  3. The Tornado Hobby head looks nice on the MB HiNu body (they did go a bit heavy handed with the panel lining in contrast to the MB body). The Zero Plan head looks nice in its own way too, but looking at the pic where its mounted on a body I realized it (the head) looked off and then also realized the body wasn't the MB HiNu body, but probably a different 3rd party kit body (I think the Tiger or the Yujioland Hi-Nu).
  4. An interesting garage kit is being offered, If you build the 1/24 Wave kits, it's: Armored Cavalry Bottoms 1/24 Resin Cast Model Philfi Kokoshnik (Resale) RC Berg's featured items "Armored Cavalry Bottoms 1/24 Resin Cast Model Filfi Kokoshnik (Resale)" and "Armored Cavalry Bottoms Resin Cass" are being accepted for reservations on the character & Hobby mail order site Amiami Introducing 2 products of "Assembly Kit 1/24 High Detail Skirt Armor Kit for Scope Dog"! Not really sure what OVA it's from might be Merowlink!? but its an interesting add on! but you have to paint it! Id love here to sit on my Hi-Metal R Scopedog too.... 🤗
  5. Agree with the observations listed. I too do not quite like the design of this custom Hi Nu head Came across two other interpretations of the Hi-Nu gundam head, Tornado Hobby which is quite close to that of the OA, RG and Metal Robot design and another by Zero Plan, which is an improvement but the details looks rather busy
  6. I liked the first, may as well go for the second. I still hate that the best stuff is still the web exclusives
  7. Hey @treatment, I tried asking very nicely however they made it clear to me having a Japanese forwarding address such as Tenso for parts support will not work either. Well that’s all she wrote folks, you break it you buy it my friends.
  8. Ouch! That's quite unfortunate turn of events. They do indeed will not ship parts outside of Japan, but they can ship to a jp-address forwarding service like Tenso. That said, something must've really changed either at Arcadia or Tenso or something else for Arcadia Customer Service to not to be able to use a forwarding service anymore. Must be another shipping side-effect of the T-Virus even tho you're in Canada...

I would love it if somehow 3rd party Transformers companies were able to make HMR Valkyrie variants and Destroids that Bandai won't release.
  10. Hello everyone, selling mine for cheap and free shipping. I'm not sure the loose leg (provided video) can be fixed, but the rest is in excellent condition. Here is the link
  11. Around the 2/3 mark on the current season, not a lot of the shows I've tried have had much to show for themselves. I'm particularly frustrated by The Casebook of Arne because, despite its pretensions to being a detective story, it's so badly composed that calling it a detective story feels like a slight against actual detective stories. (Esp. since the answer to each mystery is usually whatever the most obvious supernatural monster is given the circumstances. It basically obeys none of Knox's Ten Commandments for mystery writing so every deduction and every conclusion feels like an arse pull AND baby's first mystery at alternating times. A lot of the suspected isekai and adjacent slop turned out to just be actual isekai and adjacent slop. Jack-of-all-Trades, Party of None is your usual overpowered protagonist affair. A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation is almost the embodiment of tedium. Isekai Office Worker started out interesting but after a few episodes it's basically just the same joke on his lover's overprotectiveness over and over. The Villainess is Adored by the Prince of the Neighboring Kingdom is an otome series with none of the usual parody of subversion, so it's not funny or interesting it's just the adventures of a blatant Mary Sue. I've had a bit more fun with romcoms like Tamon's B-Side, which remains both a romcom and a frank examination of how phenomenally toxic and fake the idol industry is.
  12. There are four versions of this mold. The other two are a MekaNek and Voltron head. But there are two other color variants of the #2 as well. when it comes to Castle series, the first is not like the second.
  13. Hey @m0n5t3r, I appreciate the validation regarding Classics Hound. Peach of a figure, he is! Also agree with your Newage Hound callout. I have him, too, and he's done so very well. The only thing I don't like between Magic Square's and Newage's Hound figures is how low the shoulders sit on both. That's actually accurate to both toy and toon, but it's a detail I'd rather they fudge on to have the shoulders sit higher, i.e. more "anatomically correctly". Expanding on your reasoning, the vast majority of the lead third party legends makers are thrashing official toys in virtually every category - aesthetics, articulation, complexity, detail, paint, accessories. They're on the pricey side for their sizes, but with Hasbro's price creep over the past year or two, the bang you get for your buck investing in legends scale grows ever more impactful. Additionally, at the smaller scale, you can fit more on a shelf, which is great if your display space is dwindling, as mine is. That said, I enjoy collecting Hasbro's main line, and I wouldn't balk if 3P legends makers started upscaling some of their figures, especially those that Takara/Hasbro totally whiffed on, to CHUGL scale as an alternative option. An upscaled MFT Iron Sky would make so much money for them right now in light of the lackluster SS86 Astrotrain figure. In fact, they could upscale all of their triple changers and just watch the money flow in.
  14. damn. sorry to hear that's how the chips fell. It's pretty much what I was expecting, but was still holding out hope. They don't even have any official overseas presence, so I get it. I can't guarantee anything, but if you'd like to mail me the part, I could try to see if I can make a 3d print of it
  15. Congrats @rsvictor1976 on getting a hound figure. That panel behind the head really does irk me... reminds me of Universe Ironhide/Ratchet. A waste of money those two. Guess I'll stick with my Classics/Henkei Hound a little while longer. As @M'Kyuun said, it's still a great toy even after all these years. But c'mon Hasbro/Takara - 2027?

  17. I've been using Kaizo paints and REALLY like them, but you can only get them from Robot Kai in California (their house brand of paint made by someone else). They recommend 1:3 thinner ratio...so one of their .3 ml bottles can be quadrupled. Yeah...Gaia can be a pain to get. Great paint though. It seems lately though more and more places have pretty good stock at least in the US. Even the thinners. I've been pleasantly surprised. Robot Kai carries Gaia as well and they have a pretty good selection.

Agree- they've got the VF/YF transformation down, so I could see a YF-19, still one of the most popular Macross valks, selling like hotcakes in the HMR line. I fear they'd probably just downscale their flawed 1/60 YF-21 for the HMR line without fixing any of the fans' criticisms, despite the fact that its smaller size would be a boon. At the very least, integrate the backpack connection. A VF-11 would be welcome, too. I think Yamato was the last company to make a transforming toy of it, and that was circa 2010-11. It's well overdue a new toy, and the HMR scale offers just about everything that the 1/60 scaled toys do, minus integrated landing gear for some inexplicable reason, at a lower cost and at a more space-friendly size. I'd love to have an Sv-51 in the HMR line, too. I have the old Yammie, but the joints are a bit loose and wobbly so I don't mess with it. At HMR scale, it'd be a little more playable, methinks. We need some obscure designs in HMR as well: the VF-9, the VF-14, the VF-5000, the Variable Glaug, just to name a few.
  19. Yeah, the only Starfury I know of that exists is an ancient 1/72 kit, and even that was pretty large. The scale of that universe was part of made it so memorable.
