Arcadia 0D is an order of magnitude better than the old Yamato weathering editions.

I suppose, despite the perceived faults, this 0D is still the best factory-weathered Macross item.. not counting the Mac-Z F-14 yet.

Through testing, the streaks can be removed with acrylic thinner or isopropyl alcohol... BUT I don't recommend doing that. It will also remove the black filter sprayed over top the entire valk and reveal a bright light powder blue plastic underneath. You will be going down the same deep dark rabbit hole I just jumped into.

If you want to just try something simple, jump straight to using the black pigments and just go over the streaks, if nothing else than to fill the gaps, with those and then spray a matte clear coat over top of it to keep it from getting rubbed off. Even simpler and faster since you wouldn't be trying to make more realistic looking streaks, use a GM01 Gundam Marker instead and fill the gaps with that and then lightly matte coat locally (with a brush or airbrush) over the area since the ink is fairly glossy and to prevent it from getting rubbed away or smeared on areas you don't want it to be on.

Let me rephrase ... I don't want to remove the streaks, just complete them.

This part would apply then ;)

Another alternative if you want to avoid having to apply a clear coat, is to just get a very fine tip brush and matte black paint, dip the brush in and wipe most of it off on a paper towel and then brush on to fill the gap between the streak and the vent holes.

NY! And still at original non-scalper price. :D

Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. I burned that bridge anyway.

DYRL VF-S has one inbound he doesn't need. I'm assuming it was a SSP credit purchase.

Woo Hoo! My PF OD has finally arrived after it’s tour of the Eastern U.S. Arrived in NJ then went south to Atlanta GA, next up to Kentucky then, likely  driving  literally just past my house, north to Pittsburgh PA, and then finally back to me in WV. Such efficiency, LoL!

Anyway, the OD is gorgeous. Thankfully my weathering is done well. No overly done blotches that I’ve seen on some.  Very happy with my item!

Is the PF still in stock anywhere? HLJ had 2 and I was waiting until I got paid yesterday. Checked just now and they have disappeared sometime in the last week. AARRGGHH. None on Jungle or Manda either.

Not that I'm aware of.. had briefly looked around for a third a little while back but found nothing. Someone might know where though.

Posted these in the workshop thread but I figured it would be appropriate to share here also after mentioning how I went down that rabbit hole. I couldn't leave it as is anymore and went all in, so I worked on mine a little bit here and there over the span of the past few weeks.

My inspiration being to make it look like this more or less

Amazing work as always @MacrossJunkie! Man I wish I had half your level of skill!

I'd love to see you make the 0A look like that! :good:
