It’s definitely small from what I remember. The Queadluun Rau kit actually stood a bit taller and much bulkier, but the pilots were about the same height. After seeing how great the Hasegawa kit looks, this prototype seems really lazy. It looks much closer to the funky Yamato version. If this were how the finished product looked I’d probably just skip it altogether

I have that kit built and boxed away. It’s very small and probably only stands a little higher than the waist on an hmr from what I remember it would be way too easy for an hmr vf-1 to just punt the Zentraedi pilot that came with it rather than be able to share clothes.

They still nuked several colonies. Even though Zeon was trying to hijac another colony, the feds didn’t exactly fire indiscriminately. The entire area was turned into a shoal zone. The eventual treaty was supposed to leave out colonies that weren’t aligned, but then on several occasions they got them involved in weapons development- 3806 replies

Looks like he’s sneaking away after doing a pantie raid on the boys locker room

I want the Robocop, so I can practice on metallics. There’s this subtle hints of color like blues and purples giving the movi version that heated titanium look, but in a softer way. I’d like to see if I can do it in small scale without overdoing it’s a challenge to myself.

Everything is still in the early stages, I just didn’t end up liking the outfit colors after that. Might change to green pants and or purple shirt. The eyes are pretty easy to do as well since the panel liner helps outline the area. Things look far rougher in the pictures due to magnification. She’s a 1/35 figure and will look a bit smoother as I go.

I love Shadow Project. One of my favorites

For those that can’t get enough Xabungle model kits, just saw this at the pbandai US store. HG 1/144Sure seems like a lot of these lately

Was doing a little paint testing on the figure that came with one of my Obsolete kits Started with just grey primer and then did a light brush with white and a dark brown panel liner. Then tried out some army painter speed paints over that. It’s a bit rough at the moment, I’ll blend the colors better after I figure out some better choices and do the eyes as well. I totally f..ked up with my choices of colorI accidentally made her into Lion O

You never know where things will go for the future. Hope their D&D stuff is from the cartoon. I didn’t end up buying the hasbro ones because of the packaging.

I really like the look of this one. She can fight those epic skeletons too since she goes with the epic hacks line and probably share weapons and armor as well -

Maybe, but then again from what I understand Mcfarlane may have cut a deal with Hasbro. So it’s possible, but under Mcfarlane instead but with the backing of Hasbro

You’re lucky that it was available to you. It was very rare to see anything from 2000AD until almost the late 80’s. Oddly I think it gained a lot of popularity when Anthrax did the song I Am The Law. A lot of metal heads were requesting it in the comic shops around then

Have you thought about getting him a real guitar. There’s actually a few really good learning tools to help out with the teaching that are available these days. They teach everything from tuning to the basics and beyond. I wish these kinds of things were available when I was growing up. You never know, you could end up raising the next Eddie Van Halen

How about other stuff from Macross. I’d be interested to see them do a Queadluun Rau tv type. It probably wouldn’t be as cool as the hasegawa movie version kit or the tv version that Moscato did, but as far as toys, it couldn’t be as bad as the Yamato. That thing had such strange proportions everywhere.

I read some of his stuff with Judge Dredd and loved the crazy look. Of course it was a few years after those stories originally came out, but it still had a very different feel and look than the American comics I was reading at the time. It had more of a Heavy Metal feel and look and in the late 80’s the American stuff was starting to get a bit darker, but not quite to that level

That’s what I was wondering. He’s my favorite of the baddies, but usually gets ignored

That’s interesting. I like the orange cat kits, but it might be fun to have the anime version as well. I’ll keep an eye on it. Hopefully it turns out cool

I’m hoping they don’t go that route. There are significant surface details and shapes that don’t look right. There are parts that could be common use like the guns and hands maybe cockpit, but the lower legs and the lower arms are different.there are parts like the upper arms and legs that have little extra bits of detail that are there depending on the picture or screenshot. Personally I’d feel disgusted if they did a simple reuse of all of or most of the kit. I’d rather wait a while for them to get it right or hand the job off to Max Factory. I think most of us were very disappointed with their odd Macross tv arm version and had hoped they’d one day do proper TV version of the iconic ship in both modes.
