I don't understand what I just watched. Is this for the current audience or new audience or older audience? I can't describe the premise or tone. You could take that trailer and reedit to make trailers for at least two different shows.

All that trailer shows me is that this show in NOT for me. Hope they get the new fans they want, 'cus I don't think they'll be getting any old ones back with this.

Sad Day, Great actress....

I'm on vacation and had originally planned to fly out to the USAF and the Air and Space museum, but the government shutdown screwed that up so I went to a Lego shop instead and picked up some old school lego holy grail items. Yes, that's the Black Monarch's Castle in the back. 99.99% complete except for the string for the drawbridge. š

They don't twist, those are separate shoulder parts. Believe me, if you twist those things hard enough they're snapping off.

Watched the movie THE SUBSTANCE on HBO tonight. Take a dash of the Overlook hotel from The Shinning, Smeagol & Gollum, Carrie and possibly Requiem for a dream (ending sequence). Demi Moore wants to relive her youth, and it comes at one hell of a cost.

I fully agree that the planes are intended to have key visual differences between them, but the items you point out along with the fact that the legs/engines are truly identical, are what make me think the line art was a purely cosmetic quick rinse on a 25 design that didn't get a lot of thought put into it. For instance, VertexNebula's model on Cults3D does a good job of making that canopy look decent in 3D, but also makes it clear that the flat lower edge really works against the flow of the fuselage and was only ever considered in 2D. I have no doubt that if it were ever rendered on screen as an actual object, the differences would be revised to be much more distinct. I can buy that the nose is intended to have a different shape and thickness to it, and may straighten it up to be a bit more 31-ish. That bulb feature on the side of the nosecone is certainly meant to be something more than markings. What I'm really wondering is what the head should look like. The line art is basically a 25A, but there's no way that's what's intended to be under the hood. Again, I don't think anyone has actually thought that deep into this design to have something in mind, but that would definitely be an area the two planes would be distinct from each other. Oh well, plenty to do before I hit that point, but will have an eye out for suitable candidates in the meanwhile.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Seto Kaiba replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest is probably going to be the first title I drop this season. The writing is beyond terrible. It's bad enough that it's one of those isekai-adjacent Gary Stu power fantasy titles full of thinly-written characters and cliched interactions. The worst part is that, as of just a couple minutes into the second episode, it's clear that the entire premise of the series is itself a gaping plot hole. The translation quality is AWFUL too. -
Thanks. I had to take a bit of a break due to 50+ hour work weeks and being in the last year of school. At my age, that's been a bit of a big leap back into the process, and wrapping up a 2nd degree just for work promotion is not something I ever really expected to have to do. I'm still working on some other things, but at a snail's pace. This is not the easiest project, but one I feel I should finish being so old now.

Boldly written by Pakleds, for Pakleds. 𤮠If that trailer was supposed to make me want to watch the series, oof... mission failed with distinction. That just looks like more of everything that already wasn't working in Star Trek: Discovery.

Hmm, wish that Titan Grimlock and that neat Timelines set went up today, too (and we're still waiting for AotP '26 wave 1 for that matter), but I got an order in for Nemesis Prime and preorders for Skybound Optimus, Thundercracker, and Windcharger.- 17735 replies

Nice! A little updateā¦Slow going on the Ashura Temple even for such a simple kit. There is so much painting, masking, putty, then glueing into armor, masking that and then priming and sanding, more masking and painting and putty repeat. So many elements need to be completed and protected while other parts are built around them and then completed etc⦠I feel like brush painting would of been a faster simpler method to get this cooked, but I want that airbrush look on this one.
