  1. I had the neca version. The arm snapped off at the shoulder after trying to pose it for the first time. I had a hard time trusting neca after that
  2. That brings back memories of waking up early with a bowl of sugary cereal
  3. It might be fun if they throw in a mode where you play a thug trying to get away from Robocop. It would almost be like a horror game since he’s practically unstoppable
  4. I completely agree. Although I think I’d be far more excited if they looked like the old Nintendo version
  5. Careful, always have spare pieces to test with that stuff. Sometimes it works like magic other times it eats paint , other times it makes abs brittle and sometimes it just melts what it touches. Most of the time it’s ok though
  6. I actually was wondering. I have the three destroids that wave produced and had been trying to figure out if they were all the same in an area, like if they all had the same uniform on the Macross versus the ones on ground, or if they just varied no matter where they were stationed
  7. Plamax is also doing a 1/12 scale tiger 1. I gues the girls are getting multiple rides by multiple companies
  8. There’s really a lot of differences going on with these. The tv one would be easiest, but would barely be using the base kit if it could use any due to certain surface details that would need to be added and the tv version is a bit thicker as well. The Frontier version is the other way around and much thinner longer in the limbs and also has very different surface details. I would however be happy if it gets made into a kit either in 1/72 scale by hasegawa or 1/100 scale by Bandai. I have a couple of the action figures at home ad had fun with those even though they got a bit loose in the upper legs
  9. It looks like it got run over with those tread marks
  10. You won’t be dying on that hill alone
  11. I didn’t really find them to be much different than the majority of other model companies. Bandai seems to be the only one doing little pin point connections and have spoiled a lot of builders recently. I’m pretty sure he’s referring to how the sprue connects to the individual parts. As I said above they thick compared to Bandai, but pretty much where the rest of the companies are with them
  12. That makes it easy. The markers are easily erasable in case you mess up. You may want to consider a top coat of some kind just so it doesn’t rub off too easily
  13. As far as bgm I prefer the old stuff the best followed by plus. As far as the actual songs I gotta go with 7 stuff. Jet fighters need a more rockin soundtrack. That’s what helped make Top Gun memorable. But I doubt that a new series will have anything but a more pop sound to it
  14. Yes. You may even be able to use the sticker sheet where you removed the actual sticker as a template if it was cut to the exact shape
  15. Homeless Ryu on the way
  16. That was entertaining to watch, even though it was a long video. I found it fascinating to see him bring the artwork to life
  17. If you’re doing things as late as Macross 7, it might be cool to do one in a diorama depicting an older one found that had been left out to rust, but being rebuilt and in the process of going from old worn or even damaged parts to having almost brand new parts in strategic places
  18. Not only that, but as much as I like the hmr, the battroid mode for the kit would probably look even better and you could buy three kits to display all modes for a similar price and then there’s No partsforming
  19. It probably won’t take up much memory, may as well download it
  20. I used to use metal files, and they seemed to take a while and left marks like scratches, but these glass files that have popped up recently don’t leave marks and seem much quicker. I personally didn’t see the worth when others were talking about them, but I after trying them they lived up to the hype.
  21. I liked these earlier songs so much better than their low energy albums that came a few years later
  22. I personally like seeing simple builds out of box just as much as ones with a lot of extra work. Thanks for sharing. If you want to take it up a little notch and have little to no visible nub marks the I really suggest a cheap glass file. They can be found pretty easy at most places like drug stores these days in the beauty section. Also a little set of nippers or even a nail clipper help for trimming out the parts. Just start a little further back from the part and after it’s cut out trim the nub a little closer. Then just file away the rest. It’s not a hard thing to learn ad only takes a little more time, but it really makes it appear like you did more than the actual work you put in. Kinda like a little trick on the eyes. And Bandai definitely has much thinner connections on the sprue, but they’re probably the only company that does them that thin especially on the newer Bandai kits. Bandai definitely spoils its builders these days. But Bandai doesn’t do every subject I want to build, so I gotta buy stuff from other companies and try and keep up those older skills
  23. Yeah, I’d be totally on board with just getting them locally all the time if the prices weren’t so much higher. It’s not as bad for the kits, but their other products with similar weight seem to go up more depending on the base price rather than weight or size of the packaging
  24. Sorry, was on the last page when I was adding a response to cap. I totally agree though
