  1. Well I ordered it 2012 I guess so no change in returning it. I just took it out of its display to play with it and remembered how full of qc-issues it is. Maybe I will check the box plus I have the YF-29 Ozma now and that one looks nice and the joints are tight. I just hat to let of some steam after handling the toy.
  2. This can only mean we get a YF-25 Parzival (the green one) down the line.... ..and thus before the VF-25S reissue....
  3. I just played with my YF-29 for a bit to get prepared for transforming the YF-29 Ozma Custom and something is just not right with this toy. Out of the box it hat like super loose joints everywhere a super messy paint job on some of the detail and chipped of paint everywhere. I mean how it is possible to get a paint chip on the top of the metal shoulder block? While handling the toy I noticed that it can't hold a good a-stance in Gerwalk-Mode because the legs will do the split due to a very loose thigh swivel. I just have the feeling that NY had sold me a second hand copy that was returned because of a sub par condition out of the box. Frustrating.
  4. Does anyone know if filming in front of a greenscreen has any negative influence on the acting? I'd imagine that performing in a fully built set allows the actor to embrace the role he is playing much more. Regarding my previous comment. I don't think that CGI is bad or something but as model-kit builder I like the idea building something out of actual stuff. I know making sets and props and such things costs more than render them with software. On the other hands CGI is still expensive and I guess this is the reason the Transformers are not really in the live-action Transformers movies. It is just that expensive to render the designs so they hat do cut the Transformers part down and replace it with.... other things. Or why many scenes are shot in the night because they can render a less deep field of view like in Pacific Rim. I'm no expert in such things so if I wrong please don't be offended and explain to me why I'm wrong because I like to learn new things.
  5. TRACKS! Wait, what are we discussing again?
  6. As much as I like the VF-25 design (and the Frontier mech designs in general). I hope the mech designers do not continue the Frontier design language. I would love to see a new kind of Valkyrie with a new design ideas in the new show and as collector toy.
  7. Or when Bandai used a batch of bad plastic again and the toy crumble in our hands the moment we take it out of its box.
  8. Is this a cold fusion estimation? You know something that is always some month/years/decades away regardless of which point in time the estimation is made? No disrespect but do you have any evidence for this claim. Because "it is the logical next step" doesn't cut if for Bandai. I think the VF-25S will be release as a VF-25 Newrenewal Edition with web shop exclusive add-on sets that won't fit the Renewal edition of course. Or Bandai will release all Frontier Valkyries that haven't been cast in toy form before they announce a reissue. After the reissue is sold out Bandai will announce the V1 of whatever Valkyrie will be included in the new Macross show. I hope it is the latter and Bandai reissues the YF-29 Alto Custom bundle with included add-on set or a bundled VF-171EX Alto Custom.
  9. Well you can always buy some AoE Transformers to keep you occupied while waiting for the package from Japan.
  10. ...and they exchanged the oil with water.
  11. You mean like the Gunpla MG manipulators?
  12. This.... ..and this A mechanism that allows the nosecone to be shortened A cockpit rotation gimmick combined with a working egress hatch Integrated panels to fill out the gaps in the torso area and integrated intake covers Double jointed knees and free leg movement in Battroid-Mode Properly recessed turbine fans. I know most of this seems pretty unfeasible due to anime magic but if they should be able to integrate some from my wish-list if this company make it a 1/32 scale model. As a sideeffect this would satisfy the model-kit guys.
  13. I just like the look and feel of different materials. It is just nice when handling the toy. It's like when you drive an car. If the interior has many different materials and not just matte plastic it looks much more significant. The addition of different materials is one more way to distinguish this toy from the mass produced Transformers you find on the shelfs of a TRU imho.
  14. Wouldn't it be cool if they abandon all CGI and went back to model ships flying through space fighting? You could add special effects in post but the ships themselves should be built for real. This would be a great addition to the puppet creature shown in the images.
  15. I agree that the toys are not aimed at collectors in a way that I would prefer. Like I said Takaras best approach in my opinion where the Alternity cars. However the paint job on my MP Streak is great and I wish that all Masterpieces continue in quality from that level.
  16. I hope they don't mess up the paint job.
  17. I never had this happen to me. In addition I never heard of other people who had this happen to them. Feel free to provide me with some examples.
  18. Why? This is a web shop exclusive which means that Bandai will produce as much toys as orders arrive until a certain deadline. The preorder price will stay the same until this deadline is reached. After release the price for the toy will be evaluated again to sell the remaining pieces NY has as left over.
  19. I'm sure the majority of people cancel items that are not hard to get after release.
  20. How times have changed.
  21. I preordered the new MG Hi-Nu Gundam Ver. Ka over at HLJ. I'm hoping it has some kind of transformation gimmick. http://www.hlj.com/product/ban992078
  22. Did NY sent out your two copies Master of Macross?
  23. I think the golden intake cover is not glued in right that is why you see a gap there.
  24. Those ankles. Definitely not sexy!
