I just purchase the DX Chogokin Macross Frontier VB-6 Koenig Monster SP version from anime-export.

Do any of you have experience in what the typical shipping costs are to the US?

Your options are mostly limited until Japan Post kicks fully back into gear, so expect to pay something like $50-60 for DHL or FedEx, if not more.

Threezero Berserker armor Guts just arrived. Very cool but I would have been happier if they didn’t forget a piece;

Contacted Threezero CS and thankfully they’re fixing me up.:help:

I used to collect threeA their sister company before they closed shop and became their own thing.  I think they're called Underverse now.  Got sick of the bad QC issues and ridiculous wait times for them to produce the items they made you pay ahead for.  Not sure how Threezero operates.  Sounds like they're better.

@Angesdad that Threezero Guts figure looks amazing, the lighting in your display give and even more menacing appearance.  :good:

Congrats! :good:

However don't you dare opening it. Keep it pristine. Or else you're just going to find 1.5kg of shrink-wrapped umbrellas.

Just kidding. Hahaha!

Thanks guys.  I'm thinking of getting a strike pack for it.   I'm assuming it has the necessary connection points like the other 1/60 VF-1's.

Congrats on getting one, it's an awesome looking Valk and one probably never to be re-issued!

On a side note for you VF-1A Cavalier owners, the light grey on the lower legs... would you say that is a Light Bluish-grey or more a light Cool-grey color similar to the 1/48 Low Vis Navy? Hard to tell as I do not own one... yet.

I actually thought of painting them black with some small red accents to match the Valk

Thanks @Special Sauce, much appreciate that. I have an old Yamato 1/48 that is getting the Cavaliers treatment and I wanted to get that color correct. B))

Here is the color pallet that I used on mine, originally from Tekering

Stick to Japanese modeling materials.  Having grown up in Canada with Testers, Humbrol and the like, I can tell you that Mr. Color and Tamiya brand paints are much higher quality (and considerably easier to use) than what's readily available in your neck of the woods...

Unless you know your way around an airbrush, spray cans and masking tape is the way to go.  :good:

This is what I managed to achieve this week, without the aid of an airbrush:

Thank you @Special Sauce for those pics, I'm going to keep those for reference with my build! B))

Thank you @levzloi for that shopping list of paints. I found them online last night and ordered away! :D

To everyone else on your newest purchases, congrats to you as well!

This dude just landed!

Always wanted an Beast Wars Megatron. Almost bite the bullet with the MP but seeing a lot of complaints about quality issues in relation with the price changed my mind

I'm quite happy with this one
