    Crichton was a cool guy and a class act. If asked in private, he would admit that JP2 was all about getting ER funded. ER was his baby and a huge pet project of his that he wanted to get off the ground. After JP1 was such a hit in theatres, despite the changes from the novel, the studio, smelling money, asked him to write another and had some heavy hands in the writing process as a result. He admitted that the book was more a novelization of the script and bore little resemblance to any sequel he would have planned.

    Nicely done, definitely a hybrid mk1-2 cockpit for the POV shots, sloppy.

    That is beyond awesome, now take a ton of nice pics of it in both modes and mid transformation.

    A reasonably priced, even non-transforming 1:18 VF-1 I would buy, but it up with my 1:18 F-16, F-18 and WW2 birds.

    DH is right, with the comet on an inbound trajectory Philae will get plenty of power in the coming months, best to wait it out, power it up and try and locate it in the mean time to see if it can be re positioned. If not, do what you can on the spot.

    Looks like Philae has gone silent, for now at least, there is hope that it might be able to recharge its powercells over the next couple months. At least it accomplished its primary missions before the batteries ran dry. I wonder if they will set Rosetta to try and find it now, if they know where it is better then they might be able to right it once power is restored.

    Don't give up on it yet, they will do everything they can to try and right the little guy, but in the meantime they will get as much science out if as they can just in case.

    Very cool, but why if you are going digital throughout do the pencil-ink method, where you trace over the earlier linework?

    Saw it with the kids this weekend, did not stay for the end credits, oh well. I enjoyed it, sure it had it's flaws, but it was a fun as heck movie with a positive view on science and technological advancement. I did call the ID of the villain pretty early on, and while I understood his motivation, his execution was lacking.

    The cinematic trailer was cool, the gameplay, eh... Is this just a PvP game with magic characters? Pass then. If it has an actually interesting single player storyline, then it is a maybe.

    Oh then you probably wouldn't get too excited about all the 777 and 787 stuff I'm working on either, speaking of which have a 2 hr meeting on 787 to run to...

    I started playing it, but is the motion blur required? I find it distracting. Or is the blur a problem with my system? Should I adjust hte settings?

    737-MAX is shaping up to be pretty interesting, can't say much more now *Dangles tidbits in front of David Hingeton* I do get to to go on the factory floor soon...

    My thoughts exactly, and I would have rather she been that character, especially based on the dialogue. This and the Flat Aliens episode definitely add fuel to the which I am not for, but not against either depending on the casting.

    The Missy reveal was a disappointment, I should have known they would go that way with the clues they left all season, but it completely negates that character's sacrifice from their last appearance. It does open certain other doors for next season though.

    Don't worry DH I am still in flight test, actually system certification, just for the FAA, so I will be working with Boeing and other aviation companies quite a bit.

    Well I won't be working for Boeing, with probably, my office, as I understand it is a couple blocks away, right across the street from the Wizards of the Coast office.

    Well I am leaving the california high desert and heading north to the Seattle Area, well working in Renton but living on the opposite side of the bay near Bremerton. So are there any MWers up there that can recommend good places to find anime and macross merch? Good sci-fi and comic shops are a plus too. And David H, you might be jealous of where I am going to work with your love of commerical aviation.

    Hmm, so it is set 8 years after frontier, I wonder if any characters will make an appearance and what fallout there will be from Frontier. Will we see Valks with Varja tech or even a Varja main character?
