  1. That’s definitely one of the rereleases and I highly recommend getting one
  2. Just swing the arm forward and it shouldn’t be a problem with that extra joint there
  3. Gotta wait six months to preorder this one😞
  4. Yeah, it was. Now it’s not. They couldn’t decide and I guess they couldn’t figure out how to stretch the story enough to fit a series. Either that or they got really confident about releasing it as a movie
  5. I was thinking that it looks too thin. The fighter is always a bit thinner on the non cg Macross stuff, but hasegawa usually compromises on their battroids to make them appear more realistic. But then the battroids usually end up looking too skinny or very straight legged rather than the more rounded shape that they should be
  6. The details do look good, but I think the proportions are a bit off. It’ll probably look better in color though. so now that hasegawa is doing humanoid style mecha from Plus, maybe the next Zentraedi kit will be that power armor from the beginning.
  7. No new Macross stuff from wave for tonight, but at least they’re finally doing a Marshydog in 1/35
  8. I was hoping for those as well, but I expected they would go the easy route and do a recolor. The YF-19 battroid was a surprise, but I’m more interested in the Max Factory battroids and figure they’ll probably do one eventually. But I definitely had to get the Max Queadluun Rau to go with the previous release. Not sure if the next one will be the standard purple or if we move on to something else. I’m not sure if Max Factory would jump in for the tv version or if that will be a hasegawa thing.
  9. All the above plus a few rereleases are up for preorder at the usual spots
  10. That’s odd news with the YF-19. Max Factory has a VF-19 battroid coming soon as well. Hopefully Hasegawa has learned a few tricks on this kit. Although judging by the above picture, it doesn’t look like it will be as well articulated as the Max Factory kit The Max Queadluun Rau was expected, but a definite must buy kit for me. Still hoping for standing pilot figures of the happy couple.
  11. I’m not sure if it’s a big Macross thing since Max is known for doing a bit of everything. As far as wave the big ones like Ma K and Votoms and I’ve seen him work on Macross as well. I’m hoping for more Macross, but I don’t think this news is really gonna be a huge flood of Macross kits from Wave. I’m sure they have stuff they were already thinking of releasing.
  12. Other than pro builds I’ve never seen one finished. I was thinking maybe due to size, the average person skipped them due to space. I know I didn’t buy any for that reason, but I still admire the kit. I was kinda pushing things just getting the 1/72 Queadluun Rau kit, but I felt that it was worth keeping some gundams boxed up.
  13. I’d take my chances, if I got one for free.
  14. He’s one of the reasons I have a hard time trying to convince myself to rewatch the prequels. Rose might have annoyed people, but this guy was the true Phantom Menace.
  15. Nope. This is a fail. It’s also too expensive to buy just to burn it in the backyard
  16. I’ve never checked. I don’t use it because the decal film usually has a glue, possibly starch and it sticks to the model. I’ve never had a waterslide fall off , but have heard of it happening. That could possibly be due to leaving the decal in water for too long, but I’m not really sure on that.
  17. I use it , but if it’s a flat surface and there’s no offending bubbles or anything I sometimes skip it. If there are panels under the decals or rounded surfaces, then it’s pretty much required to get them to conform to the surface shape. I’ve never had to use the microset or any other decal setting solutions yet, but I have some handy just in case the need ever arises.
  18. I don’t know about the 1/20 kit happening or not, but I have a feeling things will just be a bit simplified between offerings of the companies. Something more like 1/35 Votoms handled by wave and the larger ones by Max factory or 1/72 MaxFactory battroids for the wave 1/72 fighter kits. I know the people that bought into the 1/20 Macross kits would love to see a battroid, but I’m curious about how well those sold. I have a feeling that if it happens, it will be in small numbers. But I guess we’ll see how things go over time.
  19. It senses impending doom, so sensadoomu works
  20. I usually do gloss then decal, then gloss and a quick light sand and if it still shows then just brush a little gloss around the offfending edge and usually the leveling will make the edges disappear. It really doesn’t take that much time, maybe an hour. I then put the kit off to the side and try to forget about it for a couple days. Then I do the weathering.
