  1. That’s what I was wondering. He’s my favorite of the baddies, but usually gets ignored
  2. That’s interesting. I like the orange cat kits, but it might be fun to have the anime version as well. I’ll keep an eye on it. Hopefully it turns out cool
  3. I’m hoping they don’t go that route. There are significant surface details and shapes that don’t look right. There are parts that could be common use like the guns and hands maybe cockpit, but the lower legs and the lower arms are different.there are parts like the upper arms and legs that have little extra bits of detail that are there depending on the picture or screenshot. Personally I’d feel disgusted if they did a simple reuse of all of or most of the kit. I’d rather wait a while for them to get it right or hand the job off to Max Factory. I think most of us were very disappointed with their odd Macross tv arm version and had hoped they’d one day do proper TV version of the iconic ship in both modes.
  4. This year’s Ben fairly forgettable movie wise, I have no doubt this will be on a lot of number one lists
  5. Yeah, I don’t have any real info on it, but from the couple scenes and a couple of pictures I could find, that’s my theory on things.
  6. There's a bit of an inconsistency going on with the inside of the Queadluun Rau movie version cockpit. In one scene there the mess of muscle wiring and in the end scene when Max and Miria or Milia or whatever her name is , there’s no wiring, but a couple extra clips hanging down.as far as internals, I found this one for how the hands fit in.it seems like a complicated mess to set up and connect. I’m kinda thinking maybe that muscular wiring is in a retracted form until it’s activated. They show a couple of scenes where this stuff moves and I’m getting the idea that this biomechanical wire just connects itself to the pilot suit connection points. Like if in a parked state, you wouldn’t really see the wiring, but then when activated it comes alive and does the connections and allows the pilot to control it from there. When the purple grunt gets shot down and crashes into the enemy ship the bio mechanical system dies and that’s why it was still dangling loosely as the pilot fell out and then her light went out on her chest showing that she passed since the suit could tell she had died
  7. The inside is definitely something that needs a bit of work. It’s a bit like Dunbine with a somewhat muscle kind of structure here and there. I get the feeling that hasegawa knew mechanically how to make the outside and kinda didn’t know how to make that all work and still be able to open and close. I’ve found very get pictures that really show where all that stuff goes.
  8. The Bandai non Macross stuff has the same issues. It seems oddly to go by price of an item rather than weight or size. A low price item like a kit will only be a few bucks more, but a similar box size figure will cost quite a bit more. A $50 toy might jump to $75 even though the space takes up half a $20 kit that might only jump to $25
  9. Just rewatched Fury Road and in the beginning of the movie Max does mention that he was a cop. 45 years plus another ten or twenty between would’ve made max a baby pulling people over in a stroller. There were things like Furiosa having a clan set up for when she was younger. The only thing that sorta might make sense is if this collapse was a tougher thing in certain areas and Max maybe was a cop in an area that hadn’t totally fallen for at least twenty something years after whatever collapse occurred
  10. I guess that’s a thing I’m curious about. All the pictures and screen shots look really close to the kit for the movie version, the surface details seem to have less going on than the tv version and I also know that the moscato version has added detail that wasn’t on the original, like the rivets.
  11. I like your interpretation of the tv version, I’m curious on what you would change other than height on the movie version. To me the Hasegawa looks really great compared to its line art pictures and animation. I’m not the worlds best expert and don’t have every bit of technical info, so I would love to know what things about this aren’t up to your standards.
  12. It was a silly time, but I miss those comics now.
  13. Better late than never
  14. Lookin real good
  15. She’s definitely not a sympathetic character, but she also doesn’t represent all of Zeon. And just to be clear the feds were nuking entire colonies as well before the colony drop. One side would do an atrocity followed by the other side. Ramba Ral is a different side of the same military. His men treated people with respect, while even in the white base, they were torturing captives. Oddly it feels like Amuro was treated better by the zeons than the federal forces.
  16. The feet look nice, now we need to see the rest
  17. The zeon did over retaliate, but due to the speed of events it was extreme violence met by more extreme violence in a back and forth of chemical, nuclear and eventually the colony drops that brought up the treaty that would stop that temporarily, but to the basic Zeon soldier believing things were done to them to create the situation is where their story is. To be honest after watching Unicorn, I’m almost thinking everyone was just played against eachother and things could’ve started either way, but I hate the unicorn era of Gundam for trying to set that oddity up. All that aside, it’s really just back to whether a group of Zeon soldiers will make for good main characters and I think they’ve already proven that in shows and games. They seem like your basic grunts in the middle of combat facing the horror of a machine that can probably take more damage than they can individually dish out. It looked like mostly upgraded Zaku 2’s. As long as they have a better than Disney writing team, they should be able to pull it off with ease
  18. Definitely looks better than the Yamato. I like the Moscato interpretation a lot and there definitely a bit of height difference, but there’s a certain elegance to the movie version Hasegawa has put out that I like. It definitely shows in the movie that she was a bit hands on and it might have some scrapes on the hand, lower arm and feet from face stompin
  19. It’s ok to disagree, that’s where the fun is. Just remember the feds may have been seen to have started things by their sanctions. The majority of Zeon also believed the feds had assinated their figurehead. And eventually the fanatics from the federation became the Titans.
  20. The feds really weren’t much better, it’s one of the big things throughout most gundam stories. There really weren’t good and bad sides, just heroes of each side stuck fighting wars that their leaders started and war crimes were done to each side.
  21. I just got my Hasegawa at the door. It really is a surprisingly huge box. It’s a pretty good amount of plastic for a fairly cheap price.I wish I had the Moscato tv version, but it’s tough for me to come up with the cash.
  22. I’ve seen more than a few complaints about them and warnings from those that did the when these first appeared. It sounds like a great concept to have decals that don’t have an edge, but from my understanding things can easily go wrong and some have said it’s just easier using standard decals and then doing the usual to make the edges disappear
