For junior high and high school students yeah. IIRC, the series had a Sunday 11:00am time slot when it first aired in Japan.

So... "A Space Adventure Hour". I made it to exactly a minute and thirty-seven seconds before I needed to stop and take stock of what I was looking at, because my mind simply refused to comprehend. I want to see the blooper reel from this episode's production so very badly. That the cast keep a straight face while delivering this dialog in this way shows absolutely gargantuan self-control. I would be on the floor.

I didn't have the original TF1 leader, just the Voyager. I had the RotF leader, though, which has a transformation that's kind of similar to the MPM. I'm curious to see how the new SS figure will turn out. I thought the original Voyager was just ok-ish, hoping that going leader will afford him more screen accuracy.- 17452 replies

Regarding TF1 Optimus, the OG toy was a pretty impressive bit of toy engineering especially for a company that had basically been making simple blocky bots up to that point. One huge positive that came out of the live action films was the paradigm shift in Takara's approach to designing TF toys. While I haven't messed about with my copy of leader TF1 OP in many years, I still recall the complexity and brilliance of that figure's design. I likely won't buy the next version, but I'm definitely curious to see how and if Takara can improve on that original toy.- 17452 replies

Color me jealous! Now I'm gonna have to find a junker G1 Jetfire to do my own version! Seriously though: incredible job on this! Bandai should be taking notes from you!

This could probably use a title change. I assumed this was yet another James Cameron Avatar sequel.

Awesome! Testing it that way never even entered my mind.

I think they were trying to have a bit of the manga/ movie aesthetic, but in the show it just seemed awkward that she’s the only person in town walking around in a thong. That and she’s always around business types or military or family people and no one thinks this one woman is anything but a hooker. The Manga kinda had a lot of people in questionable outfits and it sorta fit the society. Much less in the movie and totally out of place in the show. As Far as that Protect Gear, I have no complaints about that one. Totally Awsome and absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on it

So, I’m using the extra support part: Done. I always imagined the Legioss boosters merging into the chest circles on the Tread. The Sentinel combo has the Legioss sitting a little higher, a noticeable smidge above the chest circles. BUT are you seeing that picture above?! I ain’t touching the Legioss AT ALL.

My feelings as well. For me, Avatar just looks like a lot of flash for visual entertainment created around a pretty simple story line. Awesome effects, but not much else.

I’m laying it down as a soft edge rather than the hardline in the profile… although I may give it a tighter line.

I watched Alita twice. And if a sequel does come out, I'll probably watch it again to recap myself. But... Avatar 2... That stays as a once off. Visually beautiful and entertaining, but not a single character resonated enough with me to ever watch it again...

The people I know are a bit of a mix, and those that saw it really enjoyed it, anime fan or not. But they’re majority of people I know have never heard of it at all or just didn’t want to take their kids to see it and forgot about its existence. I guess maybe if it ain’t Smurfs or smurf colors, then they didn’t care

Aha, thanks. So it's a size thing, and Metal Robots are pretty much more detailed Robot spirits. Do they have substiantial metal in them? Or are they another "HMR" where it's just the name?

Maybe. I based my view on my circle of friends and family that watched it, and with most of them not really Anime and Manga fans, the big eyes was a disconnection with the character. Was also for me. Really didn't interpret well in live action.

I’d totally buy that whole set at that price. I’d probably only be able to get one fighter though. I did hear they’re trying for some lighting gimmicks. -
I’d totally buy SH figuarts over these, but it ain’t happening. Still waiting on that Breetai they teased ages ago………

They definitely benefit from the theater experience. The home viewing is very bland at best. These movies are visually cool in 3D on the big screen, but they’re not much better than Saturday morning cartoons as far as writing and story. I don’t think that was a big issue. Most people just didn’t give the movie a chance. Most of the viewers actually really enjoyed the film. Even the reviews weren’t bad for it, just the audience was non existent. Not enough people interested in the franchise and not a lot of people interested in a non kids cg looking movie. It also kinda lacked the hype that Avatar has despite being far better than Avatar for the most part.
