  1. Where'd you get this? Got any better views of Dropkick and Blitzwing's alt modes?
  2. Was working on cleaning up some schematics from the instructions of various Hasegawa SDF-1 kits for a project I'm working on, aaaaaand came to realize I don't super care for the proportions Hasegawa have used. The Yamato/Arcadia SDF-1, on the other hand, is about as close to perfection as you can get with its proportions, so I was wondering if anyone who owned one wouldn't mind taking some measurements for me. I don't need measurements for every little detail, just some of the general shapes so I can rework the orthographics from the Hasegawa instruction books into something that looks a lot nicer.
  3. Got mine in the mail a few days ago, looks like it's gonna be a great build! Gonna be doing mine up in her Plus appearance with the gray FAST Pack (painting the shoulder missiles and boosters gray as well) so I was real pleasantly surprised to find the Plus-era pilots on the sprues. I'd already consigned myself to just painting the SMS pilot in Isamu's old colors!
  4. Just knocked out 11 of the 19 paints I needed for my VF-19EF/A, thanks for letting us know about the sale! Sorry to see Hobbywave go though. ):
  5. Disappointed that Freyja and Mirage didn't get together and ditch Hayate. =P ...and with everything else really, hope the movies (if they happen) can make something better out of all this.
  6. This is some unbelievably sexy work
  7. So, long time no see huh? Life kinda kicked my ass! Anyway, I'm not really happy with what I've shown for this anymore, and it's been such a long time I might as well just make a new thread instead of dredging up the old one. The working title as of now is Macross: Inferno. The working title before that was Macross: Omega, but then Macross: Delta's title was revealed and I decided against using Omega anymore. (Geeze, has it really been that long?) The story picks up in 2051, and follows a young pilot by the name of Markus who flies for the Spacy's air demonstration team Angel Birds, who have been assigned to travel with the newly launched SDF/C-01 Macross Global. There he meets an old buddy from flight school and becomes fast friends with one of the Global's bridge officers, setting into motion the love triangle which is, of course, essential to any Macross story. En route back to Earth from a show on Eden, the Global receives a mysterious distress call and changes course to investigate. What they find might threaten the entire galaxy... A bit vague but it's about all I can say for now. The Elysion from Delta pretty much rekindled my entire interest in this story, as it fit what I envisioned for Inferno's Macross perfectly. I was originally using a ship of my own design, but I pretty much instantly fell in love with the Elysion, and seeing what she looked like in Cruiser mode sealed the deal. So far I'm toying with two possible color schemes, one based on the Battle 7 since the Elysion just uses slightly modified New Macross-Class legs, and the other based on the TV SDF-1 as the Global is the first of her class. I think the SDF-1 scheme makes more sense, but the Battle 7 scheme is just dang pretty. Let me know what you think. (Forgive the crappy art, just traced these as there aren't any super good references for the Elysion yet, (and Mr. Kawamori doesn't seem to put out finished mechanical drawings anymore in favor of 3D model shots, please correct me if I'm wrong though! I'd love to be wrong, those bits of his art of the Siegfried from the 2nd ED of Delta are so tantalizing...) and I just wanted to quickly get the color schemes down to see how they looked on the SDF/C) I'll try and post some character (and hopefully Valkyrie) art tomorrow, stay tuned! It's good to be back! (Also is there any way to change Display Names because I don't totally care for DeductiblyBonkers as my internet alias anymore.)
  8. I thought the Hasegawa DYRL SDF-1 transformed? have I been misled? D:
  9. I've always loved the destroids, this is shaping up QUITE well man, can't wait to see the finished product =D
  10. VF-3000 or at least a VF-4, please...
  11. Incredible work! Nice valk too! =D Can't say I was aware this thing even existed^^
  12. Markus and Daisuke start the story flying VF-4s, so here's a quick idea of what those look like. Almost tempted to have them keep flying these over the 19 ^^;
  13. Hey, looks great! Been looking for these for awhile. Any chance you'll fix the spelling errors present in the originals too? =P
  14. I'd keep going tbh. I'm not really impressed with the new VF-2SS yet, sure I'm glad we're getting an official 1/60 VF-2SS at all, but from what you've shown I think I like the proportions on your model better. Seems a bit less flimsy too.
