  1. 1. I'd like to see a Renewal VB-6 with landing gear!!! 2. A bundle for the Armored VF-25F (I would prefer a stand alone Armor Parts set but that wont happen). 3. A stand alone VF-25G Tornado Parts set. 4. A bundle set for the VF-171EX Alto Custom with Armor Parts 5. The YF-24 Evolution (I have too many VF-15 variants already so no need for the Prophecy and I know I would be tempted by a release ) As far as unlikely releases go: 1. A Macross Quarter Renewal 2. Battle Galaxy/Frontier DX toys
  2. Thanks for the answers. The reason I ask is the Robot Damashii Kshatriya that comes with a stand. Now I'm looking for stands that go well together with the one that comes with the Kshatriya (i.e. stands that are unique to the figure). The regular Stage Act bases are just too plain.
  3. I'm looking for a display stand for my Robot Damashii Unicorn Gundam, Sinanju and Banshee Norn. Does anyone know if they work together with Bandais Action Base 1 series? http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN957722/Sup Thanks in advance.
  4. I know how you feel. I have Arcadias VF-1S in my warehouse and can't ship it until HLJ receives the Nu Gundam I wish Bandai had produced a bunch of Nu Gundams to go along with the release of the MG Sazabi because no it went from December restock to backordered. So now all I can do is wait.
  5. *looking at my Armored VF-25S in awe* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Is there any explanation why that is? Because the Armored Messiah has the same intake armor than the Super Messiah has. So it would rely entirely on the internal "fuel" storage. Which are much larger than on the Super Parts I assume. Other then that the Armor Parts look even more non-aerodynamic then the Super Parts. So he is really slow because it is so bulky right? Never noticed that while watching the show.
  6. In the first episode of Macross Frontier the pilot of the VF-25F casts off (hey it has a cast off feature) the Super Parts when the plane enters the colonization ship (also seen in the Galia IV episode) . Only Ozma seems daring enough to enter the atmosphere with the Armor Parts attached
  7. There seem to be to pivot points on the armature that holds the outer door of the leg bay. Maybe the Super Parts are attached to that door alone. With the double jointed armature they could fold under the wing allowing the missile to be fired. This is possible because the missile is attached to the outer door and not on the inside of the leg bay. It won't look exactly like in the anime but the leg packs could stay attached depending on the mechanism at work. If I remember correctly the leg packs on the V2 stayed attached via a magnet. If the leg bay armature is made out of metal that could be a strong anchor for the magnet in the fast packs. Combined with a few weaker magnets it could be a strong enough connection to keep the panels attached in the correct position. Of course that way you would push the leg panel out of position every time you try to open the leg bay.
  8. Do it! As I said it helps on mine with the loose legs in Fighter-Mode. A Valkyrie is not complete without the add-on sets if there where some designed.
  9. My theory is that Bandai is once again guilty of stupidly following the 3D models. It is quite possible that the crotch piece was this color in the 3D models but since the crotch area of the VF-25 has always some shadows cast on the crotch armor. As a result it blends in much better with the rest of the Messiah. So I assume this color is line-art correct. However it was a terrible design decision that was somewhat lessened by physics. On the other hand over at M3 it looks like a two colored piece so it is likely that Bandai was very lazy. It would be interesting to see if you can take the spare crotch armor from the Armored VF-25 and switch the inner armor panel with the light gray one of the Super Parts to make a better looking piece.
  10. Courtesy of jenius I agree that the VF-17S is a bit to lanky in Battroid-Mode but there is not much you can do without Overtechnology. The VF-19 looks also a not bulky enough for me but that are the miracles of hand drawn designs.
