505thAirborne Posted September 20 Posted September 20 @MKT Thank you! Enjoy the pics. For those who still have the MPC Alpha's, do not tempt fate, find some Poseable's for Soldier Mode and leave your Alpha in fighter mode.
Mog Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Looks awesome, @505thAirborne! The combo blended beautifully well together. And totally agree about the Alphas. Leave them in one mode, and don’t mess with them too much. Now, we just need someone to paint the Sentinel Tread green, and our board will have a full customized set of the combo’s color schemes.

I really like both toys and, even though the legioss seems a bit smaller to me, combined they are really fantastic. Hopefully we will get a tread also for the green and red legioss. I will be waiting for the missile kit to arrive before trying to transform them, meanwhile i hope you enjoy these pictures in fighter mode. And if you like follow me on my insta page https://www.instagram.com/alpha_toys2.0/?igsh=MTJveHpkbDMyd3pxaw%3D%3D# I had no idea the cockpit on a Tread was in the literal nose of the mecha. Maybe that explains why Treads were so rare (kinda easy to kill with a head-on shot)?
505thAirborne Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) And that's a rap; I'm calling the Dark TREAD/Shadow Beta completed. Eventually this will go back in its MPC box, but for now I'll enjoy it for a bit. Again, a big thank you to all the members who helped out in making this project possible!!! Mog Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Digging the red you added to the eyes. Gives a nice menacing pop to the armo-soldier mode.

Graham Posted September 22 Posted September 22 By the way, does anybody know what the yellow array on the TREAD is supposed to be? Is it a sensor array? Beam guns? Missile launcher?

Why have it swivel towards the back in bomber mode, unless it's to deter any opponent from trying to get behind it and shoot it down. All the other missile launchers are pointing towards the front in bomber mode, so would make sense to have some firepower pointed rearwards.

jenius Posted September 22 Posted September 22 I believe it's listed as a laser guided bomb launcher... but it points upward in bomber mode.

Perxion Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Hello everyone, first of all, I want to thank everyone who has shown interest in my work. I want you to know that I am very happy to be able to make these kits for Mospeada fans. A few points for those who ordered a kit: 1- I haven't sent a payment link to anyone yet, as I'm looking for the best shipping price. For those who don't know, my location is on an island in Portugal, and most of the orders I've received are from the USA. 2- I have remodeled the corresponding connectors for the TREAD, so I will include 6 connectors per kit. 3- I have already started printing. 4- I'M NOT TAKING ORDERS RIGHT NOW. For a while, until further notice. I've received about 10 orders and plan to complete them and then resume taking orders. I hope you understand. I want to provide a personalized product and dedicate time to each order. And since it's something I do in my spare time, it'll take time. So I appreciate your patience. I assure you, you'll get a fabulous kit. Thank you. Mekanimuss.

lechuck Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Some insight on the Toyrise Legioss Omega – interview with the people involved (Shinji Aramaki) creating it. Page three has the juicy bits for Mospeada fans. https://hobby.dengeki.com/reviews/2739360/

Page three has the juicy bits for Mospeada fans. https://hobby.dengeki.com/reviews/2739360/ Quote This story begins before I joined the production of the anime "Genesis Climber MOSPEADA." I was around 21 or 22 years old, and I dropped out of university in Okayama and moved to Tokyo for the first time, hoping to work in animation. By chance, I ended up doing outsourced work for Takara Tomy (then Takara). One of my jobs was the "Micro Change Series," the toys that inspired the now-world-famous "Transformers." These were transforming toys like "Camera Robot" and "Cassette Robot." I would go to Takara Tomy's (then Takara) headquarters once or twice a week, bring in B4-sized design drawings, and hold meetings with the people in charge to discuss them. Although I was an external designer, I was able to hear about the toy industry at the time, see prototypes, and experience the actual process of toy commercialization, which was a valuable experience for me. very interesting. Camera Robot and Cassette Robot... robot detailing of Soundwave, Rumble and Reflector on top of Mospeada.

Makes me hopeful of further toy developments that will be in the $100-$150 range for the toys is always a bonus. While I have never touched the Sentinel Legioss or Tread, they look absolutely wonderful and worth the $200-$400 price tag, not to mention the Mospeada. The POSE+ looks awesome, but is way out of my league for price. The scale is perfect, but the cost is just too much. Hope to be able to acquire one of these. Twich

MKT Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Some new promo materials from Pose+ on the Legioss (Translated with Google Translate): In their original language: Spoiler
MKT Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Also, I believe these are from Hobby Japan (source: Stone Cheung).
Mog Posted September 25 Posted September 25 So, it’s a bigger scaled figure, but they can’t get the arm-booster tops to sit flush in fighter mode?
Tubes78 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 So I finally got my Sentinel blue Legioss x2 today. One I combined with the Tread and the other I display in soldier mode. It felt like a nightmare transforming it the first time. Especially the hips that had the pin twisted backwards on one leg. Once a understood the transformation i could get it from fighter to soldier mode in under 10 min. The look great on my shelf, a worthy successor to my old Robotech Alpha/Beta combo.
VF-Zero Posted September 25 Posted September 25 (edited) I have never watched Mospeada, but i heard that it was connected to Macross so i grabbed a Sentinel RIOBOT series AFC-01I Legioss Iota some years ago and it was a nice looking Valkyrie design anyway. There were three of these Valkyries called Legioss in the Sentinel RIOBOT Mospeada line, i considered getting all of them, but decided to get only one because the other two were only in different color and i don't really know the anime so getting only one of them looked enough to me to have something from this branch of Macross as well. Edited September 25 by VF-Zero
Mog Posted September 25 Posted September 25 ^^😬 The only story tie-in between Macross and Mospeada is Robotech. And that’s a can of worms you probably don’t want to go down. Mospeada as a stand-alone anime is actually pretty good. Cool designs, a compelling kick in the face to start the show off, interesting characters, and an enemy that may not exactly be destroying the Earth.
VF-Zero Posted September 25 Posted September 25 As long as i like the Valkyrie or any mecha design in an anime, i will probably grab it, if it is not too expensive.
jenius Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I have a few complaints about Mospeada but one of the bigger ones is the flight choreography... The battles just aren't exciting.
Mog Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Well, most of the fights involved Stig/Stick firing every damn missile and/or RPG at his disposal.
