  1. ID4 was a decent, if flawed, attempt to create a then modernized take on War of the Worlds. Sure it could have been done better, but it was the 90s, and that well, it was the 90s and Dean Devlin.
  2. Looks interesting. Quick point, there is no firey exhaust on a B-2.
  3. That looks fantastic Drew
  4. I love this movie, and in it love does conquer all in a way, that is why C. Nolan changed the ending to have Coop see his daughter and Anne Hathaway again,
  5. love your stuff drew
  6. That image has been floating around the web for over 10 years now.
  7. that was classic, and Hammil was really channeling his Joker voice that episode. I hope that the "flashpoint": doesn't erase the whole season, that would piss me off if they didn't handle it right.
  8. The human element didn't hurt the movie that much, though Hathaways's speech was overdone, and could have been toned down. Though the idea that it was love that brought Coop back to his daughter is all wrong. If you paid attention to the movie you would see that it was the future humans that sent him back to see Murph one last time, as thanks for doing what needed to be done to save the human race.
  9. I love how these Roblowblech die hards seem to think that a live action Macross Saga can happen. HG doesn't have the power to allow that.
  10. Very nicely done, look forward to the finished product
  11. Given that it is Sony, a Japanese company, maybe they can work out something with HG. But I am doubting it.
  12. I must introduce my boys to this movie, time to dust off the DVD.
  13. The soundtrack is distracting, but otherwise this is awesome. Two Nits: I want the dialogue That X-Wing pilot who gets blown away looks like he's giving himself an HJ the way he handles that stick. Flight sticks move back not up like that. No wonder he was hosed, his stick must have broken loose.
  14. And Northrup has revealed that they plan to use it as the basis of their 6th gen fighter.
  15. I'm actually ok with this one, the trailer looks solid and it has been long enough that hte story could use a refresh. for a modern audience that might not be familiar with the story. Wait what? With a drone? I can still see the basic storyline working, but then make it a whole new movie, or a some kind of indirect sequel.
  16. Those were just examples, I wouldn't expect them to go for 10 different airframes either.
  17. The thing about the F-35/JSF program is that it should have been handled in much the same way as the F-15/16 B-1 programs. All three share a common tech/engine base. While this wasn't completely intentional it did color USAF acquisition towards the end of the 70s. The JSF should have done something similar. Develop a prototype/demonstrator that would mature the engine. sensors, flight control, and weapons technology. Then take that information and design separate aircraft using that common architecture and supply chain. In that way each service could have their own specialized aircraft for the role but share the supply workload. For the Air Force: An actual F-35A to compliment the F-22. A twin engine F-22 follow. A twin engine CAS aircraft using the F-135 core and stealth tech (a true successor to the A-10, I have sketches in my notebook, lol) For the Navy: A twin engine F-14-F/A-18E-F follow on. A lighter, single engine A-7 successor (though the navy would probably prefer a twin engine, oh well) A CAS/S-3 replacement based on the F-135 core and APG-81 based larger scale AESA radar. For the Marines: The light/single engine A-7 successor A VTOL variant A navalized version of the AF CAS aircraft. For the Army: Give them the CAS aircraft, the air force doesn't want the role anyway. This would also have employed a great many more people by farming out the individual aircraft to different manufacturers instead of forcing them all to work together on different parts of the same aircraft.
  18. A book review of the new Heir to the Jedi novel, from what I understand this is supposed to fit in the new timeline for these movies. http://noblestorm.blogspot.com/2015/03/book-review-star-wars-heir-to-jedi-by.html