  11. I do like the VF-171 more. The collapsible backpack is something I miss on my VF-17 every-time I don't look from the front of the Battroid. Also the legs on Yamatos Nightmare don't peg into the backplate as nicely as Bandais offering. Which is a shame because it is less fun to swoosh around with it. Somehow the Super Parts cured this issue on my copy. However the VF-171 is an pretty cool toy. And it looks chunky and heavy like it's supposed to. Some of Yamatos design decisions where questionable (like the missing markings) but overall they are just nitpicks (minus the backpack I can't forgive this ). If you don't have in in you hands you cannot grasp the weight of this toy. The VF-19 is a bit better then the VF-17 but the Excalibur has its own share of problems. My major points of criticism are the glossy paint and the fact that it is terribly off-scale with the other M7 Valkyries in Battroid-Mode. And don't get me started with the ankles. The VF-17S has also the advantage that it was flown by Gamlin and not that Docker guy. Also Yamato made the Fast Packs so the VF-19S will always be incomplete and sticks out of my M7 collection due to the finish and the off-scale. I said it several times the VF-19S might be the best toy in my collection on its own merits but *looks at the M7 shelf* it seems off sitting their between Max and Gamlin.
  12. So I gave in and preordered the two Walkure Romanze figures. I don't even know why... it has to do with their.... ...facial expressions. So know I have to come up with an explanation why a girl on bikini and armor is standing in the display case. Oh well, April is far away so I have still time to construct some kind of scenario where this makes all perfect sense. However has someone on the boards experience with that kind of statues from Daiki Kogyo? Are they any good?
  13. My bet is that they continue with the DYRL line because they know have a new hat... *cough* I mean a new color so people are excited to buy them and replace their old DYRL Valkyries. On the other hand the new SDF:M Valks could be cast in off-white.
  14. Are the Samus and Link Figmas reissues already out? I've ordered them but haven't heart anything yet. I want to ship them with the S.H.Figuarts Blue Rose. Hopefully I can include the Sideswipe reissue into the package.
  15. Payed and sent onto the stack. Have to wait for a few items till I'm able to ship it.
  16. I had one in my cart to go with the Nu Gundam but then decided that I might buy him when I like the experience with the Nu Gundam. However I ordered a RG Gundam to get the right feeling for building Gunpla without ruining the MG.
  17. So I got all my preorders covered. It's nice from hlj that they allow for that so it is another +1 for their shop in my eyes and I will recommend them to other toy nuts. They also answered my mail regarding the preorders very quickly. Unlike NY who shipped my item to a new address but never send any word back that they received my message and are shipping to the new address. It sure sucks that HLJ declares the full value on the package but they are a big player so it is more likely that they will catch attention from customs. The 25% increase in price is something I have to keep in mind all the time and I do consider it before ordering . It is also the reasons why I can afford some of the marked up prices from NY during the great Bandai renewal madness 2013. Declaring the proper value has a second negative side effect for me. In my country when you import too much and actually pay the customs fee you might catch the attention of customs and have to proof that you are not a business that imports stuff. This would lead to even more administration shenanigans not counting my visiting the customs in person (+travel costs), hand in my own written import sheet (which is a clusterfrakk because web services is not a word known to custom officers) and the chance that your package is caught by highwayman that are so kindly to do the paperwork for you (and the cost only a very "small" fee). Importing toys sucks.
  18. Do what I did. Order more stuff so the savings will actually turn into a loss.
  19. Yes they did. I'm still curious what this image tries to indicating with the red boxes.
  20. The price on the Macross Quarter is still to damn high *insert meme here*.
  21. Yay re-ordered. Now I have to decide what to buy with the money I saved.
  22. it is a parts-former? I understand that most combiners are but the thing with the head, skirt, abdomen and an extra set of wings for combine mode seems kinda lazy to me. Or can they store all over the figure when it is not combined?
  23. I you prefer the TFC design and build-quality then more power to you. However I can't understand why. Don't get me wrong there are problems with the MMC design but if played with a few of them and they have so many intricate design quirks and features that they are a joy to handle. The accessories are mighty nice. That begins with the "trailer" of the Knight Morpher Commander, continues with the Cyclops mini sub bonus figure and the super shuriken of the Airborne Squad and has its pinnacle in the combining weapons of Feral Rex that can be stored on several places of the individual robots. I have a few collector toys but none of them are as toy like as MMCs bots (minus Cyclops).
