  2. Hello everyone, My name is burntends and I currently am in the middle of creating a translation patch of Macross DYRL for the Playstation 1. With a cast of over 20 voice actors, this will be a full on English dub of the game making the core of the story fully understandable for non-japanese speakers. This even includes original english covers of the songs featured in the game (with an optional version that retains the japanese performances). Funny enough, we have so many of the songs written down that we also plan on dubbing The entirety of Flashback 2012. Linked below are a few of the in-game cutscenes I'd like to share with everyone. That said, there's still a few things I'd love help on. My team does not currently have the technical skill to alter the in-game text or subtitles (which was why I opted to do an English Dub.) While the game will be fully playable, some menus will remain untranslated. If anyone here is interested in helping out on the programming side of things, please feel free to reach out to me here or on my twitter @burntends2. I would love to garnish this proverbial meal with some extra decoration. Additionally, this game originally released on the SEGA Saturn. If anyone is interested in working on porting my work over to that, again feel free to reach out. This is my first post here so please let me know if there's anything I need to do differently to post here. cue 25.mp4 cue 12.mp4

  4. Just wanted to share my custom designed VR google and controller wraps. The images I used came from danbickell here in the MacrossWorld forums, he allowed me to use them from his 3D modeling DYRL VF-1 WIP project thread for the head and cockpit portion on the controllers. I did the custom graphic work for the controllers by adding a scene from DYRL to the monitor, space background and the mirrored images of Roy Focker (RIP) and split the design in half so that one hand is throttle and the other is the flight stick (where is my Macross VR game?!?). I provided my images to and worked with a great guy on Etsy named Lou who owns and runs Loucidco. He has, hands down, the best template for the quest 2 (if you want full coverage). Did some back and forth with him, and he was the one who really made it all work. Thanks for looking!
  5. Hey fellas.. Been a looong time posting.. actually i think i posted 2 years ago before i left for japan. Anywho. I NEED HELP from some of you who are knowledgeable about DYRL production staff. So my question is.. considering Shoji Kawamori was one of the two directors, did he sketch up the stoyboards and layouts for the movie? I've been obsessing over this for the last week and i cant find info anywhere.. Ive shared my production art collection several years ago on this forum but recently ive been haunted by this question.. I have three layouts from the production and trying to figure out if he sketched these up. *if you pay close attention to the handwriting on there, you can tell it's his writing *if you cross reference his notes and writing elsewhere... Also, the sketch appears to be his style too. Please help argh! Driving me crazy!
  6. For all of you that though that I'm retired from modelling, let me prove that you were wrong! Since my baby daugther born in July, I don't have any time for nothing, but I try to take advantage of any free moment that I have, even if they are just few minutes. So don't expect too much from me this year neither. So, here is my lastest work, one of my first GK purchased here in MW, 8 years ago. This is the original Launch Arm developed by Gundamhead & Jesse. VF-1 obviously is a Hasegawa, the box was made with 2 H-Hanger by Wave, and the Frame and other details were scratchbuilt, based in the following lineart: Model was painted with Mr. Color paints, Valk is detachable due some magnets in the Arm, and in fact, I prefer to display just the Valk in home, and keep the Launch Arm just for exhibitions, just to avoid bending in the arm, due the weight of the Valk. Special thanks to WM Cheng and Jefuemon for inspiring my work in this model with their own Launch Arm versions. Hope do you like it!!
  7. Was working on cleaning up some schematics from the instructions of various Hasegawa SDF-1 kits for a project I'm working on, aaaaaand came to realize I don't super care for the proportions Hasegawa have used. The Yamato/Arcadia SDF-1, on the other hand, is about as close to perfection as you can get with its proportions, so I was wondering if anyone who owned one wouldn't mind taking some measurements for me. I don't need measurements for every little detail, just some of the general shapes so I can rework the orthographics from the Hasegawa instruction books into something that looks a lot nicer.
  8. Tired of waiting for an official release I decided to use my extra cm´s gashapones to create custom figures of my favorite Macross heroes lets start with Roy
  9. Scratch build of my very own Breetai Figure for displaying with my Hi-metals, the base is a Broken patlabor figure from revoltech and a Knock off figma figure, sculpt and painting by hand
  10. From the album: Oden Macross Cels

  11. Long time coming on these 2 models and trying to figure out decals for the Elintseeker on that scale. Still needs detailing. One is a conversion and the other a 3D print. Pictures are not in best light Now I am looking for a 1/144 GBP armored Valkyrie
  12. My take on the DYRL zentran mecha scheme on 1/144 scale .. Like, really old models. Arii and Bandai brittle plastic and decals to pull my hair at every turn
  13. Hey all! I'm working on a 1:1 scale Macross (DYRL version) in Minecraft on the PS4 version. I'm having to cheat a bit, as at 256 blocks building height, I can't squeeze the whole thing in. I admit, I should've started with a flat world, but I didn't want to have to create the scenery around it. So, like an idiot, I began with a standard seed, an I find myself spending hours just blowing crap up just to make room to build... I'm wondering if any fellow PS4 owners would be willing to assist in the excavation, and perhaps even with the construction? Serious replies only please? I'd hate to have some troll stroll in, and start destroying everything I've already built... I look forward to hearing your responses! Thanks!
  14. Hi guys, I've been a member for a long time, more prone to check out the amazing stuff done here than to openly start conversations, but my mind started thinking: now that we have the Flight-of-passage attraction over at Animal Kingdom, being a flight-sim of that animal, I started to wonder: Has anyone tried to make a scale 1:1, life-size replica of the VF-1 cockpit? I know of the one they made in Japan for the Macross Museum (video): Macross Museum life-size VF-1 Cockpit, but apart from that any fan initiative? it would be great to have one with all the light-up gizmos and gadgets. what do you guys think? Cheers!
  15. Something of a "what if?", with my Strike Valkyrie (SVF-33) being launched during the final battle of Space War One...
  16. Two years ago, in 2015, a video of a LEGO SDF-1 on Youtube, inspired me to build my own version from scratch. The build started in LDD (LEGO Digital Designer) which took roughly one year. In 2016 I started to acquire all the needed parts for the build. The build was completed in February 2017. Build time: 2 years Bricks: approx. 11.000 Length: 43.3 inches or 1.1 meters weight: approx 33lbs or 1kg Does it transform ?: No And here are pictures of the completed SDF-1.
  17. Hi all, my original thread of the 1/2000 SDF-1 was originally posted in the "toy" forum, but since all the 1/3000 SDF-1 mod are posted here, I may as well do so. Also, I am hoping that this thread will be pinned, so that my SDF-1 customization can have a home. For the original thread on the built up, modification, and reference on the "1/2000 SDF-1 Customized", here is the link: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=33243&st=0 For the 1/3000 SDF-1, I must admit, I haven't spend nearly as much time on it as the 1/2000 SDF-1. The 1/3000 SDF-1 was only lightly lined and weathered, but you will see, this toy has lots of potential! Hopefully the comparison will be another useful reference. For those who have seen the old thread, these are all new pictures (taken with my new camera), and it seems to pick up the details better. I have divided up the sections as such: 1.) 1/3000 SDF-1 - Crusier mode 2.) 1/2000 SDF-1 - Crusier mode 3.) 1/3000 vs 1/2000 SDF-1 - Crusier mode Comparison 4.) 1/3000 SDF-1 - Attacker mode 5.) 1/2000 SDF-1 - Attacker mode 6.) 1/3000 vs 1/2000 SDF-1 - Attacker mode Comparison Here are the sections, enjoy! 1.) 1/3000 SDF-1 - Crusier mode
