Woman of the hour was great, as soon as I saw Anna was in it not to mention directing, I was all on aboard. Since some of you watched FALL as well, the tower according to the director is based on the KXTV/KOVR Tower (also known as the Sacramento Joint Venture Tower) is a 2,049-foot-high (625 m) communications tower in Walnut Grove, California, United States.

The day Luffy finds the One Piece!

I guess it’s designed so she can pedal it instead of getting a taxi
-
They did get one or two of the past ones, but I haven’t seen any since then. I kinda doubt it will happen

Not really into the Megatron arm look but didn't want to leave the fusion cannon with batteries inside the box.

So the only pending PLAMAX Macross kits are the Armored VF-1J, VF-19P battroid, and a Nose Collection series item? Hope they announce some new stuff soon. Fire Valkyrie fighter would be nice. Or the missing Max and Miria units. Or more varieties of Super/Strike battroid I guess.

I really want to get and build this one!!! Haven't tried the brand yet. VF-1D is one of my old favs! Hopefully BBTS will get it eventually.

They’ll be a little smaller for sure, but maybe not too bad. Hopefully they do the Spartan and Monster. I still remember them teasing a 1/100 Monster many many years long in the past, even before the dark ages when Bandai teased a hmr tomahawk or even conceived a phalanx

Sound like if you smooshed Rush, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest into a blender and this is the result. Little bits of those different elements can be heard throughout.

Most metallic paints don’t look as good with top coats. It tends to dull it a bit. Depending on the paint and as long as it’s fully cured, there are some panel lining methods that will work fairly well. Enamel pin washes with less aggressive thinners can look pretty good. I’d suggest test spots on the under armor like you suggested before totally committing to a technique

Hopefully the 1/12 figures will look good next to the upcoming moderoid kits.

Thanks. I didn’t topcoat any of this. Not sure if it will affect the color or not. Probably do a test under the skirt armor since it lacks any details and honestly needs some love…aka panel details added eventually anyways. This kit lacks most details we see in any IMS kits which came later. I think this was Volks first go at FSS as a plastic injection kits based on resin kits they put out. The surfaces that are outward facing have ok detail, everything else lacks any surface detail and instead is riddled with injection marks, large void areas and rough textures. Not a complaint, it is what it is.

Nice work on the gold

Just a quick drive by to prove I'm not dead (yet). Snow delayed my next flight, so I had no excuses but to sit down and start on the arms. Look and proportion seem okay to me, but still a lot to figure out on the articulation (those piston things are going to be a pain since they don't follow the movements of the rest of the arm) and the fork attachment yet to go.
