearer pictures of the SR-71 mode of the one?
  11. Now we just need to get the two of them into cat suits or less and fight it out, mud helpful but not necessary.
  12. Seriously WTF was that? The stupid panty shots were just...
  13. Eh, trailer looks like it might be an interesting movie, maybe if it weren't FF.
  14. While Paddington doesn't look like something I, or my boys, are at all interested in, the reviews have been overall good. Strange Magic on the other hand, the trailer made my boys say "That looks like a worse version of that Epic movie we saw a couple years ago. Hey let's watch Epic again, that was a fun one."
  15. Simon Pegg as co-writer is the first good news I have heard about this film. While he is a hardcore SW fan, he respects the source material, so hopefully we'll get an actual Star Trek film this time. maybe he'll even find a way to close some of the plot holes and stuff some of the demons back into Pandora's box from the last ones.
  16. Nice work Kurisama
  17. Liking Agent Carter, who do we think the My best, it's
  18. It's a fan image, saw it on Deviantart a while ago, nicely done though.
  19. Watched the first episode, have not seen the second yet, but was promised Haley Atwell and Bridget Regan on screen together, *goes to happy place*
  20. Interesting, looks like the major won't have the face of an underage girl in this one, thank goodness.
  21. Just finished initiating my first Airworthiness Directive (we don't get to write them, that goes to the legal folks). It's a corrective action for a glitch that was discovered, that while it hasn't been a problem yet, could be. Cool to know that something I did will help keep people safe.
  22. Looking at starting up my diecast plane collection again. The local hobby shop has the Italeri 1:100 diecasts fro $10 a piece, cheapest I have ever seen them, and once I start buying them they will order specific ones I am interested in. What is the general consensus on these, good, crap? I have yet to see them out of the package and the pics on flying mule don't seem to do them justice.
