jvmacross Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Eyes, mouth, and 2 little ears. Can't be unseen now!
wmkjr Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Just picked up my Monster. What's this part for anyway? Aiming sight camera
beatsing Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Looks like 6 sensors. 4 sensors for the 4 artillery and 1 on each hand for the Rocket launchers
Professor Dire Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Just picked up my Monster. What's this part for anyway? Used existing image as reference Please see arrow in the image Those are IR/Vis-Red floodlights. The other 4 little turrets are as stated targeting hardware.
fenrir72 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Thanks guys! So much detail for such a "monster" toy
Vi-RS Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 This thing is so well built that I don't know how to take it apart except the die cast foot plates.
edstuff Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 This thing is so well built that I don't know how to take it apart except the die cast foot plates. I agree. Bandai knocked it out of the park with this. I'd love to see an MKI with hands
sh9000 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 This thing is so well built that I don't know how to take it apart except the die cast foot plates. Throw it out of a high-rise building.
derex3592 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 It might damage the street below when it hits though....
Big s Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I know you were joking and all, but with that much weight from a high rise may actually do some real damage. Not only that, but it has so much weight at the lower half it may just land on its feet😺
edstuff Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Do we know what the next hi metal valk will be and when available?

sh9000 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Seems to be sold out. It might be available again closer to the date. Loopaza has the Hikaru TV VF-1J for preorder. https://www.loopaza.com/brand/hi-metal-r.html September 30 can't come here soon enough for the CF VF-1A's. Can't wait.
Roy Focker Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Hikaru sold out (at fair prices) really fast. I hoping to there will be some at a fair prices after it is released.
sh9000 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Looks like Hong Kong Post Air Mail / DHL Global Mail with an average shipping cost of $15 no matter what type of VF-1.
no3Ljm Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 What are loopaza shipping rates like? Like I mentioned here before you can check an estimate shipping price from Loopaza even if you don't register to be a member. Just put the item in the cart. Scroll down and you will see the quote shipping area. I just checked for California zip code and it's $17 for me. Hope that helps.
Big s Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 The Hikaru preorder was abou 2 months ago, but some may open up with cancellations or an awesome deal may pop up after release. I'm still wondering when we'll hear about something beyond the Max 1j.

I'm still wondering when we'll hear about something beyond the Max 1j. That right there sir is how we test our patience. Because if they do reveal month after month what are they're going to release, we have to keep up and start saving more. We don't want members here to start complaining that Bandai should stop so we can somehow replenish budgets for our hobby.
F360 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 recieved my huge Monster from ebay seller "denetmarket" today. It was packaged with paper and lots of bubble wrap in a huge Amazon.JP box. Shipping was very fast too , only took 3 days. All this for only $215 shipped.

edstuff Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I found an old bag of 44 special brass casings. I'm gonna try and sneak into the shop this week and take one or two to the bench grinder and take down the rim. Try and make it resemble the shells from the YouTube vid. I'll post my results when finished
jaylive Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 guys. whats the difference between the hikaru release, and the hikaru that was used as the armored vf-1? they look the same to me. i know theres a difference, or else whats the point of this release lol
wmkjr Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) The TV version VF-1J Hikaru gets a new head sculpt, white visor vs grey, filler pieces for battroid mode, small wings for battroid, tinted canopy, different red color(?), different painted chest stripes, TV hands and maybe some other things that I forgot. You can take a look at these links to compare: TV VF-1J Hikaru http://tamashii.jp/item/11427/ Armored VF-1J http://tamashii.jp/item/11012/ Edited August 28, 2016 by wmkjr
