    I call BS on that EI. Even if it is supossed to be placed in modern times they can still armor up the man amps. Even if it's just sheets of kevlar. Also the Ironman example proves that audiences can accept a person in suit not being a robot.

    THing is, most of the mech-suits/mecha we've seen come out of hollywood are Man-Amps, not some form of power armor. Iron Man is likely the only real power armor hollywood has put out on the big screen. Japan on the other hand, with most of its screen material being animated, has been able to create large varieties of power armor that it make individualistic enough to ID the characters. In hollywood, the stars want that face time, and the producers want that face time so make demands to use man-amps instead. Ironman did a good job of finding ways to show the actors face without cutting away from the action too much, and that is what other sci-fi movies need to emulate in some way,

    Not a bad fan film, but it shows that a good Deus Ex movie could be made. Not sure if I would prefer a Human Revolution or original Deus Ex storyline though.

    So beyond the stupid hollywood reason of showing the idiot actors' faces why are they in man amps instead of full up power armor?

    What???? The 1984 David Lynch dune was a freaking travesty. I will admit that the syfy mini-series had its faults, mostly due to budget, but I feel it was far closer to the source material. The Ornithopter actually had flapping wings and wasn't just a freaking flying wedge. The still suits actually looked like soemthing that could be worn in the desert and weren't black leather. It had distinct styles for all the different houses, and actually tried to show Paul age with how they dressed and did the actor's makeup. It actually treated the Wierding Way as a fighting style instead of a sound based weapon, seriously WTF was that? Oh and lets not forget, it Paul doesn't make it rain at the end. Yes it did have Irulan do things that other characters did in the book, but that was in an effort to make her more than just window dressing and I think was done well. Overall I will watch the mini over the David Lynch POS any day of the week.

    I know I used to live in Tucson, watching A-10s flying over was a great part of my day, everyday. I still remember when I first moved to Tucson that the A-7s were still flying out of TIA with the AZANG. My Dad would complain because of how low they came in and that runway damn near comes to the street, so he would be at the stoplight and the ungodly noise of an A-7 roaring over would almost split his eardrums. The A-7 was one of the loudest birds ever, now we have the F-35.

    Projectfree.tv pretty much every show out there is on there via its various mirrors and most you can get that night if you are patient. That is how we watch the latest shows since we cut the cable

    There is a lot of push back to keep the A-10 flying until after the F-35A is actually online to serve as its replacement. Losing the A-10 will not kil Davis Monathon though, with AMARC there the AF has to keep that base open, they will shift resources around and move another aircraft there. Worst case they will turn DM into an Air Reserve Base and probably have the AZ ANG move over there from the airport. Also, yes the U-2/TR-1 is finally going to go away. The RQ-4 will be its replacement, as it should ahve been years ago, and now that it is being retired it is hastening RQ-4 upgrades and sensor development.

    If you want the latest news on the Pak-Fa, unclassified, go onto the keypublishing forums. As for the visible actuator pumps on most of the fifth gen fighters, that's thin wing syndrome. The electric actuators for supersonic fighters are massive compared to old hydraulics and cables. The YF-23 had a thicker wing and store more fuel there then most of the other 5th gens. As a result you don't see the actuator bumps, which did help make it stealthier.

    I might consider the 1/100, for the boys can't remember if the reviews were crap or not. I just wish the plushes would come out sooner, then I would get one or two for the little guy.

    Looks interesting. SO is this set in the future? Also what is with the cheesy music?

    That sword is rediculous. The sharp edge of the main blade faces the wielder and if you flip it around that hand guard gets in the way.

    So Titanfall is then confirmed MP only. That is a giant pass from me then, too bad.

    Very cool prop but it definitely shows the biggest problem with the design, the tiny grip, you can't get all four fingers in there.
