akteon
Slightly blurry cellphone pic - I finally got around to putting bubble shields on my two Masei helmets.
moy
what part number did you use and did it fit perfect?
akteon
Here are the exact bubble shields I ordered off eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121713282922 They DO NOT fit perfect at all. The bottom part won't fit around when they are on the top snaps. In the pictures above they are not snapped and pushed above the snaps so the bottom of the bubble shield will fix just inside the bottom of the mask. The top visor and the bottom part of the mask do hold it in place so it's not moving around, but it's definitely not snapped in. I'm looking at trying something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/371411032099 to allow the bubble shield to ride up and fit at the bottom but still be snapped. My other option was to take a dremel tool and cut slots in the bubble shield on the sides where they make contact with the bottom two snaps used by the original flat shield, this should allow the bubble shield to have a bit more flexibility when fitting the bottom of the mask on, while still being snapped at the top. I bought a Visor very similar to what you have, you definitely need to cut away a bit of the visor in order for it to fit. Mine is very snug but it's still better than the flat clear visor you get standard with these helmets.

I did manage to tweak mine a bit so that they actually fit with the helmet. While it doesn't go as far down as I'd like, it does manage to just cover the entire front of the helmet. I thought about doing a vacuform piece that would be perfect, but it's too much work for something that these seem to do just fine, or fine enough. TairaPaco
Thank you Dustyairs to mention me. on the theme of the display now I'm not sure if buy the bubble visor or shield visor apart that I understand that the bubble display has problems to insert the helmet. I've been doing the pilot suit in scale real Macross DYRL with eva foam, at the moment I makes the arms, shoulders, chest and part of the leg, now the problem is the layer of resin that I'm throwing him not dry at all and gets a bit sticky to see if I can solve the problem, hope to finish it and send photos. Sorry for my English, I am using translator lol Edited September 13, 2015 by TairaPaco

Hikuro
I was just casually browsing motorcycle helmets with a co worker yesterday and saw the huge price job on the helmet. Couldn't say no at 129 for an XL and snagged it on eBay. Real excited to add this to my helmet collection of cool stuff!
Hikuro
got my helmet today. ......rather disappointed in the paint job, there's like a lot of missing black around the rim of the sail. lots......

This should guide you in the right direction. Chances are that most of the guys selling on Ebay are Msaei. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Masei-911-Macross-Robotech-Gundam-Motorcycle-Helmet-Yellow-White-/152064347327?var=&hash=item2367bdccbf:m:m3r7e9aedq9e0YyDSTu84Rg&vxp=mtr
