  1. The YF-19 looks terrible. I might have to cancel my order I have with HLJ.
  2. Seems like they are planning on updating their not Snarl: For more information Gigapower opened a thread over at tfw. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/981315-gigapower-mp-snarl-suggestion-thread-gigapower-team.html
  3. I think your right, we need more Destroids. I imagine them as colorful painted background dancers for the first all Valkyrie idol group. They even perform in their Valkyries with Valkyrie-sized instruments. They also transform.... into surf boards! And than the Destroids get all brutally murdered by the alien attack without having any characterization and screen time outside of the dance numbers. Don't worry there are many Desdroid pilots they get replaced fairly quickly and already in the next episode they are happily dancing again.
  4. I want a MP Tracks. The blue Corvette with the flames just scream 80s to me. I also like the red face on the white head. The Alternators/Binal Tech Tracks has too much car kibble in robot mode. I think the current design process of the MP cars would lead to a clean robot mode and a nice authentic car mode.
  5. I like the way the SDF-1 looks in Cruiser-Mode. In Attack-Mode it looks stoic but it is basically a floating skyscraper. But if I buy a SDF-1 for display it has to have the ability to transform even if it will never be transformed. ..ok maybe once.
  6. I love how Star Saber looks. I wonder of the e-hobby store will offer a Victory Saber repaint. I wonder if they would announce it before Star Saber will hit the stores. I would totally prefer this color scheme over the original.
  7. I guess Arcadia opts for only including those markings that are being shown all the time in the animation. I can't understand, for example, why they didn't print the triangle marking on the chest of the new YF-19. Even on the Yamato Gnu-Do it is included.l *shrug*
  8. I wonder what the designer thought when they created that arm weapon. To me it is clearly shown in the animation that the armament comes partly from inside of the forearm. Who would think of something like this. I would thing the arm weapon is used to be equipped on the fly and does only work in Battroid-Mode so it should be something that doesn't require a forearm swap. I guess the logical explanation is: because it looks cool!
  9. Well I like M7 the most out of all Macross shows. Best mecha variety, best music, best Miria... the list goes on and on. Of course this could be due to the fact that M7 was the first entry of Macross that I recognized as such so I don't have any nostalgia for SDFM(/RT)/DYRL/Plus that would bias my opinion... In my opinion the new show will have more M7 in it than SDFM because from my understanding Music was/is the cash cow of Macross Frontier so it would make sense to be focused on idols and music and stuff. And statues of characters in bunny costumes. I hope the new show has those AKB0048 style eyes. They look super cute. For me the ideal successor to Frontier would be a story about Max and Miria enjoying their sunset years. Slightly off topic: I don't get this fixation on grim and gritty Destroid drama. This always seems the most boring aspect of the Macross universe to me. Basara flying in a bright red Valkyrie with a mount singing his heard out to defeat space devils on the other hand..... PS: Don't forget Physica!
  10. Looks good (in robot mode). I'm interested in a colored test shot where you can see details of the face better. I'm also very interested in some images of the transformed prototype especially from the underside and some images from the side and back of robot-mode. I guess the cockpit splits to allow for a waist swivel. On the other hand the backplate looks pretty solid so I'm not sure about that. That makes me think if the whole backplate is detached from the upper body to allow for movement in the waist area. Which would be a terrible in my eyes. The test shot looks much better than the image of the 3D model. This is the Dakatoys Chronos right? I'm wondering how the FansToys one will look.
  11. The central spine looks terribly misaligned in Fighter-Mode. Hopefully the final version has a seamless, more natural flow in this area but probably not. Maybe this is still a prototype and partially mis-transformed so there is still a chance that the final product will look more like the line-art.
  12. I finally saw The Lego Movie and I think it is the best film ever made. Now I feel the urge to buy a blue space ship and some mechas.
  13. The hip joints of my VF-25A are still solid and I transformed the VF-25A more than any other of my VF-25 combined.
  14. Preordered! http://www.hlj.com/product/gsc44392
  15. I wonder if the final product will be a bit more smooth looking in fighter mode. The one in the pictures Reïvaj leaves a bit to be desired in that aspect. The head turret sits at a weird angle and in the shoulder area there are a lot of uneven surfaces. I guess the edge where the wing root meets the main body is also present in the line-art.
  16. But we all agree that it is not a preorder system right?
  17. You can always open the canopy.
  18. I love the dark blue canopy!
  19. I love my RD Unicorn/Banshee/Sinanju. It's just hard for me not to compare the RD Nu Gundam to my MG. The different shades of gray and dark blue plastic is gorgeous as is the turquoise frame parts. RD is a great as desk candy but I've been spoiled.
  20. derex3592 on the boards did an Oberth kit recently. Maybe you could ask him about and top down picture and create some drawing by yourself (or you know someone that is good with drawing). Here is the best picture I've found: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=108144 Check out his other images: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=35120&page=59#entry1082583 Hope that helps
  21. Just saw the images of Nendoroid Link from Windwaker over at CollectionDX (http://collectiondx.com/news_item/41014/nendoroid_link_legend_zelda_wind_waker) and I have to have one. Release date is August 2014 so I have to ask when do preorders start and how fast do they sell out for other Nendoroid? Please don't tell me I missed it already. (I would prefer hlj because they will send out my MP Wheeljack in August ).
  22. It is normal that the high speed mode wing hinges droop out of the wing root in Battroid-Mode? That looks really ugly.
  23. I guess I'm spoiled by the Nu Gundam Ver. Ka I build this winter. It just looks less bland than the RD one.
  24. I think Gerwalk-Mode looks great but takes up a lot of space. I usually have one Valkyrie that I took out of my cabinet to be shown prominently on my desk. This one I have often in Gerwalk-Mode and the semi Gerwalk-Mode where the arms are not deployed. It looks almost as it could be a real thing. The F-35B with STOVL opens panels, rotates parts for this. So why not have a aircraft with two engines that has VTOL capabilities by rotating the turbines. However I dislike the Gerwalk-Mode of Yamatos VF-19 because they can't get their lower legs under the center of the plane. This looks extremely unpleasing to me. I think for a Valkyrie to look good in the in-between-mode it has to get this right, the Excalibur doesn't. I'm always confused about the VF-17 special Gerwalk configurations. In line art it looks like lower legs don't rotate under the center of mass rather sit behind it. Is this correct? (courtesy of the Macross Mecha Manual: http://www.macross2.net/m3/m3-index.htm) I tried to pose my Yamato VF-17S in that way but I failed every time. I guess it is impossible until they make your toy Valkyries out of Overtechnology.
  25. So I saw the review for Citizen Stack and I have to say that I really like the idea because I always thought of Ultra Magnus as his own entity and not Optimus Prime with armor. And I dig the chrome. However I don't like the hollowness of the toy and the lightweight feel of the whole toy like the lower legs or the cabin/torso. It feels more like a cheap toy. Much like Generations Metroplex. Of course it is hard to tell this through watching a video but that is the feeling I got from it. Lets see what Takara has to offer. I have a question for all the hardcore Ultra Magnus fans out there. To me the stacks at the shoulders at most toys of Magnus are too thin and too long. It is true to the G1 toy but I always preferred the proportions of my FP Shadowcommander. From memory they where less tall in the 1986 movie but I could be wrong
