  1. Past hour
  2. I wonder if BBTS will come through...
  3. Today
  4. Hope you eventually have time to come around to the textures too then. What you did for the wings look too sharp and make the original textures look murky in contrast 😂 I just found a few nitpicks around the canopy and chest area too, but I'll leave you alone for now lol
  5. Well for one, the major price difference and two the availability. Not to mention, G1 Hot Rod was a pretty decent toy back then in comparison to some of the others of the line. But finding a SS86 for a decent price is H A R D. He's going nearly 200 dollars. Glad I got mine when he came out!
  6. More pix from Shanghai. Very stylish poses by May'n before going on stage!

    1/55's revisited

This week has been filled with new Macross toys! 🤗 Yesterday I got my DX Roy Focker with GBP.... And today I got. 😍 Early edition in almost perfect Condition! 😜 with everything still sealed in its little bags.... Finally the Chunky Monkey mechanical edition 😍
  8. Railguns are a bit of an exception there. They accelerate projectiles to tremendous speeds using the Lorentz force created by running huge amounts of electrical current up one of a pair of parallel conductive rails, across the projectile, and back down the other rail. They don't have to supply that current for very long (per shot) but the amount of power required is pretty huge. Macross's railguns from the main timeline tend to be hybrids, though, using a chemical propellant "starter" and then using a railgun system to boost the projectile's velocity beyond what the propellant can do alone... so they might still work albeit at greatly reduced muzzle velocity. Particle beam weapons also require a lot of power. The relatively low amount of "surplus" power after the demands of propulsion, stealth, and defensive systems is why VFs with beam gunpods have only come about in the 5th Generation thanks to the greater output of Stage II thermonuclear reaction engines. Pretty much the same advantages that made railguns practical as VF-mounted weapons. Of course, the beam gunpod doesn't just need power, it needs a source of charged particles to fire... whether that's drawing on plasma from the VF's reactors directly or the kind of "beam cartridge" described in Master File (or both) the particles have to come from somewhere. A conventional gunpod has the advantage of not needing much power at all to work, being capable of running its motor and electronics off power from the VF side or from internal batteries.
  9. Hot damn, that's a pretty perfect E Honda, Jada is absolutely murdering with this line. Out of all the companies that have put out Street Fighter figures, this has gotta be my favorite line, good sculpts, accessories, price is right, and the scale is right about where I'd want it for a line getting this large and diverse.
  10. Well, how about that? I honestly never noticed the different calf. Well, add it to the list for future improvements. And ,yeah, the "hump" is just leftover shading, that area by the shield is flat on the model, but the texture still includes some form following features. What can I say, I'm lazy. 😉
  11. Looks goooooood!
  12. In case anyone is interested, a new PC game called Cleared Hot has an "almost-Airwolf" as a playable helicopter. I'm kind of tickled that the devs included this.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

Wrong gunpod stowage is just so very, very wrong.
  14. OMG. I wish I could use my USA Amazon account to order at that price...!
  15. ECMS is Airmail or is that Fedex?
  16. So is there anything more to the Wing other than the cloth? Seems pricey to only have that as your add-on for the price difference between the two...
  17. “And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my sisters! And you will know my name is Milia Fallyna Jenius when I lay my vengeance upon thee!”
  18. A single GBP ended up being $106 via ecms
  19. Mine ended up costing 15500 yen + whatever tariff/fee Fedex will charge. This was the cheapest option available from Neokyo besides surface mail. They ended up using a 12"x13"x18.5" size box.
  20. Fourth: you can use a projectile weapon even with low energy, but beam weapons use a lot of energy.
  21. Perfect thank you very much
  22. Damn, I got lucky on Amazon one day and it was $65. Couldnt pass that up.
  23. Yup, the SW sequels did not do any of the actors in them any favors. Zombie movies are not my thing (very few movies are these days) but it looks worth a watch when it comes out on streaming.
  24. The 24's upper calf is entirely a different design, along with the shape of the dorsal cutout that it fits into. Wasn't expecting you to skip changing it altogether. Also been noticing the second spine hump after where the real one is supposed to end. Dunno if it's leftover shading in the 25's texture, or leftover geometry from the shield changes, or intentional design on your part. The old panel lines make all of that very hard to tell apart. That's why I thought there was a lot of work left in converting the model to the 24
  25. Yesterday
  26. I dunno, I kept getting distracted by the ridiculous dialogue. It was like they threw the entire script into a blender, blitzed for five seconds, then scooped out a handful of words to use for the trailer. EDIT: The upside down mirror section was pretty neat, though, ngl. More like that, please.
  27. It's from the Iron Saga mobile game that from my understanding wastes a cast of original designs & cross-franchise mechas in a top view campaign gameplay 😅 The Moderoid kit rocks nonetheless. I could stare at it all day. Rich on details, but it stops right before things become overly complicated and cluttered, which seems to be the bane of many non-Gundam (or non-Macross) designs.
