  1. Thanks for the advice. So any idea if it is possible to fix the oversprayed silver on the lower legs? This is the worst spot for me since he will be in robot-mode most of the time. This and the terrible gun but I guess I could strip all the paint and paint it again since it is all silver. I only fear of soaking the gun in paint thinner since I melted a A-10 Warthog gun-pod that way. My MP Streak is just so perfect and I want to be Lambor too.
  2. So I'm debating if I should return my MP-12 Lambor. I made some images that shows the defects on mine. In addition the gun on mine has terrible qc with mold grates, dusk inclusions and splotchy paint that my camera won't pick up well. In addition the hood doesn't lock into place at the white waist tab and I have a circle of denser red paint on the roof. Has someone advice what to do. To me the defects on mine are rather severe compared to other Lambors I've seen. I have to pay import fees and sales taxes a second time when I'm ordering a new one.
  3. What we need to get a VF-2SS done is a rich mecha fan with a limitless love for Macross 2, the VF-2SS and the fandom. This super-fan would go to Arcadia give them a lot of money and than they would produce a limited run of that toy. There it's not that hard.
  4. Oh well my YF-29 from was caught by customs. I don't like where this goes.... fees, fees, fess and taxes *sing*
  5. I know but thank you. I always assumed that the silver stripes on his torso come from the silver stripe of the cap. So even if the silver pieces of the torso are "fake" parts (i.e. the wheel housing) to keep the story behind the transformation consistent they should also paint the "fake" stripes in robot mode in this camo pattern.... Now I hope this makes sense.
  6. If this works for you I think it is ok. I would exchange it because If I had ever to sell the YF-19 the missing piece will be a hindrance for potential buyers. I have no plans to ever sell it but then all of a sudden life happens and I need some money. Also I often have the urge to change my display and I would display it for sure someday just to add some variate to my display cabinet.
  7. Why isn't the camo stripe showing up on Convoys torso?
  8. I would buy one however I have other VF-1 Valkyries that are higher on my priority list (VF-1J Miria, GBP VF-1J, VF-1S Max, etc.).
  9. Scyla

    Macross figures

I'd say it is a whole lot of cogwheels!
  10. In addition the YF-29 Isamu Custom was a web shop exclusive so everyone that wanted one got one and then some more.
  11. Just don't break anything!
  12. As far as I remember HLJ will pay for the shipping back to them. If this is trueI would send it back for a replacement. If they have low stock on the YF-19 I would act quick. I've never had to return an item to HLJ so maybe someone else could tell you how fast they send out the replacement. I have a paint defect on my VF-1S Hikaru from Arcadia and they where only able to offer me store credit because the item was already sold out.
  13. That is the piece I was talking about. On my VF-27 I also heard a click but it wasn't pushed in all the way. I'm not saying you did anything wrong I just want to share my experience with you. It sounds like yours has the same problem as my YF-29 has. So maybe a floor polish expert here on the boards can help you with that.
  14. So I got my copy of the so called "second production run" of MP Lambor and it has a terrible paint-job. It is by far the worst collector toy I got in my (small) collection. There is like a 2 mm red paint overspray in the roof area. A piece that should be painted red plastic has a blackish tint to it, etc. I haven't had the chance to take it out of it's box to transform it and inspect it further. Now I'm discussing what to do next. Maybe I should send a complaint out to the shop where I bought it from and demand a replacement unit. Then again I don't want to get hit by customs a second time and pay for shipping it back. On the other hand since Takara got my money already it is morally ok to buy a KO because I heard that they are of pretty good quality. I'm bummed out at the moment. [edit: ] Was able to inspect MP-12 more thoroughly and the paint-job is worse that I feared. I skimmed through the MP Lambor thread over at TFW and the paint on mine is not the worst example I've seen but the second worst. Some of the areas I discovered: On the roof there is paint missing on the edge to the black section (where the rocket launcher plugs in). Some minor oversprays of black paint and some scuffs around the side windows. The panel where the side mirror is attached was not painted fully so I can see the black plastic underneath The roof has a flat paint nose The gun looks like it was painted than thrown into the dust immediately after and painted again. I don't want to bore you with this because I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse here but I'm really frustrated. I thought the second production run would have a slightly better paint-job than the first one. Even the people in the thread for this run at TFW have said that their copies have better QC this time around. Does anyone has any experience with replacements from BBTS (this is where I bought him from). Do they replace toys with such errors and do they cover shipping it back? Thanks.
