  1. Past hour
  2. ah, finally watched it. Well you could have labeled this almost like any other title of a sci fi movie and it would still be fairly generic. it was the least TRON looking film of the 3, it was bland, I didn't think the music was any good really at all, the acting was subpar and generic, I felt absolutely no attachment to any of this like I did with the original film or Legacy, hell even Uprising. It's like Ronning the director, didn't give a crap about what made TRON such a fun movie and just went with whatever would bring in a box office paycheck for Disney and failed. I honestly would not care if I ever watched this movie again. Leto was a bore, Gillian Anderson who I think is usually an awesome actress provided nothing, Greta Lee felt washed out like for someone who's supposed to be this tech genius really didn't do much except run away, and her team had more importance than anyone else but the least amount of screen time. Maybe I'm just being a little rough, but I expected way more for a 15 year wait on a 40 year old story. Yeah, Disney should just stop and don't bother with it anymore....if you're gonna do something, do an adventure game series, or an animated series to utilize the budget better. This just sucked.

  4. Curious how many of those details have to be applied yourself (like decals and paint) and how many of those are already present on the sprue. Regardless, solid pose there.
  5. Thatโ€™s shaping up super nice!
  6. Also sampled The Villainess is Adored by the Prince of the Neighboring Kingdom and A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans. Both appear to be passable but unremarkable, utterly by-the-numbers examples of the otome game isekai and "normal guy teaches a class at paranormal school" genres respectively. The Villainess is Adored by the Prince of the Neighboring Kingdom is the story of a girl reincarnated in medias res as the villainess in the otome game she was playing when she died by Truck-kun, regaining memories of her past life just before she's due to meet her fate in the usual otome game villainess manner. Her story starts in earnest when her ex-fiance's plans to send her into exile are derailed barely a minute after being voiced by a prince from the neighboring kingdom declaring that he has Always Loved Her and immediately popping the question. It's not bad. It's just... really committed to that formula. A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans is similarly formulaic. Another one of those series about an eccentric but otherwise normal human getting hired to teach at a school for paranormal beings in part because their life kinda-sorta sucks and also because part of the school's curriculum is teaching said paranormal beings how to act human. In this case, the teacher is a guy with social anxiety who quit his job as a regular teacher and is now stuck with a class containing three animal girls and a mermaid. Also not bad, but following its formula so strictly that you'd suspect deviation is published by caning or something.

  8. Walmart. I haven't had any issues receiving anything from them so I'll report when I receive Astrotrain. I also have Studio Series TFTM Thundercracker preordered at Walmart since they listed it cheaper than other stores. Speaking of cheaper prices, Target currently has a sale on Transformers for 20% off.
  9. There are only like 9 macross items on that store right now.
  10. The third episode of Kunon the Sorcerer Can See dropped today. The first two episodes definitely didn't make a good impression and the series definitely started as it meant to go on. Partway through the third episode, I had to pause when I finally found the words to articulate why this series feels wrong. It's not just that the story is a badly written mess barely paying lip service to its own central premise. The combination of its directionless-feeling story and wildly uneven pacing makes it feel like the series is rushing without a destination in mind. Like they're just trying to get through the story as quickly as they can so they can go do something else. For instance, the main character only just started school the previous episode and is already set to graduate in this episode without ever actually attending a class. The school seems to serve no purpose in the story besides providing another group of randos to frantically glaze the protagonist at every turn. It's done so often, and so such ridiculous extremes, that it's actually quite disruptive to the story. I don't think I'll bother watching any further.
  11. Kinda happy and a bit lt down. It had been a lil bit since I tried searching for one of my favorite 80โ€™s shows and found that Amazon Prime actually Has Sledgehammer. Unfortunately it says available with commercials only. At least they have my show, but paying Amazon to remove commercials, but being stuck with commercials totally blows. Not sure when they added the show, but Iโ€™ve been kinda desperate to find it streaming, so I might see if I can deal with the annoyance
  12. I got my payment and private warehouse notice for the VT-1 on January 5. Since then, Iโ€™ve received five separate emails over the last week notifying me that the VT-1 is in stock. They seem to have some sort of glitch in their system. Iโ€™ve never seen this before.
  13. Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling started yesterday. I thought it was a fun 1st episode.
  14. With Kitzconcept, it's a bit like some Kickstarter projects, the release dates are approximate. I ordered books through another Kickstarter, and they just told us there's a one-year delayโ€ฆ I'm waitingโ€ฆ I'm trying to be patient. As I said, if you're not prepared to wait, it's best not to order. i like so much their products, there are very good but you have to be very patient because it's a small company, and production deadlines are never met.
  15. Huzzah!!! ๐Ÿ˜...... and on that momentous note.....I am now pleased to announce that.... now we have a battleship gentlemen! Primary hull painting DONE! (and gloss coated with Alclad Klear Kote). Definitely more user friendly to me these days than that Tamiya TS-13.
  16. Fyi everyone: this thread reached page 500. LET THE CELEBRATIONS COMMENCE!
  17. The first Infinity Castle movie is gorgeously animated... but because it follows exactly the same format as the TV series despite being a 155 minute movie the flashbacks REALLY REALLY drag on. Like, I remember I did not check the length of the film before going to see it at my local theater and was absolutely flabbergasted that the film was still going and still aggressively flashback-ing at the two hour mark. Caught another episode of The Daily Life of the Part-Time Torturer over lunch today. Its outrageous premise is no more than superficial so far and it's really just a "my daily life with my quirky coworkers" slice-of-life title. The vast majority of the physical business is offscreen or implied so the "torture" part is mostly just refuge in audacity for an office setting, since the characters don't really treat their work with any more gravitas than might normally be reserved for an afternoon spent shucking clams. It's not really bad... it's just... why? Why is this a thing? If you changed their occupation to rubbing grease on weasels it would be exactly the same story.
  18. Ah, ok. I haven't used Walmart for too many, if any, preorders that I can recall. I'm leery of using Target as well as they've cancelled preorders I've placed more than once which leaves a sour taste. Of late, my local Wally has been getting figures in more plentifully, but SS86 Soundwave remains elusive. I have to wonder if one of the employees is in the know about the demand and scarcity and is taking advantage of their access. Anyway, it is what it is, and I'm curious if he'll get some sort of a toy-deco rerelease, which would be my preference anyway. I'm assuming it's a rerelease of the Siege figure, perhaps with some minor retooling. I'd prefer a whole new mold that fixes everything that was wrong with the Siege. Guess I'll wait for the official reveal to see what, if any, changes have been made. And too, like you, if the changes are substantial and improve the figure's alt modes considerably, I'll try to secure a PO with Pulse as well, or Amazon failing that.
  19. They are great though... Nice squad! I'll buy variants if I can buy I hate preordering from them so I would rather wait until they're shipping. Wish I could swing by the store every couple weeks and check if anything is new but that's a bit out of my way.
  20. I would settle for smaller DX articulate styles even those arenโ€™t cartoon accurate. Or maybe even a hole in the right fist 1/55 style. ๐Ÿ˜
  21. Given the scale, you could probably take a shortcut and make a small adapter to plug the Arcadia posable hands into the wrists. Style wouldn't really match, but we've never had posable cartoon hands to begin with.
  22. Promise, i won't buy no more ๐Ÿ˜…
