Binged it all - enjoyed it. That last bit was pretty satisfying and I look forward to the next half of it. While I suspect there will be some twists and turns, I'm hoping we witness a bona fide wombo-combo to end it all.

I was a little iffy with this season, since it sorta seemed like it was sidelining almost all the main characters, but the last episode felt like it really got the main cast back in action and even gave the new ones something to do.

I wouldn’t have minded as much if the seasons were self contained stories. Having to wait a while makes a rewatch kinda necessary.

It’s really tough these days to avoid spoilers. Don’t even look at images, because one that seems to be a constant thumbnail is a major spoiler for the last episode of the first half.

we did a complete rewatch of the whole show because it had been so long and I kinda feel like it helps, but if you got a super good memory, then it may not be necessary

I could not bring myself to watch season 5 and removed the show from my watchlist. I feel liberated. This isn't a comment on the quality on the show. It's just been so long and I was ready to move on.

But other than that deep cut, they do give a quick recap of Season 4 to remind you of the main points.

All of them have been self contained, but with a big spoiler hook usually thrown in at the end.  Season 4 could easily have been the end of it with just a slightly different end scene.

Does anyone know if the episode count was cut after they started writing the season?  The whole bit about the one kid getting beat up by the jocks seems to have meant to have been a setup for a subplot but went nowhere.  Even the problem it caused could easily have been explained away without it.

It has been a bit of a wait, but I'm not minding it. For a good show, I'll give it the time it needs, and it looks like it is here. Just finished the first half and I'm loving it! Still with the excitement, the dread and the humor. Except for that one half season here Eleven went off on her own, this show has been pretty solid all the way. Really wish they'd just released them all, but I guess they gotta do what they gotta do, and it ain't no stick going to places it don't belong..

I keep wanting to do that with all of the streaming channels...then they bring up something I actually enjoy....the latest was HBO with Welcome to Derry, a show I didn't know I needed.....if they announce a "Welcome to the Overlook Hotel" spinoff, I'll be locked in for another few years...LOL

But I am with you on Netflix, after Stranger Things, not sure what they have coming...there was talk of a Stranger Things spin-off, but who knows....I hope the end of the Upside Down setting is over......

I still have The Boys final season with Amazon, the second season of Fallout so far I have not been able to get into lke the first season.......and HBO is starting up with yet another "GoT" series, plus Primal Season 3.....so the weakest at the moment for me seems to be Netflix.....

What gets me is some of the most unrealistic aspects of it all. I know I know, it's a tv show, it's fantasy, you can't expect much, but Mrs. Wheeler getting out of bed, dragging an 02 tank, putting it into a dryer WITHOUT being seen or heard, that's pretty stupid. Let alone the fact she could do all that when just days ago she was gouged up and barely alive THEN she starts talking after all of that? Come on that's some hippopotamus poo right there. The unnecessary joke about Steve's lil steve being so huge, or Will thinking that his big dark secret is he's gay? My god this is lets turn off the lights and blend all this crap together in the machine without the led and then turn the lights back on and see w hat sticks is ridiculous. Or this Broadway show that's going on that bridges Vecna's story into the Stranger Things series and if you hadn't heard about it before things will just go over your head.....again, come on! Or how little developement Linda Hamilton's role has been? Out of the 7+ hours we've had of this show this season, she's had maybe 2 minutes of screen time? What was even the point? So she wants to follow the previous guys footsteps and start her own lil Pyschic army against the Soviets, so what? You could have done that with any non-big named person and probably saved yourself some money due to the weak ass special effects this season has produced. 
And the lame ass breakup between Nancy and Johnathon.......good god....

This finale better knock my freaking socks off in the next hour or so help me, I don't even care if Terminator Zero Season 2 comes out, I won't ever touch netflix again.

The ending was as good as it could be based on how things were going during this final season.....I'm good with it...
