  1. Big s

    Macross figures

Looks like they didn’t even do an original gun for their conversion of Fyana
  2. Try filling one on a print you don’t plan on using first to see if it works. Just make sure the hole is big enough to let the air out
  3. If there don’t end up too many and they aren’t too big, you could try a pin prick and filling with gloss coat.
  4. From Bandai’s standpoint here, it does seem like the majority of the internal mechanisms will work on the new kit. Mostly I’m thinking the outer armor and a few oddball grey parts. But pretty much all the non grey parts will be new runners. Just about every outer surface detail seems a bit different
  5. But would you buy it for $60? i think I will
  6. Hope they don’t try to say, later half of 2024
  7. Tamiya used to sell the hardening agent separately, don’t know if they still do. If you’re doing a joint that needs a part popped in, I recommend starting by using glue like extra thin cement first and then the putty after the glue has been sanded down and you find imperfections. Also if you want the putty a little softer, experiment with the mix of hardening agent. A little less hardener seem to make it slightly softer, but too little and it won’t really dry right.
  8. I thought this was a sequel starring the cast from the last one with more cameos from the old cast
  9. It’s not universally banned, but not something that is sold in the States. There may be a few places like China, but wherever you find it, it’s priced like gold and isn’t worth it. It almost like twenty or thirty bucks a tube and then you gotta cover shipping and then you don’t know the quality of it when it does arrive. I’ve given up on the stuff personally due to the difficulty finding it. one thing I tried with the water based putty that worked the one time I tried it to get it to sand was to get it to shape and then hand brush a bit of Mr color primer over it. I then sanded it after it dried for a few minutes and the lacquer seemed to bind it better
  10. It would be way more epic with the Airwolf theme and a lot less tame.
  11. I remember those, just not as well as others. But those were fun times
  12. Can’t go wrong with a good Blue Oyster Cult song
  13. How bout we get all the food and snacks and even if it’s bad, finish it as a challenge. And if it’s really really bad, then we talk crap about it while munching away. We can make it fun wether it’s good or bad and it’s a free watch
  14. It definitely looks kinda cheap. I guess they blew the budget on the shows. I just wish there was something in these trailers to be interested in. They just seem like a low rent avengers leftovers team fighting another average skybeam bad guy. So far the presales have been pretty low for this movie, so at least there won’t be crowds for anyone that’s going to check it out. As far as fury vs the Hulk, at least fury made out with an alien and ended up a hero, sort of the last time we saw him. I think the last time we saw the Hulk, he was being told that all his struggles were minor in comparison to being a basic drunk bimbo lawyer and then being told she’s now better than him in every way making him obsolete.
  15. Yeah, I remember when you put those pictures up a while back. I thought it was pretty great
  16. I loved the ones I had as a kid. They were the size of GI joes and had the same build to a fault. Basically anything that could go wrong with a GI Joe would go wrong with these. But they worked perfectly with them. I never could find the Macross pilots back then, but did get a couple of Mospeada figures. My favorite out of the line was the “Bioroid Terminator”. Still to this day I think that was a cool figure with a cool rifle. Not totally accurate to the show and not sure why he had such a goofy name.found this image of the guy. But that’s my favorite of the ones I owned. Very poseable and big beatle butt flap. Couldn’t sit in a vehicle though, but made for a darn cool foot soldier
  17. I saw the first episode of the new season and it really had an awkward been there done that kind of feeling. It was still good, but without trying to give away too much, it felt like a combo of the story from the last few episodes of that recent Superman cartoon and Loki. Hopefully the show can keep things rolling without too much of the multiverse mess that have turned me away from caring about Marvel and DC
  18. The gaplant would probably still have seam lines in a newer kit. There’s only a few spots they might fix, but at least the ones that are there are on flat pieces and pretty easy to fill I kinda thought a few years back that there would have been an RE kit. Nowadays don’t expect much more than another boring gundam in the mg line or a slight variation of a cool non gundam design in the webshop. I can’t even remember the last time there was an interesting standard mg kit.
  19. Your lucky. I’ve only seen knockoff clothing and crap electronic devices that no one even needs a knockoff of. At least the missing half of a lawnmower is kinda useful a recent Patlabor kit is like the kind of thing for the 80’s, early 90’s flea markets.
  20. I might get that titans color Gaplant. Looks like it’s got some new hands
  21. Yeah, I’ve always liked his work
  22. A few of those examples have engines in the legs. The variable monster and Gurajii both have them, but they aren’t main engines like in most Valkyrie models. I’m not as familiar with the other designs since they were kinda in the oddball category
