  2. Ok, I couldn't resist.... For a kit originally designed in 1963 by the British... and repopped who knows how many times by the Japanese before this copy from 1980, I gotta say, fit is not bad at all! Work on the BUFF continues...
  3. For sure! Sucks that it's not an option, as you get a set of free stickers to address the paint/deco omissions on the stand-alone toys. Despite their 'everything Transformers unified' agreement with Hasbro, Takara's still finding small ways to treat their fans better.
  4. Today
  5. This is the Studio Series one right? I don't remember my Constructicons coming with stickers. I thought it came in a carry on luggage?
  6. I think admins can still see who likes what post, as part of the board functionality. I've also found the current like system a bit weird, but I understand the like system has been abused in the past by select members, and thus has been watered down more and more over the years. In fact, it is still being abused today lol, just in very sneaky ways.
  7. I'd buy this gift set if it were released in the US.
  8. No, I see where you're coming from what with the colors and stuff like the wingtip guns on forward-swept wings. Also the shoulder missiles kinda look like red flat pieces.
  9. Macross Frontier the Wings of Goodbye: hero vehicle is a one-off prototype of God-like destructive power crammed to the gills with Fold Quartz of such size and purity that it can only be harvested from Vajra Queens which are themselves extraordinarily rare and ridiculously dangerous to kill. Said hero completely destroys vehicle while saving the day.
  10. Amusing ...special 'anniversary' stand for a DX which for all intents and purposes, was a cannon fodder valk. Reserving an anniversary DX release for a CF valk...🤑 Eat that walkure!
  11. Great topic @M'Kyuun. As a kid I was already heavily influenced by Japanese mecha without knowing it seeing cartoons and imagery that originated from Japan without me realizing its origins. However, since this discussion has started with Western mechanical design the first instances that had a profound impact on me were (of course) Star Wars and Mechwarrior. Especially the cover of the 1993 SNES game and the Timberwolf mech itself. In high school I was obsessed with drawing the Timberwolf from a head in perspective which seemed easy to to for my 13 year old self; just three boxes and a circle for the cockpit and the missile pods. I never was able to get the legs quite right though. Still it is an iconic design it its own right. Never knowing where it originated from. Looking at the Mechwarrior wiki it seems like the legs and arm cannons stem from the Marauder (aka the Glaug).
  12. If someone is going to put it together without paint, that does help.
  13. Maybe Bandai will print "01" on one of the stabilizers, claim it was intentional and totally not a screwup, and then include a decal sheet for it on the next Hayate 31J reissue.
  14. "Another Genesis" is, sadly, neither a new anime series nor a Robotech sequel. 😉 It's damned weird, really, getting new mecha designs (from Sentinel and TakaraTomy!) four decades after the series went off the air... 🤨 Knowing your Mospeada toy collection is even more extensive than mine, I'm sure you're excited to see anything fresh and unique. ☺️
  15. Really sorry she couldn't make it home for Christmas. But she's in the best place for her right now and I'm sure you are visiting as often as you can. And when you can't, I'm sure she's hoping that you're doing everything you can to try and take care of yourself. Try and keep yourself strong for her in anyway you can.
  16. NGL, I am tempted to get one of these just for the different number and the Walkure logo on the stabilizers even though I already have a 31A. The problem with getting multiples of these CF types was that the numbers would all be the same with them being printed on. This is the one thing they should have left off and included decals for, imo.
  17. That's their earliest guess (unless they find something else; as it is, she has blood in her urine and needs more tests).
  18. I'm neither for nor against Gundam being "super" or "real". However, there's one salient fact that stands out when compared to Macross: Gundam: hero vehicle is an experimental craft Macross: hero vehicle is one of many hundreds of mass produced vehicles Again, I have nothing against Gundam being "real" (or "super"). It just speaks volumes to me on Kawamori san's mindset and world-building.
  19. I keep wanting to do that with all of the streaming channels...then they bring up something I actually enjoy....the latest was HBO with Welcome to Derry, a show I didn't know I needed.....if they announce a "Welcome to the Overlook Hotel" spinoff, I'll be locked in for another few years...LOL But I am with you on Netflix, after Stranger Things, not sure what they have coming...there was talk of a Stranger Things spin-off, but who knows....I hope the end of the Upside Down setting is over...... I still have The Boys final season with Amazon, the second season of Fallout so far I have not been able to get into lke the first season.......and HBO is starting up with yet another "GoT" series, plus Primal Season 3.....so the weakest at the moment for me seems to be Netflix.....
