So the chest just sits on the wing roots like the old YF-19? No tabs on the inside of the wing roots to lock the torso in place like on Yamatos VF-19? Really?
-
It depends on the way they implement the clown hands. My Arcadia VF-1 fix-posed hands hold the gun-pod with a death grip to a point where I fear breakage when inserting or removing the gun-pod from them. Scream man that Gerwalk-Mode pose looks fine. Is it possible that you post an image of the side view of this pose? I would be interested how far forward you can bring the lower legs. Ideally would be a side by side comparison with the old 1/60 YF-19 from Yamato.

I'm not to keen onthe idea of a reboot because then it is highly unlikely that Kawamori will design new Valkyries for it. A Macross the First style reboot would probably lead to the usage of VF-1 Valkyries by the U.N.Spacy. I know the mecha part of Macross F is probably the most uninteresting feature of Frontier for the most fans but it is the selling point for me. I would love to see a new generation of Variable Fighters for the new show.

I wholeheartedly agree with the opening bags part. The perforated bags is pure nostalgia. Since I built three new Lego sets after a 15 year hiatus I also don't like the numbering of the begs and dividing them into sub assemblies. If there will be any new ToR sets this year (Ebon Hawk Ebon Hawk) I will probably just open all the bags and mix them together for more fun.

Would you say it is possible to swoosh around with the YF-19 without having the wings dislodging form their position in normal flight mode (i.e. not the high speed mode)? It is disappointing to hear that they don't lock into place or at least have a firm resting position especially since I had no need for the high speed mode to begin with. I always thought it would be a nice feature if they could implement it properly. Your description sounds to me that they halfassed it. If so that is really a bummer. Oh well I have the VF-19S to swoosh around with but the glossy paint job and the bright colors make me look really childish when flying it through the room. With the YF-19 I would look like an Air Force pilot planning strategic maneuvers.

In my experience NY can take quite a while until they ship your order. They are similar to HLJ. Sometimes they're fast sometimes they're not. Plus I don't think that they proceed orders during the weekend. [edit: ] Oh yeah, my copy is payed and sits in my PW where it will be for some times so I'm looking forward to see reviews and transformation guides soon.

I would like a series that is based around the adventures of the retired crew of the Monster from M7. As a mid season highlight they could upgrade to a Koenig Monster and visit hot springs all on different planets. That would be awesome. If I can't have that I would go for a AKB48 inspired show (like AKB0048). Something like idol singers and Valkyrie pilots team up Candidate for Goddess style to fight.... hm what should they fight? I know each other in a crazy race to determine who is the best singer/pilot in the known Universe. That could lead to cameos of other famous pilot/musicians like Ray and Veffidas. All this should be rendered in a cute art style and be called SMF:Macross (SMF stands for Super Moe Fortress) What would not be so great is a series about a badass female fighter pilot that is involved into crazy dog-fights in space and on the surface of a planet with a rock soundtrack and transforming capital ships that punch each other. That would be kinda boring.

Saw a review of the fist Warbot-Ron arm and I have to say I'm bored by seeing the same leg transformation/elbow joint over and over again. The standard extend the legs and use the hips as elbow just looks terrible with all the gabs. Hopefully the Feral Rex arms turn out to be better with their elbow joint. The colors are nice though. I dig the brown and violet mix especially the light piped eyes.- 9275 replies

The Scoria review makes in look really cool. The leg transformation is great. However I still don't understand, why the made the toy that huge. Are Fanstoys planning to to an interpretation on Grimlock to be in scale with Scoria? For me this is hard to believe. I think that would cross a line for HasTak given how popular MP-08 is. Personally I would've preferred if Scoria was in scale with MP Grimlock and came with a new hand, sword and blaster for MP-08 instead of the plateau shoes. Maybe I have the budget someday for this one.- 9275 replies

But he does not transform. Not that I'm considering buying it but it looks a bit to busy with all the panel lines. I received the zombie version of TFP FE Cliffjumper and I love it. The shoulders are terrible stiff and I wish the retailer had the regular version in stock but it is one great Transformer.- 17164 replies

Damn you Bandai. Not only do you make previous versions obsolete but also the same toy because you not able to produce a toy without any flaws the first time around! *shakes fist in anger*
-
Don't play with my emotions Bandai. Where is the announcement for the YF-30?!?!?!?!?!?
-
There was also a reissue of the YF-29 30th Anniversary if I remember correctly.
-
Thanks for the effort but now that it is available I have second thoughts if I really need it and if I can pay for it with all the stuff that comes up (YF-19 *cough*). Decisions descisions...

The design Boeing proposed is hideous. I kinda miss being a kit that discovers all the cool fighter designs in the past. Now everything looks alike. I also prefer the YF-23 of the VF-22 so that's that.

Regarding the FT Scoria. I still do not understand why he isn't in scale with MP Grimlock. I'm also disappointed that the toy doesn't have the gold chrome behind the translucent plastic parts. For me this is the one feature that is the one unique feature that identifies the Dinobot for me. However I could be biased because I can't buy this at the moment.- 9275 replies

And preordered but I have to keep in mind to cancel it if they announce a remold of Bumblebee as Cliffjumper. I though I would have not interest in getting the MP Ultra Magnus but since I will have soon a pretty complete collection of the MP Transformers in the new "scale" so I might pull the trigger on that one... ...after I saw some prototype pictures. Also my Autobot MPs need a leader because Prime defected to the Decepticons.- 17164 replies

See that is a tough call. For me I have almost no time or interest to sink my teeth into a video game anymore. I would love to however but they are just not as enthralling as they used to be. I have my PS3 and a mountain of unfinished games that I want to play but just don't get around. The last one I'm finished was probably Bayonetta and I had a hard time finishing it. I don't want to derail this thread entirely. I have time however to look at my toy display and admire my collection and even to take something out of the cabinet and play with it occasionally. As I said... priorities.

Just saw the movie and I like it more than the first one. The first one just left a bad taste in my mouth after a while. And I love Eva Green and the character she plays but... Is there really a discussion on going about the level of violence in this movie. As someone who saw gory movies in the 80s the CGI blood has no impact on me. It just looks fake and comicy. I don't know practical effects just have a greater impact on me. I loved the scene with the horse. This computer generated construct shows the horse from True Lies how to be a real movie star.

Nah, I'm thinking about canceling some anime statues so I can order more Valkyries. You have to get your priorities straight.

I can't wait to have MMCs Leo Dux in my hands in a few weeks. Hopefully Planet Steel Express will ship them soon.... ....hopefully without any highwayman intercepting my package at the customs office.- 9275 replies

If you don't pay your invoice they will likely cancel all your preorders and ban your account. When I canceled a preorder it was gone a few days after I left the message. Just check once and a while you account. I'm sure the preorder will be gone soon.
