Totally I enjoyed the visuals and world building. Definitely edges closer to Blade Runner. The actions of most of the main characters were an ongoing head scratcher. And the big bet on a second season is so obvious it hurts . If that's true, it might explain a lot. But doesn't anyone review the writing?

The new DHL Duty Paid shipping that Nin-Nin is offering costs 10404 yen. The toy itself is 18900 yen. I don't think that new price structure is any better.

All right, let's stick a fork in this space turkey. Season finale: "The Real Monsters". I've heard it said that Noah Hawley confessed to using ChatGPT to write this series, as a way of explaining Boy Cavalier's incorrect attribution of Clarke's Third Law. I think he might've used it to try to understand how tides work too. And our next contestant on the galaxy's favorite show Play Stupid Games is... We get a sitrep from Eins to show how screwed they all are. That seems like a rather glaring oversight, doesn't it? More of Noah Hawley's oral fetish. This is why this series is not scary. Nobody in this series behaves like they want to survive this. There's no fear or tension built by the monster if everyone is a Maximum Idiot who seemingly craves annihilation by the monster. OK, almost nobody. Credit where credit is due, Hermit's old unit actually seem like they want to live. ... what? Surprising lack of main character deaths so far... let's see if we can't bump those numbers up. Oh ho... I guess that's one we didn't see coming. Gettin' real tired of your Mary Sue BS, Wendy... Back to the beach? First... ugh. Second... UGH! I can't even call that hot garbage. It's more like a retaining pond of room temperature untreated sewage. They are clearly banking on getting a second season, and I don't think that's going to happen. So there's this non-ending with no significant plot progress, no closure, nothing in terms of interesting scares or even impressive practical effects. Just a bunch of PG-13 stock jump scares and pretentious nonsense. They clearly want this to be a big thing, like a huge threat to the planet or something, but we know nothing comes of it because Aliens is set 59 years after this and, y'know, Carter Burke and all don't mention half of Earth being destroyed by a horde of rampaging killbeasts and murderous synths. I'd say I look forward to Alien: Earth II: the Wholly Preventable Consequences of Idiocy... but I'd be lying.

While I build sub assemblies, sort and sand the KOG I’m going to crack into this Dunbine box set I got off that Bandai site thing. Going to kick it off with Bozune. It has two runners and a small piece of ribbon. Really basic, I love basic. Hahaha. I’m very excited for this and I guess the KOG is going to be awesome too for different reasons. Sooooo shiny! Lol

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu - May 22, 2026

The problem with BOBF was that they made Boba a complete and utter putz. I get the idea of going from crime underling to crime boss is a difficult transition. But don’t tell me Boba didn’t pick up a few things and learn a few key lessons hanging around Jabba and his palace crew. The absolute defanging of Boba was what brought that show down.- 78 replies

Lol yeah it's Cena-ish, I guess, I used to think Mafex was head and shoulders above Figuarts for faces most of the time, but honestly, it may have been rose-tinted glasses. Like Bandai, looking back, I feel they've been off as much as they've been on, actor likeness is all over the place on their releases.

Just leave the helmet on, because I have no idea who that is that they used for a face model

I didn’t mind Bo second season, but they way overdid her in the third. Mando definitely was the best part of Book of Boba, but like with bo, he completely makes Boba seem even more insignificant than he already was and ruins the entire point of him even having a show to begin with.- 78 replies

It looks good @pengbuzz. Clearly you are not a flat-earther! Good luck with the show.

It is fun which is probably why it did so well. But it's a popcorn flick rather then being something momentous or epic. That's a downgrade in my estimation, and I just can't take it seriously.

My 2 pence, Mando was the best parts of BoBF. The show finally got interesting rather than maudlin. And I really like Bo-Katan so I think she was a good edition.- 78 replies

It's representative! The astronaut is just a bit higher in altitude, that's all. Maybe describe it as the astronaut is on a spacewalk during a Hubble repair mission?

Lol I don't really get the hate either, it was fine, far better then the vast majority of the DCEU, which isn't saying much, but people tolerated that mediocrity for years, Superman 2025 was at least fun.
