    Maybe something in the Re Action line might work. I think there’s also the o-ring line as well. And if I remember right she may have been French rather than American, but it’s still the same issue

    I always thought Boba Fett was a stupid sounding name, but I guess it’s better than Grumble Shooter or Sarlac Munch. Starkiller seemed a bit silly as well and I’m glad they dumped it

    I kinda figured when an A-Team movie came out The Fall Guy would be soon to follow. I guess it took a little longer than I thought now we wait for Air Wolf the movie

    I remember when those were super easy to find and weren’t that expensive. I used to have the old ED-209

    That actually sounds pretty cool. The parts on the old kits like that are fairly hollow and might not take a lot to attach the arm and leg armor to something like one of those kotobukiya kits or even a 30 minute sister. The body would probably need some work though, but there are some with head options that may look more like the artwork

    No problem. I feel bad for the fact that they didn’t offer the decals after market to help those that bought the original release

    I hat the tamiya stuff personally. The superglue does work really well for parts that aren’t meant to move. In a static aircraft, it should be fine. When working on gundam kits it tends to crack if there a little stress in the wrong spot, like a the wrists while popping in a ball jointed hand. My favorite method is starting with cement and then doing the imperfections with polyester putty, but that stuff is getting hard to find these days. Epoxy putties are good as well, but sometimes need a little more. If it gets something like a stubborn hole or add line, the super glue does great to finish it up.

    Oddly, the decals are the most expensive part of the kit. But I kinda see where he’s coming from. If he can get the decals it would be cheaper than another kit altogether. But I also see your point in that a little more cash and there’s the whole kit with proper decals. The max factory ones unfortunately aren’t as inexpensive as the old hasegawa kits though. Personally I think a cool diorama of a Valkyrie being built before paint would be neat to see.

    That part isn’t what bothered me, it’s more of a how did this become a standard thing. Boba got swallowed by a sarlac and was down there for quite some time. Most of the people that were witnesses to Han being frozen or seeing him after he was frozen are dead or on that backwater planet that no one goes to. The only thing I can come up with is that Lando started marketing carbonite freezers to bounty hunters after seeing the process work once. Or is Din the only one that has one for that purpose. If so it just seems like too big a coincidence that boba had a singular instance of it being used and now a guy that dresses just like him has one on his ship.

    Toynami at one point had official Macross toys when they first started. They even did items for the Macross movie. That was back when they were doing upscaled Banpresto Valkyries. I think there was a bit of licensing issues and they eventually could only do the Robotech branding and only items from the original Macross. Now I will say official as in they were branded Macross, but I’m not so sure if they were official by a licensing standpoint. I do feel that the Robotech toys from Macross should stay separate from the real Macross stuff though. As far as knockoffs, it’s kinda fun to show some of the ones that are based on the original toys kinda like the knockoffs of the Takatoku’s, but I think a third party item wether it’s a quality item or a trash item should be in a separate section if it isn’t based of an official toy

    I’m a bit sad it’s ending, but it needs to. It’s the only anime that I really look forward to watching these days

    Can’t wait to get this kit. I’m super excited. hope they either do the tv version next or the Nousjadeul Ger from the movie. Although I’m pretty sure a Max repaint with new pilot figure is gonna be next.

    That actually was something that really bugged me when I started watching the Mandalorian. Not as much for the safety of the prisoners, but more of a thing where that wasn’t even a standard practice when Boba Fett was transporting Han. He didn’t even want to do it. He was basically forced into it by Vader. That oddly enough was one of the few times in the old trilogy that someone challenged Vader that wasn’t a hero and didn’t end up dead. But the real issue I have about it was that somehow this became a standard practice for prisoner transport. Before that it was exclusively an industrial process. Yet somehow Mando heard about it or something and started freezing almost everyone he caught as far as the Dog thing , that was more of a joke because you never really hear about bounty hunters in modern days

    Well I guess top dog could translate to real life. Nobody took Dog the bounty hunter seriously. He might be the only example I can come up with and I apologize for that, but there you go. A guy so bad ass that he was nothing but a joke. None of his bounties took him seriously and he caught quite a few, but even the actual public looks at the guy as a joke. Maybe that’s how people view the Mandalorians. As a bunch of goof balls with Wookiee scalps instead of mullets

    Back when I built that, I think it slipped in wrong according to the instructions, but it held anyway, so I just moved on. I didn’t have many friends that were into kit building. They either were into sorts teams or had a lot more cash than I did and were buying video games. I had a few friends into battletech minis though and that’s where most of our arguments came from. That was that they believed Robotech ripped off Battletech. It was before the age of the internet, so getting info to back up your side the argument was a losing battle to a small group that believed they were right even though they were wrong. I never did get an apology later though
