  1. New thread! Keep it going. Watched the 6th movie for Break Blade. This show is too epic. I'm just abit annoyed that And the Riobot Delphine looks pretty impressive. http://www.gundammodelkits.com/riobot-delphine-third-form-review-by-gamu-toys.html
  2. So I recently made a thread for Arrow on CW, but I just gotta make another. I believe we're in the golden age of TV, we're finally at the point when we are getting truly quality performances and stories on both basic and premium cable, there's literally something for everybody. So how about Hannibal? This is yet another series that's been blowing my mind for two seasons now, easily the most graphic and disturbing show on television, I find every episode to be pretty excellent. There are some really incredible performances throughout, Mads Mikkelsen is pretty much my favorite Hannibal since Anthony Hopkins horrified people in Silence of the Lambs, as a long time fan and reader of the Red Dragon novels I've got even more to love. Another fantastic episode tonight, the situation Graham has found himself in is hard to watch but you know there's more there than we're seeing, Hugh Dancy also absolutely dominating his role as the tormented Will Graham. My DVR is full, I've got something recorded almost every night, but I always find myself looking forward to Friday night Hannibal.
  3. scopedog I'm thinking about buying one of these, Does anybody have one who could tell me about it? I don't really know much about Votoms, But I think the mecha are awesome. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I didn't know if I could post a Takara toy in they toy forums. I figured it'd be ok because I want to know about the series too. I saw the opening theme for the show on youtube, and thought it was great. Coments on the series? Anything you want to tell me? I searched for old threads most looked pretty short or old.

  5. I know this is already being stalked about in anoother thread but wanted to start its own. Did anybody here get one of these yet? I want to get one but not sure so I am waiting for peoples opinions.

  7. We need a Whovian thread for all Whovian stuff all the time! I'll start this off by posing a query in the final episode of the first season of Doctor Who there is this exchange between Rose and the Doctor. Rose: there was this singing Doctor: That's right I sang a song and the Dalek's ran away now on the surface this could just be a joke meaning that the Doctor can't sing... but I wonder if maybe it's a possible Macross reference. I mean Macross 7 or something ^^. But maybe not... to me it just made me think of Macross 7.... "listen to the Doctor's song!" But seriously now... I loved the new series and i'm kinda sad to see the 10th Doctor go... I don't like the new one so far but maybe he'll grow on me (but ooh his voice is so bad.) Everyone else like the first season?
  8. It's been a while since I started a topic and seeing as season three of my most favorite American cartoon is slated to begin in roughly 4 short weeks I thought it would be cool if Macross World had a Venture Brothers thread. I know there have to be more Venture fans on this site... I'll kick things off with some decent conversation starters: What is your favorite Venture character, episode and bits of dialog. My personal favorite Venture character is Hank Venture, mostly because he reminds me of me as a teen... dopey and willing to say just about anything that pops in his mind. People to this day wonder if I somehow channel crazy dead people. My second favorite Venture character would have to be a tie between Doctor Henry Killinger (and his Magic Murder Bag) and The Monarch. My favorite Venture episode is a three way tie between "Viva Los Muertos!", "Love Bhiets" and "Trial of the Monarch". My favorite quotes are: Venturestien: PROSTITOOOOOOOOOOOO! Monarch: OK Poncherello, why don't you climb your tom fiddlin' ass back on your big gay bike and get outa here?
  9. Wow after diggin up some 80's anime I found this cool opening theme. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AiIHL0pVMo Did anyone watched those TV series / OVA? (style makes me think of mospeada)
  10. Airwolf Belisarius Productions/Universal Pictures, 1984-1986, 2005 Created by Donald P. Bellisario (Magnum P.I., JAG) Running Time: 55 minutes per episode (110 minutes for the pilot episode) Rated TV-PG for violence and mature situations. CastJan-Michael Vincent as Stringfellow Hawke Ernest Borgnine (1917-2012) as Dominic Santini Alex Cord as Michael 'Archangel' Coldsmith Briggs III Lowdown A private organization known as "The Firm" has developed the ultimate military weapon. Codenamed "Airwolf," this sleek helicopter is capable of flying at speeds in excess of Mach 1 and is armed with the most sophisticated and lethal weaponry ever developed. However, things go wrong when Airwolf's creator destroys the Firm's headquarters and runs off with the helicopter. Three months later, ace pilot Stringfellow Hawke is recruited by the Firm's chief Archangel to travel to Libya and recover Airwolf. In exchange, Archangel will help Hawke locate his brother St. John, who has been missing in action for over 14 years. In addition, Hawke brings in his old friend Dominic Santini to aid him on his mission. They have less than 48 hours to bring Airwolf out of Libya, if they don't want an all-out war to occur. And so begins the legend of Airwolf - a tale of espionage and pulse-pounding action involving a customized Bell 222 helicopter. Jan-Michael Vincent delivers a no-nonsense role as the show's antihero Hawke. Shortly after Hawke takes Airwolf with him, he keeps it away from the Firm's grasp. In exchange for more clues to his brother's whereabouts, Hawke and Santini embark on more dangerous missions - many of them involving the Soviet forces. Sadly, like many top TV shows in the '80s, Airwolf met its demise within its third season. Vincent developed personal problems to the point where he was kicked out of the show. As a result, the cast was completely revamped and the show went completely downhill. But now, you can relive the glory of the show's first season in a two-disc DVD set. The 11 episodes in the set may look pretty grainy and the audio is still in mono, but hey - $29.99 (Best Buy price) for 10 hours ain't too bad. If you grew up watching Airwolf, then go get this DVD. And while you're at it, save up for the 1/48 diecast. Rating: B+ DVD Extras: F If Universal gave Miami Vice and Knight Rider the royal treatment, why not Airwolf? 11. I'm wondering does anyone else watch this? I've been an avid comic fan for years and years, the Emerald Archer has always had a soft spot in my heart, I was a bit worried when this was initially announced, it gave me vibes that it could end up being as god-awful The Cape, I just didn't think a mainstream DC character could translate well to weekly television. Obviously we're in season 2 now and literally all my fears drowned away early on in season 1, season 2 has been downright phenomenal. Last weeks episode was obviously titled "Suicide Squad", which if you're familiar with DC, may sound familiar to you, along with a BIG cameo/easter egg appearance from one Clown Prince of crime's girlfriend, another well established member of the Suicide Squad. I believe Arrow has been doing a consistent job at adapting some big DC characters to the silver screen, this second season has been revealing more and more characters that are hinting at a much larger connected world, lots of different story threads going that I am familiar with, and yet I can't wait to actually see play out on TV. Arrow has been doing so well they even got to introduce Barry Allen, aka The Flash recently, who is now getting his own pilot and series that is set to air back to back with Arrow, making a two hour block of weekly DC goodnes.
