    I’m still contemplating if I should preorder this. After Rodimus got such raving reviews I want something cut from a similar cloth. I have no use for AMT Rodimus because I have the Kuro Kara Kuri one but I get the feeling Takaras build quality cannot compare to Flame Toys.

    Same re: prepayment. I *think* I ordered treads from Amazon Japan and fighters from Amazon US. I’ve honestly lost track of all of my preorders. Stuff just shows up on my doorstep unexpectedly.

    We don't know who became Michael's legal guardian after his sister passed in 2055. The most likely candidates to serve as Michael's legal guardians (or at least guarantors if he continues to live alone) are his friend Klan's parents. We don't know what his exact living conditions were, so it's hard to say how he would have lived after his sister's passing. There are (rare) circumstances under which a teenager can legally live alone in Japan, though these almost always require the consent of a parent or other legal guardian who serves as a signatory and guarantor for any contracts like apartment leases and such. IIRC, the most common such case is students from very remote rural areas being given permission to get a place closer to school... though staying with relatives or in a school dormitory is vastly more common. There are also very rare cases of minors living alone (with permission) either due to the child wanting more independence from very trusting parents or not getting along with their parents to the point that neither can stand to see the other, both of which are used in popular fiction far more commonly than they occur in reality. In Macross 7, Mylene Jenius is one such case of a minor (aged 14) living on her own with parental permission and support. Macross Frontier's Alto Saotome also started living alone at 16, renting an apartment in the Senzoku district of Island-1.

    Keep in mind, Threadripper IS NOT for the average consumer. If you need a Threadripper, then you are either using it for work or run serious computing tasks. Yes it can game but you are wasting money (or you have FU-monies) if it's just for gaming. You should be crunching through large datasets or training a bunch of AI models if you need Threadripper.

    As annoying as it was, kinda glad Amazon Japan asked for payment upfront for the Tread. Didn’t have to worry about any changes in shipping prices or in the price itself in the interim.

    I remember having to do this many years ago, when I signed up for a Tenso account - an ID with utility bill in my name. I guess it's fair for companies to ask for this during registration or during the point of putting in the order - so one can refuse if uncomfortable with it at that point & look elsewhere. Doesn't look that good when they only ask for this when stuff just about to ship on an order placed months ago, which I am assuming it's the case here.

    In a perfect world, all these non-G1 figs would get their own molds that correspond aesthetically with their particular series, theme, or line. Alas, in a world of ever-shrinking budgets and ever-increasing overhead, we are worlds apart. From the instant I saw Alchemist, I thought "Prime Bulkhead" immediately. My mind hasn't changed, and I think it'd be a wasted opportunity not to do a slight retool and crank out another somewhat G1ified Prime character. I can also see what you're seeing insofar as retooling and repainting him into Prime Ratchet. They could easily get a twofer out of this mold. A trinity if they make an Earth mode Prime Ironhide.

    Detectives These Days Are Crazy! remains at least mildly diverting. It's more a sitcom/slice of life series about an unsuccessful detective and the weirdos around him than an actual detective series, but at least it's entertaining.