  15. Are you talking about the metal prong that clips into the place where the Fighter- and Gerwalk-Mode stand adapters attach to? First I would check if you snapped them all the way in. I had this problem with my Super VF-27 where it would hold fine without the armor but detach with the extra weight. I turned out I hadn't snapped the metal prong in all the way in. The connection is usually pretty save but I have the same problem with my armored-up YF-29 Fokker Custom. I usually display them on their stands when in Fighter-Mode so its fine. I don't know if you can tighten the joints with super glue or floor polish since I never did such a thing to my toys so maybe someone else could give some advice on this topic. Hope that helps.
  16. The detachable cap gets me thinking. Maybe Takara will release a white MP-10 with different, redesigned legs so that it can fit under the trailer hitch. Maybe the wheels on the legs do not stay in place but fold onto the back of the legs to bulk them up. Not sure if this is wishful thinking because there doesn't seem to be much room under the trailer hitch. As for die-hard all in one fans I think they could have done better in reducing the gaps and kibble on the lower legs and back of the toy. Other than that I think it is the best Ultra Magnus toy we will be getting from the 1986 movie design for some time. I assume this would have resulted in panel madness on an already panel-tastic toy though.
  17. Meh? The fact that the band members are not in scale with the cockpit figure is an instant pass for me. I think I prefer the regular version and Veffidas without a drum-set is kinda lame but the Micro-FB are cool.
  18. I have to say. The lower legs of MP-22 are terrible. The center piece of the lower leg that is folded up into the back of the trailer is just to small everywhere. There are gaps in the front, gaps on the side and gaps on the back. Also he needs to lean forward to not topple over. Why not bring the center leg piece a bit more forward to the shins to remove the gap between the legs and the shin guards a bit. I still like it because it is the one transforming Ultra Magnus toy that comes the closest to what I imagined Ultra Magnus would look like from my childhood memories and hopefully the paint job lets MP-22 look less noisy than the gray prototype pictures. Articulation seems terrible limited too. Worse than MP-10 and ever worser than all the other Masterpiece Transformers after Convoy sans the seekers. To me it seems like the elbows could bend less than 45 degrees. The designer (Hasui I think) showed that he could do great designs so maybe this is the best one can do given the source material. The butt flap however is terribly lazy because you could easily engineered a second joint in the middle of the cap roof to fold it in have and shorten it I think. Bumblebee looks great in color though. The hollow forearms don't look terrible no but I feel Takara should have done something different with them. His forearms are pretty tiny so maybe any other solution would've resulted in a toy that breaks very easy. So rant over I guess. Can't wait till August for MP Wheeljack.
  19. MP-22 looks interesting..... ...at least the head looks like Ultra Magnus in this close-up pictures.
  20. I can see that the shoulder transformation for the Durandals are not very fun. However the VF-25/VF-27 are fun to transform. Not as much fun as some of my other transforming toys but that stems from the fact that those where designed to be transformable toys and no collector pieces/representation of on screen characters.
  21. For me the worst offenders are the color of the feed, nozzles and beam turret barrels. The gun-pod color is a close second though.
  22. Just saw the pictures of the Hi-Nu Ver. KA. I'm disappointed that the kit doesn't seem to have a transforming frame like the Nu Gundam and the Sazabi have.
  23. The Brachiosaurus looks like something out of the prehistoric reboot of Berserk. The Movie Dinobots look quite cool but after DotM Shockwave I decided not to buy anymore movie Transformers.
