I think it’s funny that over the years Keanu’s catch phrase has gone from Whoooaaa to Yeaaahhh

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post
Big s replied to Shawn's topic in Model kits
That’s pretty cool. I’ve only seen the rerelease of this back in the late 90’s, but didn’t have cash on hand when I saw it. I’ve never actually seen one built before now. -
It seems like a long wait for just a few episodes, but I’m still excited for it

I think that was the point For me it was up til early 90’s. I personally couldn’t afford all the constant crossovers and pretty much all the talent left to form image. When I thought about getting back into it when I got my first job in the late 90’s the look was totally off putting to me and I never got back into reading them

WAVE 1/100 VF-1S/A Strike/Super Valkyrie (Battroid & Fighter)
Big s replied to no3Ljm's topic in Model kits
It was the 31a, I remember it being a cannon fodder looking one. If they had done the Battroid, I would have bought it -

Pedro is the go to guy for every franchise from DC to Marvel to Starwars and video game movies. Pretty soon he’ll be a candidate for President and everyone will break out their old vote for Pedro merch- 102 replies

WAVE 1/100 VF-1S/A Strike/Super Valkyrie (Battroid & Fighter)
Big s replied to no3Ljm's topic in Model kits
I only bought the VF-1 kits. There was one that wasn’t an og Macross kit, but I think it only got a fighter before the line was cancelled, but I don’t remember what it was. -
I definitely meant flesh

So, what’s under the mesh? just curious what kind of plastic and if it’s black or fleas colored. It might be easier to repaint and reattach armor directly to the plastic, but that would depend on the plastic

For those that build the wave 1/35 kits, they’re releasing a second set of decals for the more recent ones as well as a rerelease of the first set.

WAVE 1/100 VF-1S/A Strike/Super Valkyrie (Battroid & Fighter)
Big s replied to no3Ljm's topic in Model kits
It was a similar concept, but highly detailed prepainted little 1/144 kits. I miss em. well at least there are still the 1/100 wave kits and a few options in 1/72 -

I honestly can’t remember who came up with that idea first between tomytec or wave -
We tried it out and even though it’s not the worst of the marvel movies, it’s not really great either. Definitely better than Eternals but probably closer to the second Black Panther movie. It has some very cringy moments and some really odd things going on. Most of those things are already covered in the pitch netting and honest trailer, but the weirdest thing for me was Capt. Marvel. She acts awkwardly overly childish in this one and almost feels like she was totally recast, even though it’s the same actress. My lady didn’t seem to have an opinion on the movie. Usually she tells me right away if she liked it or not. This was odd because she just got up after the X-Men scene and went to bed. Usually she says good night oat least, but not this time. In the morning I asked her if she liked the movie and all she said was that she liked the cats and that was the end of the conversation.

Weirder than that is Solar Opposites. They didn’t even pretend to find someone that sounded like him. They just played it off as that was just circumstance

I’m a bit curious about those O-Ring ones myself. As far as the bigger super 7 figures, I really love the classic cobra trooper and think that’s another one to add in a collection

They just need to get away from the multiverse and get a good writing team. The multiverse thing works ok for more comedic stories, but is really annoying beyond that. It’s definitely a Deadpool thing, but I think a lot of people want that Wolverine action as well
