The wave destroids already have a style that’s very tv oriented. Plamax definitely goes very tv and hasegawa has been leaning more to that style as well. I think as long as it’s in scale, it would fit very well no matter which of those companies puts it out.

Talked my lady into watching Warfare since everyone seems to be bringing it up lately since it dropped on Max or HBO Max or whatever it’s called now. I personally liked it, but not quite as much as others and my lady although liking war movies didn’t really like it at all. I think the issue is that while the action is done really well, it’s bit light on story. Or maybe that it isn’t so much a story, but an experience. It probably could’ve helped to have a bit of exposition about what was going on and maybe could have been a bit easier to get a feel for things if they showed some of the film from the other groups involved. Overall, I personally liked it, but I feel like it will be more enjoyed from guys that dig action or military folk than the average person.

Looks like they got a lot of detail in that head crest

Looks like it’s coming along fairly well

I was a bit worried since it had that A24 tag and my lady seems to hate every time I suggest one of their movies ever since The Green Knight

As KOG said, it’s very unique. The only thing that might be similar are the missile hatches and even those don’t look exactly the same.the main reason that wave probably decided to do the main 3 in 1/72 and the prototypes for those 3 in 1/100 is that other than a few little bits on them, the lower halves are the same. I don’t think they ever even teased a spartan, although they did tease a 1/100 monster many many years ago. Maybe if the demand is high enough with the main three they might consider a 1/100 Spartan. I wouldn’t doubt that Plamax or even Hasegawa are thinking about it since they’re both running low on 1/72 og Macross mecha and wave had that fairly recent rerelease of the big three destroids and a 1/72 monster from those companies might be a little tough on the joints.

Who knows these days. Seems every company is missing their deadlines these days for various reasons. Hopefully it’s not as creepy as too many booty bits going missing. i had a preorder from hiya that was supposed to be out before last October and barely got a notification for it being in processing. It was supposed to be a Christmas present last year but I had to do an alternate item instead. I kinda forgot about it and I think it’s unfortunately getting the expensive dhl shipping since I ordered it from a spot that doesn’t hold items and now that’s probably the only option. Luckily the Rogue was ordered at hlj, so maybe things will smooth out when it eventually comes out

Maybe one day there will be a fourth and maybe we might even get lucky and see a fifth that has chicken legs, but super chonky

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

I know a lot of old battletech fans that would love to see this -
2 Toms are better than one

Seems they’re really hoping this will bring new fans, Bandai is adding the main character to their 30 minute missions line of kitshas removable armor and doesn’t look too bad so far, but I’d hope they eventually do the og samurai troopers/ronin warriors as well

Looks awesome despite the little decal flaws. Can’t wait to see how the KOG turns out.

All that work is definitely paying off

I’m still hoping for you to fully recover soon. Didn’t realize things went that deep

I agree, but unfortunately it’s not the overseas stores at fault over things. It’s something that’s unfortunately also creeping on a lot of stateside places of many retailers of different products due to either parts of products made overseas or the entire product made overseas. I do hope things change soon, because everything seems to be getting pricey these days

I guess that’s why I haven’t heard of them until recently. I’m old, but not that old yet.

It was a very small minority of people, but those people had a loud voice. It’s sorta like that M&M’s thing a while back that most people didn’t care about, only less people know about the existence of Cracker Barrel.

Tennis had been doing the majority of Macross art for boxes for a number of recent years. Not sure about the reasoning here, but he also did artwork for many other franchises as well. Maybe he just needed a bit of a rest after being the only major name in the game. I do love the Mercy Rabbit stuff lately and kinda nice to see other great artists pop up. I think there’s a certain bit of story in the Mercy Rabbit stuff that’s kinda exciting on the boxes. I kinda missed old school battle scenes and a lot of the newer box art has had little exciting things going on while still showing off the main attraction up front. Anyway, hope it’s not a bad reason that we don’t get as much Tenjin and just the well deserved resting thing going on

I like the red, it makes it go faster, even when it’s just on a stand.

The red gives a more painting looking highlight. Reminds me more of some of the box art kinda look

It’s definitely a tough time to try and acquire Japanese kits, especially for those of us in the U.S., but if you’re not here, then it will be significantly easier to find them. I would check the toy section, I think I’ve seen Luna park come up over there in discussions about Bandai’s dx line

That’s oddly been common even before the ev stuff started becoming common. A lot of the Gas engines have been silent for over a decade, even rather quiet in the muscle cars. I remember a long time ago when the Mustang’s were getting 💩as soon as people realized that the noise was a speaker thing rather than an engine thing. Some people even argue that the fake noise is a safety feature to warn pedestrians and cyclists. As far as Cracker Barrel, that’s a whole different issue. The company was desperate because they started losing money and decided to try a logo change up. Most people didn’t even know it was an iconic logo til the few diehard customers that like the place started crying over it. Honestly I didn’t even know there was one thirty minutes away til my lady informed me about its existence after the controversy was in the news. She hasn’t ever been there either. That’s one of the stupid issues I have with this changeover. The companies aren’t on the same page with the standardization and it’s stalling the industry. If they’d standardize things, it would make the vehicles much less expensive and easier to maintain over time. Most of the charging stations seem to be Tesla and if someone has a different type of car, then they have to hope for an adapter to work. And that issue sometimes goes the other way as well. We might get an ev one day, but they’ll have to sort these issues out and make them more affordable overall and I’m not sure if that will be in my lifetime

They need to do a Spartan to play bass with those big hands
