  1. Frag me sideways people, I have seen even the most intelligent people I know posting this crap. It is not a stealth hornet. It is a hornet that has had its wing and forward fuselage removed and then was fully plastic wrapped. AMARG used to do that a lot more as a means to save space. However the time need to wrap and unwrap became too costly so they do the simpler wraps we are used to. They still experiment with larger scale wraps and that is all this is!!!
  2. Frothy I used to work at Edwards I know what you mean. Now I live in Silverdale, working for the FAA, I miss the sound of jet noise some days.
  3. The brakes jammed on landing forcing it off the runway. Reportedly the damage is minor, some prop repair, clean up, and of course, fixing the brake issue.
  4. In sexy airplane news. A replica of the second sexiest airplane to ever exist, right behind the YF-23, flew for the first time, 75 years after the original was built. The Bugatti 100p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yZdrvgV4qE
  5. Very nice, would love to get an outfit like that for my wife.
  6. I am not saying this as a hater. But I do not care for that design of the gunport door. I realize that is just another in a long line of design compromises, but come on. I very much see that door snapping or jamming during inflight firing trials just by how much it is jumping around in the static test. Bu then with that gun blister they didn't have much choice. The gun cover for the Pak-Fa is a far more elegant solution, but then using a single barrel cannon afforded them that ability. The F-35 Gatling cannon requires the larger opening.
  7. For the fan who has everything including a ton of money and space.
  8. LOL, thanks for the faith, but I'm not able to play the politcal game well enough.
  9. Saw the movie this weekend, needed to get out of the house for a couple hours. Anyway, I won't rehash here, but this is my review of the movie: http://noblestorm.blogspot.com/2015/07/terminator-genisys-review.html Overall, it was a cheesy summer action flick that was not worthy of the Terminator name, but it could have been made good, and a proper reboot.
  10. The last Deus Ex Game was awesome, that fan film, off the hook, and the next one looks like a worthy successor. Now, I had an idea the other night, for some reason I put on the Robocop remake, it was one of those nights don't judge me. But, as I was watching it, and seeing all the tech shown in the movie, it occurred to me, that with some tweaks it could be seen as Deus Ex prequel. Think about it, it's a definite distopia with multiple cyborgs, automated bots, megacorps, etc... All it's missing is an Illuminati connection.
  11. I wanted this movie to be good, but am not surprised that it turned to crap just like most of the Terminator Movies. I grew up watching a version of the Terminator my G-Pa got that had the cut scenes at the end (back in the 80s) that showed how the whole plot was a casual loop, and how skynet planned to bring about its creation even with the death of Sarah and John. The reveal that the final battle took place at Cyberdine, and that those parts of the terminator survived forms the basis for the creation of Skynet. Even if the terminator were successful, it likely would have self destructed at Cyberdine in order to ensure the creation of Skynet. T2 threw the causal loop out the window with its ending, and no one in the movie ever mentions it. Even the cut scenes didn't help matters, there is no reason to ever create the time machine to ensure John Conner's birth and even if you did, they would have to send a terminator and a brainwashed Kyle Reese back in time to do so, to ensure John grows up the right way. Taken on its own T2 can be a good, fun illogical (lets change the past) sci-fi action movie, but it fails as a sequel to a true Causal loop storyline, and also breaks some of the rules established by T1. T3, I view as a poor attempt to try and correct the timeline. It shows that somehow the Cyberdine tech survived, and all they managed to do was delay Judgement Day. It could have been done better, with a better John Connor, but it tried to correct the issues left by T2. Even then it leaves massive plot holes, especially in regards to why Kyle tells Sarah certain dates for Judgement Day, that obviously are wrong. T4. This movie should have saved the franchise. They jump forward, have an awesome cast, and show us the future war. Unfortunately it was saddled with bad plotting and a terrible director that just bogged the whole thing down. The root story should have worked, and some nice twists could have been worked in, but the fact that Skynet knew who Kyle Reese was ruined things. All the new terminators, especially the giant one, just made no sense and screwed with things. If it had just been the story of how John C rose to power as the leader of the resistance, and met Kyle it would have been great. It maybe could have even introduced or foreshadowed the T-800 at the end, or showed early T-600 infiltration attempts, instead of making them those lumbering oversized humanoids. A proper sequel, or two, would have shown the resistance coming full force against the T-800 infiltrators, and getting their butts handed to them before turning the tide and making the final push on Skynet HQ. The last movie could then end with showing Kyle travel back in time to save Sarah, along with any other Terminator(s) that are sent back. What people tend to forget with the original Terminator, is that by having Sarah/John live, we win the war. Yes, Judgement Day is coming, and that is a dark immediate future, but John will save humanity from Skynet, and the only reason he can is because he defeats Skynet before the movie begins. Sending the Terminator back in time was a last ditch effort by Skynet because it had to know the risks of doing so, and possibly knew it had to do so no matter what. Kyle getting sent back is because the human defeated Skynet and so they send him to ensure that John will be born, live and be there to defeat Skynet. I just have a bad feeling that this movie will completely frag the timeline and ruin it. Just like Highlander, there can be only one true Terminator movie.
  12. Actually Miles that is the other Buran, the one that actually flew. these are the other two, one of which was just a test shape, like the Pathfinder orbiter at Space Camp.
  13. Loving it, throwing in the Johnny Cash just cinched it for me.
  14. hmm, not bad, too bad they aren't painted for that, or the seller didn't have them printable with textures like some do
  15. Nice, how big and how much did they run?
  16. Knight26

    New here

Don't believe much in realistic proportions do you?
  17. I know a lot of people bagged on the Arrow ending, but I liked it, I was more meh about The Flash's ending. The ending for Arrow, while maybe not what people wanted, created an actual ending. It could actually have served as a series finale if they wanted it to. Olie is not a peace, and happy. Everyone else is set up on their own paths, that could lead to spin offs, sequels, etc... At the same time it leaves the door open to future seasons by not completely closing the door on things. The Flash on the other hand left us with a typical cliffhanger but this one will require a major Deus-Ex to clear up, probably will tie directly into the new spin off series.
  18. Very nice
  19. Looking for Beta Readers. Spiral War: In Death's Shadow The second volume in the continuing Spiral War saga. Still reeling from the attack on their academy that cost the Monstero Nach their squadron commander, they proceed into Special Operations training. There they come under the tutelage of the menacing Tadeh Qudas, a fearsome Telshin warrior. Their instruction will be fraught with danger and not all of them will make it through. Worse yet, the attention of a long dead cult of Energy Gatherers, the Electrolites, resurrects a ghost from Blazer's family's past that threatens them all. Forces all around the Blade Force tear at them as they proceed, endangering their lives, loves, and the Confederation itself. Only their training can save them, but will that training be enough? Ideally I would like two camps of Beta Readers for this. Those that have read Book 1, and those who have not. I will have some specific questions for the Beta team about how to deal with certain story elements. If interested please PM or e-mail me @ sprialwar@gmail.com with your preferred format: mobi, epub, pdf, rtf, etc... All Beta readers will receive complementary copies of the book, and book 1. I am also willing to exchange Beta Reading services.
  20. Nice, why not do it in Space Engineers though? Then you could actually fly it too.
  21. Chaning Tatum? Ugh... And Forever Peace is not a sequel, but it incorporates some similar themes. Forever Free is the only actual sequel.
