Macross isn’t as popular as gundam. But the toys and kits are a quite a bit more collectible from Macross. It’s probably due to the high quality of early Macross entries. Some of those old kits and toys from Macross still hold up and the fact that there aren’t many rare gundam designs that don’t get a better version or rerelease every couple years make gundam less collectible even with the bigger popularity. Even when Macross stuff gets rereleased people buy them because the quality for a lot of those items was better than most of the classic gundam stuff. Star Wars has had quite a few improvements in toys and kits over the years, but somehow the nostalgia for the old items that were common as a kid and the destructive parents Americans had adds to the rarity of those older items. That and the brand is far bigger than either Macross or Gundam.

I think the only thing making this rare is that they changed the card backing right after it came out to green

I can se the interest since they are upgrading the pilot figures quite a bit and there are some of those toys that aren’t as easy to find.

All my old stuff went missing, most were thrown out by my mom. My rarest items are the mid to late 90’s action figures

Hmr is basically the renewal. Although they have added some new thing here and there like the smaller wings and later the upper shoulder cover. And in some pics it looks like side covers if they ever get around to the tv 1s

I haven’t seen the show either. I bought a bunch of the kits including the truck and everything design wise is great. Unfortunately I haven’t heard anything good about the show

I’m pretty sure those are just painted black

Personally I’m not a fan of transforming kits. They usually end up being hand grenades or they make too many compromises. But I do agree about hasegawa being a bit behind the times. They are more of an aircraft model company though. They do need a better vf 1 battroid. It looks good and all, but kinda floppy and falls apart around the hips. They seem to be getting better with mecha though with each new release, but that armored one I think would look better if they did the lower legs different. Personally I don’t mind that the armor isn’t removable since the kit is pretty cheap. I think they were going the realistic route and kept the small feet and hands from their earlier battroid rather than the magically bigger hands and feet from the anime.

Since the title is your rarest Star Wars item, someone might only have the most common item ever but that might be the rarest item they have

Is that one of the rifles from kyoukai senki?

I’m actually surprised by them . I don’t remember them being a super great toy company other than maybe He Man back in the old days. The amber collection dinosaurs look really great, but for me after this raptor with all the crazy joints and cheap price, I’m really loving the Hammond collection. I’m also eyeballing the T. rex from the Hammond collection and it looks great for $50. It looks more like a premium figure that others would charge quite a bit more. Too bad he’s sold out at the moment, but the comic con version looks really fun with the dude on the crapper . I’m betting that’s gonna be a tough one to get cheap. Mattel really upped their game with these highly articulated dinosaurs

Tried to make him look more menacing by having a vitruvian hacks skeleton riding him. I think I failed because they look like they’re having a great time together

Yeah, I really think that this particular line is what I dreamed about as a kid. I kinda want the gallimimus after seeing some pictures and it doesn’t look too expensive either. Things have come a long way since I was little and all the dinosaur toys were rubber static pose items.

I loved the anime back in the 90’s. I have a bad feeling about the live action
-
Yeah, it’s almost more adorable than terrifying. I hear the Amber collection ones are closer to movie accurate, but I don’t have $35 to spend on a dinosaur toy. The stands on the amber ones hilariously appear as though the dinosaurs are constantly peeing, so I guess that’s a fun bonus. As far as this little Hammond collection version, it was a total impulse buy and I’m not disappointed, the imperfections actually make me smile. There aren’t too many fun toys for around ten bucks these days, I felt alright skipping lunch that day

Could try silicone baking sheets. The paints I’ve used don’t seem to stick to that stuff

Love this show. It’s so simple, yet artistically complex -
I always get kids logic and kitz concept confused since they’re similarly named and both do Robotech

Looks like it debuts at Comic-Con this weekend in English. I don’t know if that means it will be available to see anywhere else like YouTube- 3496 replies
