A "canon" with one 'n' is something the author stands behind. A "cannon" with two is something it's unhealthy to stand in front of. Official media has not, as far as I can recall, identified where exactly the pinpoint barrier emitter is. Master File actually supports your hypothesis, though. The VF-19 Master File says that the VF-19's pinpoint barrier system has three discrete emitters: one in the antiprojectile shield and one in each shoulder. The VF-22 Master File similarly indicates that the PPB system is located in the forearms adjacent to the stabilizers that are used as reinforced shields. Presumably this arrangement carried over to later models. Yep, that's where they're hiding, even if they're almost never visible on the VF-25 in the animation.

I love my Vitures - they're fantastic. I initially struggled with the nosepads until I realized the long ones were meant to bend to extremes. Fixed it right up. Only goofy bit are the far corners are blurry for me, but never notice it unless I'm purposefully looking at the corners. There is alot in the content consumption space for these glasses. It's like "travel" for the use case of a vehicle. -
I think I'd prefer something in 1/72... probably Wave or Max Factory.

I think those holes are just thruster details and won't be used for any attachments and, if they make a P, they'll do new shoulders like they did for the HMR. Maybe they could be anchors for fighter booster attachment? The booster should connect to the back in battroid. Fighter is the mode where fancy engineering would need to be involved if they wanted to avoid attachment parts. We shall see!

My head cannon had always just kind of assumed the shield was where the pinpoint barrier generator was and that it was only usable in battroid or gerwalk. I know the anime goes against that when Ozma tanks a ship killer beam by turning his back to it, but I still like the idea of the shield having a technical purpose as well as an aesthetic one. Also today realized that all of the nozzles that give forward velocity in gerwalk are there between the back plate and the shield, so I will need to basically rebuild and remap both sections to make this work with the shorter shield. No easy 'stretch and smudge' shortcuts for this part. Oh well, will try to work on that tonight before I hit the road again tomorrow and lose my ability to work on this for a week or so. Will post whatever I get done before I head for the airport.

Sometimes a movie can make far more than it’s budget worldwide, but I guess other things like hardcore marketing can cost far more than the budgets and I’d imagine that spending on that one was quite a bit. I remember a lot of commercials for it compared to the more recent film that seems to mostly just have a YouTube spot here and there.

I still really enjoy the high energy of their first two albums. They had an almost desperate kinda sound, like if they play hard and fast that they might just starve to death and it made for a really aggressive sound compared to their albums that came later
-
Mercy Rabbit is definitely back, but not too sure if that’s the final art for the box. Some of the other kits recently had shown different art at the shows than what ended up on the actual box, but they are getting close to that supposed deadline for the tv Queadluun Rau release and maybe it is just needing a background.

I’m actually hoping those come from Bandai in the hg lineup
-
The ports/holes onto of the DX's shoulders look like they would line up with the sounder booster. EDIT: Interesting... it looks like the holes would line up where the HG kit has the sound boosters on the shoulders but the Hi-Metal it looks like it might not use them. I don't own either of those versions could anyone confirm how the sound booster is mounted for either (or both) of those? HG: HiMetal:

Instead of expensive, conspicuous goggles why not spend like half or less on XReal or Viture glasses and use them with the laptop/phone/tablet you likely already own? I use mine with my ROG Ally all the time to get some gaming in while my daughter is in her dance classes. That's why I'm struggling with stuff like the Apple Vision Pro and Samsung Galaxy XR. Meta already brought affordable VR to the masses, and XReal/Viture/Rokkid are providing more affordable, lighter, less conspicuous ways to use XR on existing platforms and devices. -
Oh Man! I just want the figures but I agree they will be really hard to paint especially the eyes at that scale!!!

$120 USD (not including taxes and whatever else). Still up for grabs one hour and 45 mins of going live.

I'm sort of assuming the box art for VT-1D will be representing the camping scene, so maybe the lighting will make sense in context? I do miss the Hidetaka Tenjin art though. The VF-11 w/ booster rocket box art isn't bad.
-
It really doesn't seem like there are any connection features to accomodate the sound booster... Also gotta wonder if those shoulder holes are cosmetic or if they are deep enough to hold the 19P's speaker fins.

Indeed! The Wave 1/72 VF-171 series was very welcome. Would be nice if they'd add a battroid selection but I'm not holding my breath. Even moreso I'd like them to finally do a 1/72 & 1/100 Destroid Spartan. Max Factory seems to be nearing the end of what they can do with the VF-1 (still need Max and Miria VF-1J though), so Macross 7 seems to be the next focus. Will be interesting to see what Bandai does with the HG line once the VF-31 and VF-25 variants are released. That will take a while though. Hoping they will do VF-11. Not sure what else they would consider. Maybe Macross 7 since the Max Factory stuff is 1/72, and the HG line is 1/100. Would be nice to see VF-19 and VF-17 variants in the HG line. I guess they still have the option to dip into Macross Zero (VF-0) as well. And lastly, maybe adversaries from Macross Zero (SV-51), Macross Frontier (VF-27), and Macross Delta (SV-262). The adversary option could be the most exciting. Hasegawa is where I really see some gaps I want filled. 1/48 YF-21. 1/48 VF-1D. 1/48 VT-1 and VE-1 would be amazing. 1/72 YF-21 battroid. 1/72 VF-11 battroid. And I know it's not likely, but I'd welcome new plastic kits from Macross II, from any company.

Seeing that the Z2 Extreme is only a modest improvement, that's probably for the best. Already mentioned Content Consumption. Long duration usage is a tough pill to swallow because having that thing on your head gets tiring (2-3 hours, max). -
Post Skywalker Saga Star Wars Movies

That'd make a pretty short film, wouldn't it? He dies, and his spirit inhabits a clone body and that's all she wrote. Pretty much the same as in those terrible old novels. He dies, his ghost goes to possess a new body that immediately starts falling apart because of his evil dark side magic, lather, rinse, and repeat. That would've made the tantrums feel a bit less undignified.- 424 replies

Will give them credit, I think I do like the proportions of this one's nose section better than the Yamarcadia (better shape of the neck/LEX, and it makes the nose look longer), but this thing looks like a genuine frankenvalk. There is so much Yamarcadia DNA here, I don't know what to properly call it. So much of this looks directly copied, it's kind of insane. The landing gear look straight up identical (minus the paint, of course ). I think they did a bit better with the knee extension, but then again, the Yamarcadia didn't really need the sliding covers for the Fire Valk, just the YF-19. Bring on the Yamcadai DX! Though, moreso, bring on the rest of the VF-19 series. I'm still waiting for someone to make a white and black VF-19F.

Thanks so much. There are plenty of small mold lines that I had overlooked somehow and the gloss makes them more evident. Luckily they are in rather inconspicuous areas. 😓

Thanks guys! @Thom I didn't know Trumpeter was doing kits like that now. They must have gotten smart and got on the band wagon! Yours came out great!!! @Papa Rat Your knight looks terrific! Finishes like that are a PAIN to pull off and yours looks great! @SteveTheFish WOW! BIGTIME FLASHBACKS! I had and built that kit back in the 80's! One of the advantages of living near Little Tokyo, LA. If any parts are warped, some hot water should make them pliable to shape. I loved that kit, but lost it over the years. It has GREAT detail on it too. - MT
